Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway: North Station to North Pier on Tuesday 11th June 2024 - one day to go

Tuesday 11th June 2024 and just one day to the grand opening of the extension from North Pier to Blackpool North Railway Station tram plaza.
Trams out on the day were:
Service T1: 002 003 006 007 008 010 013 014 015
Talbot Road testing: 016AD 017
Additional "No Entry" bollards were being affixed to the roadway at the entrance to the tram plaza and it is hoped that more will be in place at the west end of Talbot Road.
The yellow box junction at Promenade/Talbot Square remains faded and was already backing up with traffic on a quiet day!

Interesting video. Email Blackpool Transport about the faded junction markings and they may get their posteriors into gear. Holiday Inn unfinished car park can only make one think that there is a shortage of tarmac in the North West.

I cannot believe that the car park has been left like a World War 2 bomb site. They have had the date for weeks and only taken 12 years to get such a short section running!

@@KieranBilby-pu7jw yes it is being officially opened tomorrow with full service starting on Sunday 16th

Its opening tomorrow but you need a special ticket for it. If you don't have one, you have to ride it at 16th June.
