  • In 2013, the New Apostolic Church of Southern Africa presented an extraordinary performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, with the German violinist Rebekka Hartmann as the soloist. This concerto, one of the most beloved in the violin repertoire, is renowned for its lyrical beauty, technical demands, and seamless integration between the soloist and orchestra.
During her visit to Cape Town, Rebekka Hartmann also took the time to share her expertise with aspiring violinists through a series of workshops. These sessions were a unique opportunity for young musicians to learn from a world-class artist, focusing on both technical aspects and the emotional depth required to perform classical music. Hartmann’s workshops were highly appreciated, as they inspired and equipped the participants with new skills and insights into the art of violin playing.
