Nice video, Jane. Had to smile at your excitement as that route went all the way to Layton cemetery before I was born....I like the new trams but I remember the double deckers going down Whitegate Drive to the Royal Oak where I had swimming lessons at the Lido in the 1950s.
Hi Jane thank you for another great video as always omg what a wonderful surprise riding that tram going to and from North Station is going to be amazing save walking or getting a cab have a lovely day
Thank you for the video Jane, and a preview of what’s it like going along the new track. it nice to see the new terminal and trams going up and down on the new tracks
Thankyou Jane lucky you getting an exclusive first ride on the new tramway I can't wait for it to be open to the public we will get much use out of it as we stay behind funny girls on banks st so it's going to be very handy especially on rainy days
That was a wonderful surprise for us Jane! Thanks to VFC we have had a taste of what we can look forward to. I am so glad to see that there is a waiting stand and seats at the North Station. I am amazed that all this preparation for tram transport has been delivered and proven right in the middle of transormation, construction and much of it in winter months. Early plans showed parked cars all aound the tracks. I hope there will be [aesthetically pleasing] barriers between cars and intending passengers. We shall see! Thanks again Jane!
Thanks jane, looks a lovely terminus, can you still catch them at the top of red brick road, the tram station there ? I want to go through the lights on the boat one !!
Wow what a scoop Jane! I know I have said this before but that completed tram station just makes me think it will be carrying passengers before 2023. Would seem odd to have all that testing. The equipment all functioning and then leave it abandoned for nearly 6 months to the elements. Does not make sense. I wish I could find a bookie to place a bet :-) Many thanks. Brilliant.
@@craigpartytime-mcfc and progress painfully slow. How long must that bloody crane stay there? The underpass remains untouched. Yet the terminus, overhead lines, platforms and electronic signage have been there over a year, Madness.
hi Jane will all trams have to pull into station when open are there going to be straight runs star gate/ Fleetwood as now best wishes from Wales martin.
It seems to be coming along. Know took a long time to do, yes Covid caused issues. Hopefully will be done by May next year. Presume one will be going down to South Pier?
I would imagine there'll be some kind of celebration event - there is for most new things in Blackpool. It's quite a way off yet though - not until 2022.

I split my chin open at the Lido in the 1970s - and carried on swimming with blood pouring out of it!

I want to go through the lights on the boat one !!
You can catch the tram at Red Bank Road - Illuminations Tours start from the Pleasure Beach though.
Oh didnt know that thanks for the heads up x
Great video Jane thank you

Thanks Jane can't wait till 2023 till you can go up tablet rd
Can’t wait!
Oh my goodness how lucky were you? Great video but serious amount of oil required to stop the squeaking.
That the wheel flange rubbing agent the side of the track , nothing to worry about.
Looks great
I can’t wait to get on the new track
Oh Jane, Colin (Seaside) will be jealous !!!!!
So I assume that Nth Blackpool tram goes to Fleetwood and loop back again, or to Starr Gate?
Who knows - yet!
typical looks like the hotel holding the job up again

Don't know yet Martin.

The idea is that the extension connects the seafront tramway and you can go anywhere
Didn't they have problems with the tenants on the site, refusing to move, in order to complete the track layout?
When in 2023 Jane? That's 6 or 18 months Lol 🤣 good vLog I'll be in Blackpool 15th 👍
You do make me laugh. 🤣
That's the idea!
How will they run Jane if coming from pleasure beach to Fleetwood will they go up Talbot road then on to Fleetwood and same opposite way
I don't know yet whether they will all go up Talbot Road and back, I'm sure that will all come out in the wash.
Good to see tramlines in Talbot Road again. Sad the Tivoli's gone.
Can the normal cars be run here, or just these alien caterpillars?
I don't think there's any difference between the lines the old and new trams run on so I don't see why not?
Do you know if they will have a select few to go on the first journey or whether it's a free for all after irs officially open?
I would imagine there'll be some kind of celebration event - there is for most new things in Blackpool. It's quite a way off yet though - not until 2022.
Who needs a rocket to the moon when u have this?
hi, watching your video and listening to MAD PARADE, LOVE THEM TRAMS, .......marius(punk rules).
How is this still not open?
Opening Easter 2024

I ate 😊
Hi Jayne just wondering if you have been down to the Chris higgits £1 burger 🍔 shop for your parcel 🎁👍
Yes I have - this afternoon - thank you ever so much! Video coming tomorrow :-)
Your welcome 👍
Good video, shame that by the time this link opens it will be 4 years late.
That flange squeal is awful. I hope that's just the tracks bedding in and not something we have to put up with all the time.
