  • In August 2023 I walked the Cape Wrath Trail for the first time from Fort William to Cape Wrath. This May I found myself back in Scotland to attend my Uncle's 80th birthday in Inverness. So I thought I'd walk it for the second time in 9 months, this time walking from North to South and taking different routes than the last time.
So join me as I attempt to complete the North South route just before I turn 66..and it sure is a tougher route going South for sure!

Another excellent video Iain just shows how careful you have to be with your navigation.

Thanks Steve. Yeah, I have to admit I was getting a little anxious at times when you couldn't my take a bearing!

Hi Iain. Another brilliant leg, blessed with the weather again! 😀
Those cows in that farm near Oykel Bridge are famous, they appear on everyone’s videos! 🤣🤣🐄

Yeah, I'll need to look up the names. They were really curious. In a future episode I get up close and personal with a highland cow!

What a misty damp start to today. Yep good navigation was needed I'm sure. I agree that the Harvey map is not enough.
Easy to miss that turn off, not much of a cairn was it. ?
Go ahead admit it, I sign up. You says it as you sees it that's for sure but I get your humour. You're very entertaining Iain.
You passed the one sign for the cape wrath trail. Cool.
Best Cullen skunk at oykel bridge.
    Nice one Iain.

Thanks for following along Niall. As you will hear I refer to you and Lisa a lot on this walk. In fact the 2nd last episode I even say hello to Lisa swinging on her swing! Yeah that was a strange old day. The cows were beautiful and that night I met a man, James Baxter who was hiking the trail. This guy was amazing. He is even in the Guinness book of records as being the oldest man to solo the north pole unsupported !!!

@@FlyingScot wow amazing. I can definitely say that I'll never go to the north pole.
