I've had better a Old Fashioned, at a friend's - who is a past grand master of the art. I've also had much, much worse, at restaurant and hotel bars. To be able to come home and pour a wonderful Old Fashioned with no fuss or muss, is truly a marvel of the ages. 3.6 (90%) on my 1-4 scale.
I was given a bottle as a gift. I like it... not overly sweet... or at all... it has spice. I also don't like a sweet drink, so this is right up my alley. I drink over the rocks with a splash of soda water to give some bubbles. Not the worst... and a few drinks in... ain't bad at all. But, not sweet. (so add a dash of sweet...)
The 750ml go for about $30. So I usually buy 2-4 of the 3.75ml that go for $10 each same amount less money. I keep them stock for those poker nights where there’s not really important ppl at the table but still want a good drink 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry to sound a bit annoyed but it doesn’t seem anyone even talks about whether the thing even tastes like a real old fashioned since the ingredients don’t even list sugar or simple syrup. Does it taste like a mixed drink bs vs a real old fashioned (aka bourbon, simple syrup, aromatic bitters at a minimum)? I say minimum because a twist of orange or even splash of orange bitters does wonders. I couldn’t care less about the cherry.
It does taste like an Old Fashioned however I wouldn't say it tastes like a good old fashioned. It has some kick to it and the balance of flavors are off. It's not bad for the price though
@@virginiaisforgrubbers Ok cool. Thanks. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy a bootle of Old Fashioned if it didn’t even have the ingredients of an old fashioned. They have 2 of 4. They’re missing the aromatic bitters element and the simple syrup which is what makes an Old Fashioned imo
@@justincase7524 It has bitters in it. I think it's a little light on whatever they're adding to sweeten it. It mostly taste like straight bulleit rye + orange bitters + a tinge of sweetness. Honestly, given how easy it is to make an old fashioned, I'd just buy your favorite bourbon, bitters, and sugar cube.
Agree with other commenters, I’m traveling and grocery store was out of bitters, so I picked up a bottle. It states bourbon, whiskey, and orange bitters. Honestly that’s all I get. Zero sweetness. It’s not horrible, but its not great either. Out of 10- I’d put it at 4.5. I added a touch of my own simple, and it took it to a 6. 😊
Got a bottle of this for my birthday. It’s nice! One good glass of this stuff gets me pretty buzzed

Found it at Costco $18 each if you buy 2.
That’s a steal

You guys are hilarious! Definately grabbing a bottle this weekend!
Appreciate it, cheers my man!

That’s a solid hack and good to know! Ty
Not bad but I’d rather go with a neat Bulleit. I got a cough syrup type flavor at first sip. The ice mellows it out.
I paid $18 for 2 bottles at Costco. Not sure if that was a Christmas deal or not. 😊
That’s a great deal
Did you guys do a taste test on the Manhattan?
We have not, yet
30$?? It’s 15$ at my local Total Wine and More
