He is actually from my hometown. A few of the guys I play games with went to school with him. It is very cool to see how small yet large the board game community is.
I'm happy to see it's Gloomhaven without the cards because that's why I sold it. It was more like a puzzle of choosing the order to play them instead of just enjoying the game. Was cool for a couple of scenarios then, IMO, it gets old very fast. Yes, I admit it, I prefer dice.
Huh,… it seems you’ll play a game with anyone who drops by, schedule permitting… and here I thought I was special!!! Seriously, that’s one of the great things about you guys. FYI, there is a 75% chance I’ll be back in your area in the fall, after the holidays but before Thanksgiving.
Hmm, played three games here but was not impressed. My goto scifi game is still Battlestations. More RPG, space combat, variety of missions from combat to science, diplomacy and mysteries. This has done nothing to change my mind. Have you ever tried, seen, unboxed Battlestations 2.0?
@BoardGameCo sorry to say that this game is always the same and is becoming boring. I got midway to Act 1 a combination of different stuff (techs, uprates, etc) that let me win all the time without any chance to loose. This combination of rules even deletes the hardest difficulty levels. I just get no damage anymore. I don't know if it only was the combinations of pilot and ship i choosed and the fact that i play true solo or if it will be like this in any playercount and in every pilot + ship combination. I sold my copy after Act one and luckyly got more back than i payed. Good luck and have fun with your copy. cheers
@@HospisNineveh I played on highest difficulty but i couldn't loose anymore. I don't want to spoil so i can't tell you how but for me it was the real gamebraker and the knowledge about it forced me to quit playing it. Plus some other things (all highly spoilery) that forced me to sell my copy. cheers
As a knife manufacturer and a board game fan I love how you feature for a moment the knife you use for the unboxing. Two of my favorite things! :)
I bought it and play through whole campaign. Very very good game! Love it
Solid!
Great video. My copy + ships arrives tomorrow.
The creator, Brendan, lives in my town here in BC, Canada. It's nice to see he is doing so well in the gaming industry designing such cool games. :)

@@terrafirma1996 That's really cool. 🙂Agreed, it's a wonderful niche community. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
The campaign does a good job of teaching the rules you need as you go along, including with QR codes to How to Play videos.
I missed this on Kickstarter but after seeing how the game looks and reading first reviews I had to get it... so beautiful.
How is it now? Do you still play it? This is still very enjoyable?

Ty for the video!
Hey man, great video!!
The coaster is from Cardboard Alchemy (I have it, too), they published both Flamecraft and Mission Catastrophe ;)
I love your shirt. Where did you get it

When you said grab a sharpie I was thinking pannle lining..damn you Bandai
Hey I just ordered this from their website.
I hope I love it.
So how was it? I’m looking to buy the game but can’t make up my mind.
Honestly I bought the game and haven’t played it yet.
@@siriactuallysara well, that’s been a minute😄

I love the idea of Gloomhaven in space, but if it doesn't have the ability cards of Gloomhaven, that's a big loss.
I would love to play a Mass Effect board game... this looks cool though:)
I feel like Xia: Legends of a Drift System comes close. I think I.S.S. Vanguard will be even closer.
Mass Effect is great, I went back into it when the HD remake came out.
Nice! It's a great one for sure.

Didnt want to raise the difficulty? I dislike easy games too

You said poignant correctly. Don’t pronounce the g. 😊
