there is one thing that actually makes it ok to have animation cancel, you can jump into a focus attack mid air if you can connect with a wound so you can use your attacks to position yourself for hard to reach wounds and then cancel them for focus strikes.
Chained wound breaking explains the massive dmg the bow pulled off, but I'm worried about wpns that have small focus strikes, like how hbg has a small blast, as opposed to bows massive pierce, or DBs beyblade sweeping across the back.
They said anything about the progression of the history in multiplayer? like if it's still like world(i didn't played rise) that to complete the mission for the whole group they needed to play the misson 4 times

I'm not sure abt this, but have people notice the core problem is that most of the weapons have flashy moves. If you do the story with friend's but it's under their SOS will the story progress count for you as well or do you have to do it for each member separate?
The part about them moving away from the heft of older MH games, and probably tuning the monsters differently, to compensate for the new, faster combat, is what has me concerned. I think that's exactly the wrong direction, they should be simplifying the combat. Rise really felt like a mindless hack and slay at times, especially in multiplayer. Where in older titles, you had to learn the monsters and actually think about what you're doing, in Rise you were usually fine just spamming attacks, because monsters didn't hit hard, and the hunter was way too agile.
Yeah, heard him say that and now I'm a little worried as heavy combat where you have to think more about positioning and what not is a huge part of why I like monster hunter.
i feel like in the future they are only going to stray further from the old style of gameplay, even without them making that statement just looking at the seikret is enough to show that. also i may be wrong but im pretty sure in the gameplay where they were fighting lalabarina (the spider thing) the seikret picked the hunter up while they where paralyzed which just eliminates the danger of getting hit by those type of attacks.
well in early and mid game maybe yes, in lategame you cant blindly spam atks in Rise or you get oneshotted from level 300 anomalies, it was really annoying that many people still often died there and ruined my hunts, then at the end I decided to just solo the hunts with bots since many people where so bad and the bots where way more useful lol
I feel the same way. There’s a charm with the older titles that’s lacking from rise completely. Even world still feels a bit off. In the older titles you had to learn a monster to the point you were charging an attack because you KNEW it was going to make 2 turns to the left to face you or that it was going to land in front of you. They rewarded LEARNING far more. You didn’t need great reaction time to dodge an attack just memorize the attacks and wind ups.
What livestream footage is shown with the Sns in the perfect guard/clash section 0:53 , I’d love to see some Sns gameplay I swere I can never find some

