      I'm picking up a used one in a couple of day's time. No car is perfect and for me the worst aspect of this one is how seriously ugly the thing looks; it's as if it was designed by a committee that couldn't make up its mind what it wanted. Two toytown playschool aspects strike me about the car - firstly those hideous wheel trims and secondly a similar feeling about the dinky digital instrument panel. On the test drive it seemed a tad noisy at times but I agree with you about its general handling abilities and ride quality. I also much apprrciate the seat comfort and the pleasant light grey upholstery, the latter aspect melding well with the large amount of glass area to make the cabin give an altogther airy atmosphere.
      Having totalled my Toyota Corolla I'm mighty glad to have got rid of the thing, its mega annoying feature being the ludicrously tiny, fiddly dash buttons, I could shoot the culptit responsible ‐ grrrrrrrrrr! On the Honda Jazz these controls are sensibly large‐ish and much, much essier to use.
      I'm sure my replacement vehicle will prove to be a far better travelling companion than its lacking predecessor.

    Great review. I've had three Jazzes, and this will be my fourth (when I upgrade). I've always loved the TARDIS nature of the car. It feels bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

    Like your style and more what I would call real time rather than rehearsed. Picking up one of these next week, and I'm sure it'll slot into family life without any problems.
    Keep up your entertaining style.

    Great car review. More suitable for city rather than motorway driving in my opinion.I notice a thick A pilar. Does that obscure your vision when crossing junctions on the right hand lane? Cheers

      It’s been a while since I drove it. I don’t recall any such issue. But I strongly recommend you try to take it for a test drive.

    Can you put a set of golf clubs upright in the rear seat area with the magic seat up?

    The alloys with plastic covers are coming with several electric vehicles now. Adds a mile or two to mpg with this aerodynamic “feature”. That’s what they say. The base Tesla model 3 and base Model S come with the same covers

      And can be replaced cheaply when you kerb the wheels...

      @mehere779 Год назад

      @@stationstrainsofwalesandthesou Unfortunately not. Around £150.....EACH ! I kerbed one of mine within a week of getting it - the trims are proud of the tyres, so it's easy to do as well. Could be cheaper to replace them with nice looking proper after market alloys.

    What is the lifespan of the relatively small battery?

    • @BrownCarGuy
      @BrownCarGuy  3 года назад +1

      At least 10 years from what I can ascertain, but you’d better check with your local Honda dealer.

    Very comprehensive review, much better than some well known channels. How do you feel the hybrid system compares to the Toyota system ?

    • @BrownCarGuy
      @BrownCarGuy  4 года назад

      The latest systems are very smooth and Unobtrusive the honda system is very clever but the engine noise is odd as mentioned

      @@BrownCarGuy test drove one today, great (not so) little car. Very smooth, relaxing to drive, gearbox is fine providing you don’t stomp on the throttle. Think it has one of the nicest interiors I’ve ever been in, minimal, well designed and feels robust. All in all very impressive!

    Enjoyed the ride with you in the new Jazz. Thanks for that. Get ready for lots of nerds like me telling you that the main point of the ‘B’ gearbox setting is to increase the regenerative braking effect to capture more energy for the battery!
