Shayla, when you said you were going to paint one of your walls white, I wasn’t a fan, just because I love the wood, but it’s absolutely beautiful! ❤ Thank you for all the tips today. I especially liked your face cream idea and I plan to make my own. And also for the supplements you take. I already take some of those. But I know I need more since I just don’t feel good and have no energy these days. I just turned 64 Sept. 3 and I’m feeling it. Thank you so much for everything you do and as always your videos are beautiful and I love all of them. Take care. 🍁🍁🍁

Hi Shayla! I found your channel through you new homeschool channel (which I love as a mama of 4 just starting to educate my five year old this year)- but I’m always so inspired each time I leave your channels!
Thank you so much for your lovely videos that are not only beautiful to watch but for also teaching us something in every video you create!
I loved your fall decor on your beautiful island! And a think the home management binder will be so helpful for me! Thank you for sharing!

I think all I ever wear anymore is mascara, a little blush, and lip balm. When I hit about 42 I really noticed that makeup made me look older. Foundation and eye shadow just accentuate fine lines and new set wrinkles. Eyeliner tends to smear as the day goes on and I find myself wiping out the lines under my eyes. So I just threw all that stuff away. It’s probably all toxic anyway. These days I accent my look with feminine clothes, big earrings and colorful headbands. Husband still oogles at me like I’m 20❤

I love the idea of the small binder with the list of cleaning! It’s the same struggle here! We’ve been cleaning our home for years and yet my kiddos wander around saying they don’t know what to do! 🤪 Your videos are quickly becoming my favorite. I SO very much appreciate your practical and doable tips and ideas that you present from a place of peace and rest! I feel inspired and uplifted.

Hi Shayla, the wall is so pretty. It does add color and light. I wouldn't have dared to cover that wood before but after seeing yours I surely would. You are just a neat, wonderful lady. Ty for sharing with us.

Love the white washed wall in the kitchen! Makes it look so much brighter. I am a sucker for white walls. I have a lot of houseplants and herbs growing in pots. I also decorate w/colorful pillows, rugs and I have a lot of bold pottery in my kitchen. I love white walls everywhere b/c in the fall/winter when we have shorter daylight hours and frankly mostly cloudy days, the white just brings in more light and makes things brighter. :)

Lovely video! I have used Shea Moisture for years with my frizzy wavy hair. I’m inspired to be more intentional of bringing autumn feels into our home despite TX weather.

I love. how the decorations you have are from outside and not bought. . .just from your garden and such. That is beautiful. Candles are always the go-to for me and the only decor year round for me. I need. to bring in nature more often.
I love wearing eyeliner too (only on. thetop of my lid). Hehe. It is the only make. up I am wearing right now!
I also have noticed that people are more likely to click videos with. my face on i. . It. is very weird. I sometimes post thumbnails without a picture of me though. I don't care. They can watch it if they want to. or not. :)
Glad your hair is feeling better now! Yey bouncy curls for you!
I don't wear nail polish at all. I started taking supplements at 28 because I am anemic!
Wow you whitewashed your walls! I am in shock because I also loved it but the white looks so good!!!

that’s very good to know about painting your nails! my nails do the same thing. i’ve been told it can be due to our hashimotos or possibly my heart defects. either way i think ill try wearing nail polish again. i haven’t worn it since i had my babies so thank you! ❤

Definitely agree on the early Christmas prep. I usually have gifts done by the summer for the next Christmas. Or at least have an idea of what to get each person.

Just found your channel 😊 really enjoyed this video! Please may I ask, you showed a lot of vitamins and I've been exploring taking vitamins to help with my phase of life and all that brings, particularly problems with lack of energy and low mood. However, I really can't afford all the vitamins you take, so my question is (I am getting around to it, promise) if you had to choose two to help with energy, brain fog and mood.....which ones would you suggest please? Thank you.

Hello Kathy! When two of my children were diagnosed I immediately sought out professional counseling to help them. It was the best choice ever! My children were really struggling before and I did not know how to help them even though I have ADHD. The counselors helped us all more than words can say. I truly believe they made a difference in my children's lives, and taught them coping coping and communication skills that they may have never learned otherwise. So I highly recommend counseling. I think it will be especially helpful in an adoption situation as well.

We're going to a psychologist who does art therapy. My child didn't like tackling things head on and being in the spotlight. They sit on the floor and draw pictures, explore textures, and talk. It's lovely.

Heading into my last year homeschooling & haven't started yet. Gotta finish canning first! I find that I cannot give my whole attention to doing a good job at harvesting/preserving if I am trying to do lessons, too & vice versa! Our pigs get butchered this week, turkeys next, tomatoes are done & pears are next. THEN I am relieved of the most time consuming tasks of my day. I was doing year/curriculum planning today & can NOT believe how MUCH my daughters & I studied over the past 10 years. Every topic I looked at? We have already studied! That is the joy of homeschooling; you can fit so much in & yet go very slow/deep at the same time. It defies logic!!!! And although I have loved it, I am looking forward to moving on from that stage of my life. I have so, so many other things that I keep wanting to branch off on, but have to rein myself back in. Sirach 5:11-13 " Winnow not in every wind, nor start off in every direction. Be consistent in your thoughts and steadfast in your actions."
Can't remember the last time I was able to wear nail polish😢. I used to LOVE nail polish, even had a streak with fake nails. But my 'job' just destroys my hands. it isn't worth the time & $. I do still do my hair & wear makeup most days, tho. & it is surprising, because I have the SAME exact makeup, brands & routine, that I have had for 20 years & I'm always getting compliments on it. No one can ever believe that I have a 21 yo 😆. I love fall & autumn colors....sweaters, I have a weakness for sweaters lol