I wonder if we're ever going to get new weapons? I do like the new look and feel of the new weapons but is it really so much to ask? It's been over 10 years since we got Charge Blade and Insect Glaive.
I was introduced to MH with MH World. I've never played MH3 and it confuses me why some players are disappointed about no under water combat. It sounds more like a relieve than a miss and with all these new mechanics why is it even an issue
The underwater combat wasn't amazing but the idea of having to fight a monster on land and then chasing it back to the sea to end the fight on its turf was great. The monsters had totally different movesets and you could tell the odds was always in their favor. Also Lagiacrus is a fan favourite and people want it back. While it has a subspecies that is only on land, Lagia releases all its potential as a big sea lizard when underwater. There is no real need for underwater combat to come back, but it being back would bring a lot of new unique monster designs, as well as a drastic change in gameplay mid-hunt.
@@iomar90 Ok I understand the nostalgia of having fan favorites return and the immersion of chasing an amphibious like monster back to the waters. I was thinking that underwater combat would be like fighting Kushala Daora. A kool monster but avoid the hunt because you don't want to deal with its mechanics
Surprisingly yes granted it dipped into 40s here and there during the TGS Scarlet Forest footage. But they managed to get it *mostly* stable 60fps. So props to them.
underwater combat seems _incredibly_ niche. i respect that the vocal fans enjoyed it but i really hope thats not something they do end up adding in a future title.
it's more about giving leviathans their own environment and making us brave a space we're not suited to but the monsters are. Underwater should be a scary and difficult experience, especially with how many quality of life changes there has been to make the game easier.
The vocal minority is going to bait the developers into thinking most MH players care about or want underwater combat, which they absolutely don’t. It’s a niche system that only some people liked.
One of the very reason I main lance is that I can always attack. Now that most of the weapon will be able to attack more consistently, lance really getting the short end of the stick.
Lance can literally counter block whenever while everyone else has to perfect block an attack while still suffering from more pushback than Lance. Plus Lance can attack and block at the same time, it's not the same, stop crying.
i would love lagiacrus back but pls no underwater combat. There's a time tradeoff for development which makes me feel that developing underwater combat until it is good would detract too much from other things they could be doing like making new fights/developing new areas, etc.
I don’t want under water combat. It was fine in Tri but it’s not that interesting imo. I hope they don’t conflate interviewers curiosity about underwater combat with demand for it.
@@drypotato6990 I'd say it depends on pick of weapon I could see SNS players hating underwater because they're weapon got NEUTERED underwater. I was quite and still am quite indifferent to it as a Greatsword and lance player. Had it's moments even if it felt like Olympic swimmer was necessary to slot in for the faster movement speed underwater.
I really hope they don't bring back underwater combat. I think it makes much more sense to flesh out land combat, monsters, and ecology, than spending vast amounts of resources on an entire system where you essentially would fight 2-3 monsters... I get people have nostalgia for Lagiacrus but honestly it wouldn't be as satisfactory as people imagine and lose it's charm quickly
No i replayed Tri recently and underwater combat was just as janky as everything else and in a new gen game any problem it had could be fixed. The unique interactions with leviathans underwater was awesome especially Gobul and the darkness of the depths is creepy. What i would want: Argosy defence missions where you go out to sea and then a storm hits which slows you down and a monster attacks you and you have to defend the ship, and you can stay on the ship, deploy a raft, and fight the monster underwater, then the argosy harvests the parts to sell. Tri had something similar with Jhen Mohran it was really cool.
If they reintroduce underwater combat into a modern MH game do you really think they would make it play like ass? They are perfectly capable of making it good, especially with years of game design/development under their belt, in addition to having a game they can point to and say 'such and such sucked here so we should do it differently.'
@@voltaicburst4279 It would definitely need a huge improvement if they were to re-implement it into a Monster Hunter game. But it was still crap. And the idea sounds good. but they really would need to knock the mechanics out of the park.
@@B0n3sj0n3s They would need to that's true but i think they could. it's very hit or miss though but if it's hits it will be HUGE for variety. A good variety of lunges and "dashes"? would be essential. and with the focus mode, you could now dash say from below the monster to above, then smoothly focus your attacks on them, it wouldn't be as janky as tri no way.
Underwater combat is overrated and it's so sad they feel kind of pressured now to spend resources on that nonsense instead of inventing new additions to the games.
@@zacharyhansen8250 It's overrated because it sucked. I don't know why they want something that wasn't even fun and i don't see the appeal of spending a lot of resources on trying to make it fun while there are much more ideas worth of putting resources into and that affect overall gameplay instead of just a niche thing you can do in a restriced environment and at a certain moment. They have more experience but still think it's too hard to implement.
The concept is really cool. People want a second attempt because even though it was unfinished it was really cool. Not very hard to understand actually.
Nobody actually wants Underwater combat. It's just nostalgia. There was nothing fun about fighting underwater & we all know there was some relief when a monster decided to get back on land.

It would trigger by doing a perfect guard? Wouldn't be annoying if you're using a CB and doing guard points then the power struggle suddenly occurs?
Does anyone know when the demo’s out?
Still unconfirmed however my personal guess in sometime in December during the game awards
I really need qurupecko making a return as a menace that calls monsters I absolutely am not thinking about
Hi-Def Congalala lookin' slick
The performance worries me so much. I hope they listen and fix it somehow
awsome, thanks to you for doing al this research for us... i´m already hyped for your new weapon tutos for MHWILDS
Thanks as always for these videos, you always provided detailed videos without clickbait which I appreciate!
😮 return of the pink chicken is the bedt news so far!
7:20 Nothing to see here Nintendo... move along.
Nintendo already on their way to patent “monster outbreak” so they can sue capcom too lol
💀
wound destruction bonus seems similar to virus mechanic from mh rise
Bow looking amazing, cant wait
@@ninjaslash52_98 the series cannot be held back by nostalgia, it has to evolve, wait for the game to come out and then judge it fairly
i heard the game ran at 60fps on ps5 at TGS, any information on that?
Thanks for the info.
What livestream footage is shown with the Sns in the perfect guard/clash section 0:53 , I’d love to see some Sns gameplay I swere I can never find some
does anyone know how many monsters can be on the map at one time?
loving the Juice. keep it flowing!
This is shaping up to be a good one boys.
This needs a demo stat
What they shown you know they've shown only 4% ans the rest is gonna be the biggest when it comes out. Now I'm curious what the ultimate version gonna be like?
They’re hearing our underwater combat pleads!!!
All 3 of you
I wonder if we're ever going to get new weapons? I do like the new look and feel of the new weapons but is it really so much to ask? It's been over 10 years since we got Charge Blade and Insect Glaive.
Game is already good..what more for its future dlc
As always, great work guys
Oh no did i heard a mechanic inspired from Nintendo's Pokemon? I smell some Lawsuit brewing in the future XD
Will Monster hunter wild be 60fps on ps5?
Yes
No, you will be disappointed.
Surprisingly yes granted it dipped into 40s here and there during the TGS Scarlet Forest footage. But they managed to get it *mostly* stable 60fps. So props to them.
@@itsyaboiguzma that's nice, what is the resolution?

