Ben & I reckon you will like what they have done. It’s still got the essence of the Jazz, but it’s been future-ised! Lol - that’s not even a real word, is it! 🥴🥴
He makes a good point about eCVTs and guess CVTs in general. People often complain about the engine noise when driven hard and if you keep your foot down the revs will stay high thus making the engine sound strained. If you don’t drive CVT in this way, you make good progress without all the noise if you keep the revs down. My Outback, I never really got the revs up beyond about 4k, didn’t need to really yet it moved along nicely. Flooring a CVT gets you nowhere any quicker as the revs need to catch up. Far more relaxing if you let it accelerate in its own time without pushing it.
Great review, a very practical small family car. Despite the size this is a perfectly viable family car if you don't need to carry half a house around. And being a Honda it is very well engineered and should be reliable. I like the fact that Honda have used a touchscreen but kept separate controls for the air-con.
It is certainly a very clever car in terms of the practicality. Love the seat adjustment and the flat floor with rear seats folded. The Jazz always has been excellent on that front. It looks very very nice too! Excellent review, incredibly in depth!
Thank you, it’s amazing what is packed into a Jazz, and like Honda ads, the car is very clever whether it’s seats, safety or new resin to keep the refinement tip top.
@@PlanetautoUK I also really like the water resistant seats. It's certainly very different but great for families where drinks may get spilt or wet dogs may sit on the seats. The hybrid drive also seems to help give it quite a punch when you put your foot down. I hope this sells well for Honda.
It’s the kinda thing that’s going to hopefully appeal to water sports enthusiasts, young families and the like. Hopefully it breaks the stereotype too Thank you Wull
As always, another great review.I really like this car along with the standard Jazz. It a tough choice for me. I really like the water-resistant interior on this one. I also liked the intro
Hi, me again to let you know I decided to buy a Jazz EX in Premium Crystal Red Metallic. I did the deal yesterday and will hopefully collect it on Friday May 14th. Geoff.
Now, if it was a plug in hybrid with say 50 electric miles....... I am a Honda fan and I may have bought it instead of the MG 4. Thanks for the video guys.
I put in my order a couple of weeks ago. Jazz EX picked and delivery is end of September. Couldn't get ANY discount on Crosstar. EX does have heater steering wheel and lane departure warning. Crosstar had better audio.
Impressive, good bass and doesn’t distort at high volume, the Eclipse Cross that arrived yesterday has Rockford Fosgate, that takes me back to Punch subs, but back to the Jazz, impressive high and mids too.
I think this model gets an uprated stereo system, but loses the heated seats and steering wheel from the EX. I'll be going to my local dealer soon to check them out, tough choice.
@@PlanetautoUK Hey, I've probably got it wrong, wouldn't be the first time ! Great reviews on both Jazz models. I'm going to check them out just on the strength of your vids, you should be on commission :D
@@PlanetautoUK Well, yesterday I test drove both the Jazz (an EX) and the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid. I found the Yaris a better car to drive, very responsive, good acceleration and happy to be thrown around, because of that though, I only averaged 50mpg in it, which made it a bit pointless for me as a hybrid should be frugal. Also the back was tiny. The Jazz I loved, comfy, loads of room, a nicer interior I felt and encouraged me to potter along enjoying the journey. Because of this I'm very probably going to be ordering one in the near future. The only downside with the Jazz is that they don't offer any vibrant colours, not everyone wants black white or grey. Where's the neon green or Dynorod orange ?
Ah yes and thank you - we’ve been wondering how the Yaris compared, vibrancy is always needed, at least you can get a premium crystal red, we liked the Crosstar colour we had, understated true, but the combo worked.
Orange trainers ? , all that safety , easy to stick a pram in .. eco .. I want one of those , with a red badge on . A 2 litre engine , turbo charger and suspension that can send you towards a doctor , faster than you can say Nurofen ...This may look expensive at 22k ...its going to do great business on the PCP deals market ... unless of course the economy tanks and then happy days and deals galore . Great review , the old Jazz’s weak spot was it’s cat . It was one of the top cars , to nick it from . Any idea if that issue has been addressed ? It would be my only concern , about buying a Jazz with a higher floor .
Oh yes, we forgot the cats were like Gold dust and worth a mint, we’ll have a look - Oo an R engine that’d be a weapon, Orange and white logo and you guessed it, Ben has 2 different pairs one R Pump and one Puma. We’d be happy with a tuned sport ideally manual and 4x4.
Planetauto Iron man Civic , one of our friends has one . It’s cool , im not jealous at all, in the least ....please do have a look at the Cat , it’s been a real issue , parking nose in , is the best solution , but at that height , in town , if its vulnerable it will get done ... if you come across them , don’t get in the way these gangs are nasty .
Apologies for the delay, we’ve just had a reply on the Cat, it is now smaller due to being hybrid and in a harder to reach location near the manifold, dealers quote 2hrs to replace, hope this reassures you somewhat.
Planetauto Thank you , ive got a test drive in October , when my car is in for its service . So not late but spot on timing , so thank you for not forgetting . Actually really impressive , take a bow .
I have always been a Jazz fan, driven many and my sister used to own one. Looking forward to reviewing this one soon!

