    This is an excellent tutorial. I had previously bought the version 2.5 of this aircraft but not complete a single flight with it due to the complexity of the FMC layout of the older model. I cannot wait to try this version out.
    I had flown as a passenger on an E-190 last year for the first time and loved it. Can't wait to replicate the same flight on this version.

    These planes are great. I was able to put a pretty decent flight together from KBOS to KJFK on my very first try. The auto throttles caught me off guard on final but I was able to land manually and pretty well. It's actually a relatively easy plane to fly. Now to rewatch and take copious notes so I can actually get good at it. Thanks for making such a great product.

      So tired of this notion. Flight simulators are what you make of them. You can do barrel rolls in x plane and do extremely realistic commercial ops in msfs. And the flight model of a plane is up to the devs, not the sim. Fenix block 2 is extremely realistic with the physics according to real a320 pilots

I have to admit I had some issues but ,and I haven't seen any comments, the way I fixed them was through SkunCraft updates (and paying attention to the writtren tutorial as well) It found I had some missing files. To the point I made it all the way and didn't crash on landing!! Also I don't have the FMS/Man click point but all seemed to work well.Thanks for a great vid.

    27:10 What was up with the N1 and EGT when you clicked FL CHG?
    Also when you were on the LOC/GS the plane was pitching up and down too much. Is that fixed with .02?

    • @xcrafts_development
      @xcrafts_development  Год назад

      The ongoing changes to the XP12 flight model make it difficult for us to fine tune the engines, as Laminar Research keeps changing the flight model, which then breaks what we have done. However, the N1 and EGT was improved in v1.0.2 and it is part of an ongoing effort to improve it as X-Plane 12 becomes more stable. This doesn't happen in XP11.
      There were some flight model improvements made recently which should also improve the pitch on final approach. This would be available in v1.0.3.
      I hope this helps!

    • @xcrafts_development
      @xcrafts_development  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! You have to disconnect the autopilot yourself, I don't think any plane would know when to disconnect it automatically :) If you have a joystick or any hardware,
      There is no Speed brake arming, because the E-Jets have an automatic speedbrake auto deploy system. So you don't need to do anything, the speedbrakes will deploy automatically.

      I am brand new to the E175 - but I imagine you can fly the hold ( the old fashion way ). CRS to track inbound , make note of your WCA - on the inbound leg , standard turn once you cross the fix , then fly the outbound leg with the reciprocal angle +\- WCA , And then turn around at the appropriate DME , to track the inbound leg.

I fully agree with your "by the book" procedure but as a controller, many pilots can't even fly a hold properly when they can program it into a FMC. So that's all I was alluding to, this add-on lacks something that many payware aircraft have, even many free ones, so it might not be the worst idea to show what you've done a great job of explanation in this particular add-on.

    I saved a flight mid air, I failed to do some mode selection turning final, and wanted to go back and have another go. When I loaded the saved flight, the FMS dumped all its data requiring me to completely reprogram the FMS midair not far from the ILS. The X-Plane "Save Flight" option only saves the parameters that X-Plane sets and provides, like position, speed, altitude, weather etc. It cannot save the state of our plugins, systems or FMS. So in other words, loading a saved flight with a preloaded FMS is not possible.

      Hi David, we'll be very happy to help but please come and talk to us in our Tech Support forum forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/280194-e-jets-family-tech-support/ And share your whole flight plan and attach the 3 following files: the Log.txt, Log_X-Crafts_CURRENT_FLIGHT_PLAN.txt and Log_X-Crafts_main_debug.txt after your experience this issue.
      In general, if you have set the FMS right, if you entered all the necessary information on the PERFORMANCE INIT Pages of the FMS and you are in VNAV (magenta ALT in crusie) the plane should always start descending on its own, so there must be a step that was missed in your flow.
      Please do come to our tech support and we'll be happy to help you. Cheers!

      Are you using the paid version of the E-Jets, by X-Crafts? The free version does not have an EFB.

    How can I update the airrac?

    • @xcrafts_development
      @xcrafts_development  Год назад

      I assume you're referring to the fact that the FMS now suddenly shows that the nav data is from 2021. The last Navigraph AIRAC has shipped without the file that we've been using to define what version of the AIRAC it is, so the FMS now shows the date for the default X-Plane data. This is an issue with many 3rd party add-ons now. However don't worry, it still uses the latest AIRAC that you have installed. So just update the way you normally would. In v1.0.3, we will fix the AIRAC version readout on the FMS to reflect this change.

    I silently and patiently follow this product since 2020, now don't get me wrong but I am fairly disappointed. After almost 3 years no holding mode, no fms speed mode? I mean, modelling-wise it looks great and all, but for its price I expected a bit more than this

    • @xcrafts_development

      Hi Alex, We have already developed most of the logic for FMS speed, however this feature wasn't reliable enough so we decided to not include it in the release version because any incorrect speed input can cause erratic VNAV behavior. This feature will be added as soon as it is developed fully, which should be relatively soon.
      Unfortunately, although holds and procedural are available through the default X-Plane FMS, those functions are not accessible to us, unlike all the other autopilot modes in X-Plane that we can and do utilize. So that means that we would have to create a fully custom implementation of those procedures, which are complex problems to solve. If it was something straightforward, we would have definitely added it already, but since it would definitely take a few months to develop fully, we are prioritizing other more sought-after features by the community.

      I can see you’re point, and I can see that you put a lot of effort in the product - altough it is a bit immature; I’m sure in the end it will be a must-have in a simmer’s hangar (full-series buyer here)

      For a quality add-on like this, constant updates promised/coming, outstanding communication from the X-Crafts team, and full-on tutorial videos, I disagree. If this was released half-a**ed at this price, no communication/support from the dev, no updates coming, etc then of course this would be overpriced, but I was happy to pay for this to support X-Crafts and their future moves. They actually listen to feedback from simmers. Just look at the responses above - how many flight sim devs are helping simmers troubleshoot through RUclips video comments? Nothing is ever perfect, but they get an A+ in my book for this and can have my $$$ for what we have now and what's to come! Great job, X-Crafts!
