  • "Oh my God, what's this....this is SO good" : these words were spoken by Elton John when he heard "My sweet Lord" for the first time in a taxi. The year was 1971 and George Harrison's song was about to conquer the world. Written in 1970, the song was released early 1971 and reached the top of the charts worldwide. Inspired by The Edwin Hawkins Singers' version of "Oh Happy Day" (an old English hymn by the way) - as declared by Harrison himself - the composition soon became a "pop classic" and numerous are the artists that have covered it.
    Here, in our "summer of 60s and 70s hits remembered" we bring you Horst Jankowski's interpretation - an orchestral arrangement with nice vocal support from the Jankowski Singers.
    From the 1972 album "In Flight" here's "Mister Black Forest" with that superhit from the early seventies. Enjoy.
