    Totally get it 😂!!
I’ve just moved back to Japan from Seattle ten days ago( I lived in Seattle for two years with my husband and our kids),and now what I really miss in the US is DRYER!!!!!
You guys have talked about that Japanese were kind of abscessed with weather forecast, the one of the reasons is commuting style like you said. But another big reason is because many of Japanese hung laundry outside!!
One of the big reasons why I loved dryer in the US was because I didn’t have to worry about weather😂!!

Speaking of dish washers, yes I agree that they should become more popular in Japan. You save time and it’s actually said that they use less water than washing by hand. Speaking of dryers, they are convenient but not ecological.

The reason a lot of Japanese don't want to use dryers is because they damage clothes. But most washing machines sold today are with dryers, I believe.
And the Japanese tableware is not for dishwashers because many are too deep or/ and lacquered.
The difference in value and lifestyle.
Recently (-20 years) built apartments, マンション, commonly have a space for a dishwasher under the sink.

As for stay at home wives in Japan, most of them take care of small kids alone after giving birth doing solo parenting and no choice to work.(We have length of service-based salary system, so husbands tend to only work and wives stay at home doing solo parenting and all the house chores.)
Many of wives are gonna work once their kids grow older like elementary students and continue to do solo parenting and house chores like multi players.
They stay at home? but most of them lack personal time and sleep deprived (The ratio of working women in Japan are higher than US. The number of working moms may be lower due to the challenges of solo parenting and chores)
Therefore, it would be beneficial for them to have more convenient household appliances.

Would you say dryers are more common in the USA or Japan?

    • @Ryosuke

@@theaustinandarthurshow The coin loundry is much more common in the US than Japan, because many people do not even own a washing machine in the US.