ok i didnt folow the chanel for quite a while, last time it was for iceborn release; what happend to Arekkz itself?
he left the channel, you can find the vid on this channel where he talks about it
underwater combat seems _incredibly_ niche. i respect that the vocal fans enjoyed it but i really hope thats not something they do end up adding in a future title.
it's more about giving leviathans their own environment and making us brave a space we're not suited to but the monsters are. Underwater should be a scary and difficult experience, especially with how many quality of life changes there has been to make the game easier.
The vocal minority is going to bait the developers into thinking most MH players care about or want underwater combat, which they absolutely don’t. It’s a niche system that only some people liked.
@@KoyoteVS speak for yourself. instead giving it another chance with more polished and faster gameplay, you just stick with your ptsd. pathetic
@@KoyoteVS Bro it was implemented on the nintendo wii in 2009… you don’t think any problem it had couldn’t be fixed?
I can't wait for Capcom to take my money, my spirit, and maybe some fps talk. A small worry of mine. 😕😕😕
LORD KUTKU BLESSED US ALL.
Lance is busted it's ok
Especially if clutch claw returns
7:10 Uh oh! I hope they made sure Nintendo didn't have a patent on that!
Let's hope, Nintendo doesn't patent the mass outbreak system from Legends Arceus then 💀
What platform has most gameplay footage been on?
ps5
Ps5 specifically ps5 devkits which is a slightly enhanced base model spec wise
@@itsyaboiguzma where they said that it was running on a devkit ps5?
It's Lagiacrover
i would love lagiacrus back but pls no underwater combat. There's a time tradeoff for development which makes me feel that developing underwater combat until it is good would detract too much from other things they could be doing like making new fights/developing new areas, etc.
This is the true monster hunter world sequel.
What if it’s people at Sony who are the scalpers trying to get the money back from making the ps5 pro?
These devs are nuts making it 30fps, 1080p, 2025 next gen game lol straight robbery
I don’t want under water combat. It was fine in Tri but it’s not that interesting imo. I hope they don’t conflate interviewers curiosity about underwater combat with demand for it.
I'll keep saying it, underwater combat is rarely done well and is almost never fun. That's just me though.
Yeah but muh lagiacrus
Nope
Dude's never played skyward sword
yeah I think a lot of the love for it is just nostalgia tbh
@@bri1085 Played it on wii and the HD remake. Point still stands. Everyone has their opinion and water combat isn't my thing.

I honestly could care less about underwater combat. I want a new weapon type more then anything else

No I do not want underwater combat
they could totally add a water combat dlc
I really do not get the love for underwater combat. It makes me angry everytime i hear about it. Hopefully it never comes back.
Why are people acting like underwater combat was good? Is there a collective amnesia as to how crap it was? Nostalgia really be blinding some of yall.
It's not that it's overrated, it's that they want the devs to take another crack at it now that they have more experience.
Under water combat sucked.
@@kaen4299 to make it better
The concept is really cool. People want a second attempt because even though it was unfinished it was really cool. Not very hard to understand actually.
@@PhaythGaming It's not worth the effort, that's also not hard to understand.
Everyone wants underwater combat until they experience underwater combat.
Name me one game with good 3rd person underwater combat.
Nobody actually wants Underwater combat. It's just nostalgia. There was nothing fun about fighting underwater & we all know there was some relief when a monster decided to get back on land.
I replayed Tri recently and it was fun, in a new gen game it could be awesome. i love fighting Gobul and Lagiacrus, Caedus was very slow.
