I’m not gonna lie this game had some remarkable graphics. This needs to be remastered like crazy. The fact that the sky looked amazing the characters were on point and everything looked respectful was amazing
I like how Vegeta actually wanted to get Yajirobe to join him. And the cherry on top was that the declined invitation, along with the scoff about Nappa’s death, caused Vegeta to turn Super Saiyan.

After having watched Kai I have come to the conclusion that while the voice acting as a whole is significantly improved in Kai, it does not come close to the feeling and emotions that can be felt in the funimation dub. Gohan’s new voice is by far the worst addition to an otherwise very solid Kai dub while Frieza is definitely the best addition.
When vegeta went SSJ after defeating goku's & friends, I was so upset they chose not continue that what-if storyline. lol Imagine SSJ vegeta, back then woulda been crazy.

Okay but honestly? The cutscenes in this game are fantastic, the angles, the dynamic shots. It's all actually really really damn good. Its been years since I played so I kinda forgot
I like how the first what if explains why Vegeta killed Nappa. It wasn't just because he was useless after Goku paralyzed him or his disobedience, it was because he deserved a warrior's death even if Vegeta had to do it himself. It's Saiyan tradition, and not even the low count of remaining Saiyans will stop Vegeta from seeing that through.
There is something so subtly comedic about Krillin getting absorbed by Cell. The way Yamcha reacts as overly dramatic music plays over him, the way Tien casually insults Krillin, its all hilarious.

I would really like if the newer games had the “what if?” scenarios, especially Xenoverse. I know they have parallel quests, but it’s not really the same thing
I hate the parallel quests because they couldve been so much more. Theres no actual cutscenes or unique lines for anything, its just fights. It doesnt feel like Goku accepted Raditz offer when he speaks exactly as he normally does. They should get masako or one of the other what iffers on for 3 to make real what if quests
Xenoverse was such a let down because when you have a game like that you can literal do anything and chalk it up to time travel. Have Raditz become good, make Frieza beat Goku, ANYTHING, but nope it’s just “Villain takes steroids, now he stronger, go in and help the heroes.” Rinse and repeat with a couple exceptions until the end of the game.

I think it’s all perspective of cynical vs non-cynical. You never know. Maybe they would have released ‘more’ on top of this, as DLC. You can’t say “it’s sad when”, when you can’t say where the “game” would cut off, and where the “DLC” “should” begin. It’s all perspective. DLC is typically just “extra” on top of an already full game. I’d argue you must be rather cynical and pessimistic (not a good trait...) if you’re trying to argue that any game with DLC isn’t a “full game” until the DLC is released. I’d argue in most cases, DLC literally are “extras”.

Loved this game growing up on my ps2 and always loved the action figure like character models and the cutscenes and such follow the anime pretty good you can tell the creators put a lot of care into this game

The soundtrack in this game is unmatched and it’s a shame they couldn’t bring them to the remastered versions. These scenarios have such an interesting foundation, really wished they were longer instead of ending right after it happens

The soundtrack in this game is unmatched and it’s a shame they couldn’t bring them to the remastered versions. These scenarios have such an interesting foundation, really wished they were longer instead of ending right after it happens
