I've been having a lot of problems with my sims too 😞
Same, I deleted all my mods (but not CC) and when I teleport sims the action doesn’t show up and they glitch out, and when I select on other sims it takes like 12 seconds for it to actually switch to that sim. Not sure what the issue is but it’s so AGGY
I’ve been watching for less than 2 mins and as soon as you showed mc it immediately clicked in my brain that it’s probably mc that’s messing with my game. I just went through my entire build folder trying to find what was messing with my game, none of it. It didn’t even register with me that I had just downloaded my right before an update 😂
Tell me why sims doesn’t support old mods like why can’t it just transfer over, so they change the entire structure of the game every time?? 😂 Minecraft seems to do it….
for a few days something bizarre happened with my sims and I realized that it is because of some faulty mods that affect my game badly. When I want to go to the map to choose a house, I don't see that bottom right button that directs the character to the house, if I want to edit the house, I can't press anything else and all I have to do is exit completely from the game...but, watching your video, I hope this method will work for me too :)

My wicked whims is still broke. It says I have outdated whims wen I don’t and it tells me the mods that could be a problem but I can’t seem to find them in my downloads

To delete the broken mods is to delete all mods

I installed a traits mod, pretty light, it loaded and everything but when i chose the household it stayed in the loading screen 😢
That means that the mod is most probably outdated, if you know the website where you got it from, does it say when it’s been last updated?

Yes, if we use mods & those mods are broken, then it’s the ts4script files that we need to :
1) write down on a list (on your notes app) > so we know what we need to update
2) delete all those ts4script files
3) open the game & see if the issue’s fixed
4) if it is > install the updates for the mods
5) if it is not > resetting the mods folder (you can do this just by renaming the mods folder into mods old > opening the game > enabling both cc & mods in options > apply changes > exit game > reopen it > close it straightaway & a new mods folder should pop up)
6) install ONLY updated script mods in the new mods folder (& you can copy your cc from your mods old folder, but CC only)
For me it shows only “game version” without “.txt”, what do I do?
The other sims can move, but my vampire sim can’t, I put mods like clothes, hair and skin for him, and for other two sims, everything was fine for 10 minutes then my vampire sim only couldn’t move or walk, only teleport and do things like piano or watching laptop, but no “walk here” option like others.
Also in the mods file after installing the game, the file “resources” from the “mods” folder is originally there, I didn’t put it in there and if I delete it……

@@victoriavvv65478 Resource.cfg scans your .package files on the mod folder and the subfolders. I doubt you arent able to run the game after you deleting the resource.cfg, since its scanning the mod package files and not your games packages.

i been working on trial and error fixing my white screen error and after 3hrs of torment i finally fixed everything. all cause i had one mod i overlooked that was OUT FREAKIN' DATED!!!!

Hello! Resetting the mods folder is the way to go, it always works wonders for me
I will write down below the steps 🙏
1. Enable cc & mods in the game (game options)
2. Apply changes (if those do not apply, i have a fix for that ruclips.net/video/ejP49zTg7FM/видео.html > close game
3. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed
4. Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!)
5. Launch the game & close it rightaway
6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!)
7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder
8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏)
9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder
my the sims for doesn't load like it keeps loading when i click Resume in the principal menu, early i started a timer and passed an hour and it was still loading 😭💀

If so, that could be due to broken mods, so there are 2 methods that we can try
Let’s see how the first one goes, this is what I do after every single update:
Here’s how we can do this:
1. Tick those mods&cc boxes in your game options & apply changes (if those d at o not save, you can fix this ruclips.net/video/ejP49zTg7FM/видео.html > exit TS4 > if you cannot enter your game options due to lag > skip the step & do it after renaming the mods folder)
2. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder, cuz we will use it later on)
3. Delete these files from your The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this will get rid of any mod temporary files, it's very similar to clearing cache from your apps!)
3. Open sims game & close it rightaway
4. A new Mods folder should pop up in the Sims 4 folder
5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder
6. Download the updates for your script mods (if there are any! If there are not, please wait until that creator updates them 🙏)
7. Install your script mods into your new Mods folder

Yes, it does work, but it’s best to manually delete them & also reset the mods folder if you still encounter issues!

can CC be outdated and cause these problems or just script mods?
Script mods are usually the ones that pose an issue, BUT there could be also cc that affect the game (the functional cc, so make sure you remove & update any recipe, cook, interactions, traits related cc)
@@Darielle okay thank you! i don't have any functional cc, i only have CAS cc, so i guess they're not the issue. I tried updating my script mods (i only have 3, Mcc, better build&buy and TOOL) but my game is still lagging and sims won't perfom actions...i'll just try to repair the game and do everything you said here and hopefully it'll work again.

So you need to delete all tsr4script files?
Yes, as most of them get broken after update. You can then check for updates & install them once again, only if they are up to date

My sims do that with every object
This doesn't give you any way to find out which CC is broken. You're just deleted everything. Lame af. Does not help at all.
you can also use this method and instead of deleting them move them to desk top and gradually add them back until you figure out the problem file. no reason to hate :) it doesnt look like this person has a lot of script mods so its easy to redownload

Hi!! i have this issue and can't seem to find an answer anywhere since i think im the only one having this or what.
But i hope you can help me. Here's my issue:
I just updated my game with the newest patch (cozy bistro kit and the riveria thingy) and then suddenly the texts in descriptions like in the kits you owned, household information, and even in my notifications in game, the texts are unfinished like some are missing. It goes like this "the cozy bistro kit is th " and in household information it's like "the pancakes family ar " like the texts is just erased and it's unfinished.
I already cleared all my mods from my mods folder and it's still missing. What do i do?

hi. I'm having a problem where I can't find the conflicting mod.
My game crashes in the loading screen when traveling or leaving the CAS.
I removed my mods and my game works fine so I assume it's a mod. The problem is that when trying that 50/50 thing everything works fine, or when I "find" the conflicting mod, I remove it and put the rest back in, it keeps crashing, so idk which is the problem.
But the sims its so stressfull its always somthing

Do you use ui cheats in the game? You can try to remove it & then update it
Also Please try to search the term ts4script inside the Mods folder & write down the names for all mods. Then delete all of them & install the updated versions for them, for me it works every single time
@@Darielle yeah, I use twisted mexi's search pie menu mod it probably could be that. But I've tried the method you mentioned in your videos before where you delete the EA folder but I don't think it worked.
I have a problem, please help. When I download objects it doesn’t show up in game bar. For example grannies book. When I search this object in game it doesn’t show up. But it’s in my mod files

Yes, it is applicable for anything as long as you have issues in the game due to broken mods since there might be some other mod that is also broken
First things first, search the ui in the search bar inside your Mods folder, delete it and if the issue persists, then there might be another broken mod inside the Mods folder that needs to be deleted as well
Generally, all mods that end with ts4script need to be deleted & updated after every single game update

Do you have script mods enabled? It could also be they weren’t unzipped right in the file. I hope you figure it out
make sure it isn't buried in too many folders, and that its unzipped and in the mods folder. if on Mac just directly drag to mods, no need to unzip.
All your ts4script files need to be in Mods/(Subfolder) Only one subfolder is allowed.
