As an American who misses being in Germany so much I loved seeing the food what you had and did with it and the stores. That food looks all really good too! Vielen Dank für das Teilen mit uns! :)
I didn't used to eat much peanut butter either but 1 the peanut is a legume so a lot of protein 2 if you buy crunchy version you can use it in salad dressings, pancakes, smoothies, and my latest favorite to add a couple of large table spoons full to my pad thai (instead of eggs or meat). It makes a creamy saucy soupy stew of the spice packet and I always add more veggies so it is very hearty. You might want to try that? Any Asian dish can use some peanut butter and lemon juice (imho). I think the lemon juice would go nicely with your red lentil soup. We have a Turkish restaurant here that adds an extra swirl of that spice mixture on top of the bowl of soup and serves it with flat bread and lemon. Yum! What do you eat (if anything) for breakfast? No fruit? Or was this just lunches and dinners?
Oh, breakfast, my arch nemesis. ^^ No, I usually don't eat breakfast, I have a cup of coffee, and, if I feel I need something in my stomach, a piece of bread, but that's it. When I don't have to work it's different, then I eat porridge or even a big brunch, but during work days, when I have to leave the house early, it's just too early for my stomach. I think I'll have to try to add peanut butter to my dishes - it's just that we are not that used to it here in Germany. I like peanuts, though, so maybe I'll get used to it. Thanks for the tips! :)
I wish I could reliably count portions but my partner has the metabolism of a teenager still 😂 he inhales his own food and then asks if I’m going to finish mine or want more. He somehow only weighs 63.5 kilos! Hasn’t gained anything in years. We’re actually worried about him needing more calories in some form with some diet changes he has to make, if he starts losing too much weight.
Oh my!! Oo In our relationship, it's rather me who inhales the food. ^^ I really have to force myself to stop after one serving. And it's not that I'm still hungry, I just like to eat! I love food! :D
@@CocosUniverse oh I absolutely inhale food at times (same reason as you, I just really love food) but the health issues I have mean I have to be extremely careful with my portion sizes and eating speed. I honestly get a little jealous of his metabolism and ability to eat like that 😂
