Thank you all for your comments. Indeed, this is one of the greatest versions, like i said. At one point the song starts sounding like electronic music .. its so weird and cool. He's the King without a crown.
"He's brilliant; I love him. But then you see some guy like Buckethead… Buckethead is probably twice as good a guitar player as me and Slash combined, and can stand having fried chicken rubbed up against his face all night for a couple of hours." Dave Mustaine
i think you should be aware that you are wrong,, the immortals wrote the mortal kombat theme, its called techno syndrome and buckethead is not a part of the immortals.....
the only thing i found on mortal kombat ns this in that whole reference is this ... ruclips.net/video/3ZyAbcrXLlg/видео.html ....... which doesn't actually have anything to do with the orginal MK theme or the people that produced it.
I would love to see buckethead play all acoustic set live Not necessarily acoustic, but songs from electric tears ,colma, the song 'faded' from a pikes album? ,with all the fixings of spacebeint concerto ,my place lost in outta space you people are terrible waste
A digital delay. I've tried it with an analog delay and it doesn't sound quite right --- you definitely need the clean repeats that a digital delay gives. Buckethead (like many others) probably uses a Boss DD7 (or 3/5/6/9)
I, Creator well, i think this song is around 300ms delay. in other words, it should repeat every 1/3 of a second. you can adjust the feedback level and volume to taste. then when playing, you have to experiment to get the right groove, just start playing slow quarter notess and slowly increase until it sounds like it's repeating back in an even way like in this vid. then start playing other notes.
The mortal kombat riff at :55 in the middle of Big Sur moon is legendary
I was going nuts trying to think of what it was, thanks
still loving this song til then
Top gear intro snes
I found the sweet spot on my delay yesterday and remembered I have to learn this. I love playing the mortal combat part! 😂
😂
Kmac brought me here. Lol

+Akhil Gusain
Same
Try Final Wars
Keep looking, big B has songs for everyone... but literally
Me too
he is the best at on stage improvisation. you can hear parts are different on the original, and i prefer the live versions to the original.
listen to van halen eruption live
Amazing that most of this is up-picking!!!!
yay!
He's not picking very fast, it's 8th notes. The delay is doing most of the work.
Most? I believe its all up picking.
All up picking bruh
Matthew D be fair... and 8th notes yeah. Fast 1/8th notes......But if this man decided to pick fast he'd create a black hole.
Thank you all for your comments. Indeed, this is one of the greatest versions, like i said. At one point the song starts sounding like electronic music .. its so weird and cool. He's the King without a crown.
Are you kidding how is that bucket not a crown?
Azsry Exactly! If I was a king I would rather wear a bucket. Who need super expensive crowns anyways, I would rather look demented
If you guys haven't heard shadowbeatz remix of Big Sur Moon you should. It sounds very much alike.
It is the best version of that piece by far...
Sorry, my fault^^ You're so right! :)

HE HAS A BUCKET ON HIS HEAD!
Fucking magical moment.
Just realized the dude has a foot for a hand
Started learning this yesterday and im almost done but what effects I need to get it sounding the same???
You need a delay like a pedal or something, usually thats what gives it that rapid fire sound
probably a delay pedal
A digital delay. I've tried it with an analog delay and it doesn't sound quite right --- you definitely need the clean repeats that a digital delay gives. Buckethead (like many others) probably uses a Boss DD7 (or 3/5/6/9)
Andrew Suzuki I have a dd7 can u tell me the settings?

Me. reuerda a la guitarra de la banda "Soda Stereo ". Gustavo serati.

Rajiv Injety don't know the exact model but the most accurate one is the ibanez GA5TCE Thinline, it's only 240 usd and sounds awesome!!
Gibson Chet Atkins signature

His hands are *huge*. The look like Steve Howe's.

He got those long ass fingers,so he can hit like 3 frets at the same time Haha

Delay pedal right?
Retro Overload exactly.
Yes.

Yes.
I've made a cover, let me know what you think about it
It's Trance 🎵 hahahaha
Nice, but almost the same as TIME 2 from Ewan Dobson
TIME 2 by Ewan Dobson was released about 12 years after the original Big Sur Moon recording. Blame Dobson, if you want to blame someone.