We totally agree, John! 👍
You get the great performance from Honda, and with those magic seats, it’s amazing how much you can fit in it...

Awesome thank you Matt, it’s a fab motor with some really cool bits.
Jazz EX has a bit more spec. Heated steering wheel and lane departure warning.

Geoff.
Hello Geoff, great news, thank you and keep us updated - enjoy it
I enjoyed watching the Video 😁 Review. Looks smart Inside and Out. I see that Ben has had his haircut 😂
Glad you liked it, Jamie! It’s a great city car 👍
Ben’s hair looks way better now, lol!

Glad you enjoyed it! We found what you bought amazing. Enjoy your MG4 😍 *A
Amazing review thank you both !!
Thank you, Wayne - really glad you liked it! 😊

Great news, yes there’s even more safety features too, what colour have you gone for?
Nice car love the colour and the front end
Thank you, yes the colour scheme works very well, great car.
Just came across your channel... Brilliant 👍🏾
Glad to hear that - thank you, Ami Ami 👍
Super review. Is it made in Japan or its made somewhere in Europe?
Thank you - really glad you liked it! 😎
Jazz manufacturing moved back to Japan in 2014
In Japan, they have honda fit (jazz) cross for previous generation (GK5).
That we didn’t know, thank you - we’ll go and look for some pics
Thank you for a great video. Which model do you prefer, The Jazz EX or this Jazz Crosstar EX ?
Id go for the Crosstar based it being able to do light off-roading, both are very good though *B
@@PlanetautoUK Many thanks for your reply.
Great review. Not sure that the crossstar has all the tech you mentioned. Cross traffic and blindspot?
Yes, well spotted we’ll add a note, EDIT we’ve removed those bits, needs to rerender before being omitted, and thank you so much for the heads up.
No worries. How is the upgraded stereo?
Impressive, good bass and doesn’t distort at high volume, the Eclipse Cross that arrived yesterday has Rockford Fosgate, that takes me back to Punch subs, but back to the Jazz, impressive high and mids too.
Hello, nice review! Can you please tell me, if the new Jazz can do towing, like the previews model(2015, 450-1000kg)?, because is a hybrid?Thank you.
We’re just double checking with as Honda, as it doesn’t say on our press pack, thank you
Just had a reply, apologies for the delay- you can’t tow due to hybrid power train
@@PlanetautoUK K, Thank you.
What about servicing costs. You have a petrol engine to service annually, unlike a pure EV.
You also need to carry out regular servicing and perform checks on an ev, just no oil change etc

Ours definitely came with heated seats, George. Will check on the steering wheel though!
