Ik most of u played it when were kids so u didn't noticed that. But i played in my 20s 10 years ago and replayed recently and: it was category B it stayed category B.

@@howkit9028 Those pigs fire arrows. Arrows with fire in their tips. I didn't realize at first but it is what they're firing. I was so used to J.J. I just assumed it but yeah you can parry most of those arrows at insane speed
Now that you mention it, RE4 OG was the first RE where bad guys actually used technology and firearms against you. Prior to RE4 OG, bad guys were monsters, zombies, and animals that would bite you, scrape you, and claw you, but they never used technology against you. Then in RE4 OG you had bad guys impaling you with pitchforks, shooting crossbows, machine guns, and even firing a rocket launcher at you. Taking a hit from the cultists’ rocket launcher would put you in the red, but not actually kill you. It was really stretching the limits of believability.
@@perfectsplit5515 Because the main enemy of 4 are literally just people being controlled and enhanced by a parasite, hence they can still use weapons(even then no weapon enemy exist like the Novistador or Regenerators) Rockets and Dynamite not killing is a result of RE4's damage mechanics. Explosives only kill you if you're already low health otherwise they just plummet you to near death, unless you get grabbed by a Ganado with Dynamite and somehow don't shake them off you, then you can basically die in "one hit"

Press crouch button when it's flying, there would be prompt for that. Idk why they tied it to crouch but at least your defense is not entirely revolves around parrying.
Respect to those who use REFramework with its Global FOV. Really expands the worldview and make aiming more realistic (albeit harder to aim with little to no zoom).

Games before had too many technological limitations and had to rely on overbearing sound design and vibrant colour pallets to sell the atmosphere, whereas nowadays with so much graphical advancement the gravity of the environment can be sold in a much subtler yet true to life way. Subtle ≠ no atmosphere, I'd argue that it adds wayyy more and makes the environment much more creepy. But like everything else some people will prefer the look and feel of the original and some would prefer the remake, there are also some people who'd appreciate what both of the games were able to achieve given the time and circumstances. Also I'd love to know what is this "soul" you keep talking about?
