Is the g3 motor compatible with the xr8 plus g1 esc ?
Definitely cool but I don't think I would ever put an ESC that isn't waterproof in one of my vehicles. Probably fine for racing but at least for me not for bashing.
I have that Hobbywing XR8 PRO G3 esc and the T8 2000kv motor in my Hobao Hyper VSE buggy

I put a xr8plus with 1900kv g2 motor in my eb48.4 back 2 years ago and still love that system. It's got o be the fastest buggy I've owned. And I don't even have the timing or boost set up to make it stupid fast. I can't see the new system being much faster, may e lighter weight is all I ca see them doing to make it better in my opinion. But then again I'm not a professional driver.

@@ExocagedRC o the eb48.4 i got 2 years ago or so was used an abused when I got it. 😂 ya your eb48.2 is realy old. But a great rig. I built a sct410.3 into a eb48sl an have the same body also white on it. I run the older xr8sct esc with 3660 3600kv motor on 2 an 3s and its so fast on track. But the xr8plus an 1900kv g2 in my 48.4 is like a rocket ship on 4s an 6s. Everyone says it's the fastest buggy they seen also. And it's got a smaller 15t or 16t pinion on it. Hobbywing really cam a long way in racing systems. An now bashing systems. I don't run anything but unless it's for a crawler, then I run the mamba x. But even those hobbywing has nailed it with the 2n1. I have yet to try 1 and run all holmes hobbies stuff in my crawlers. But next system will be a 2300kv 2 in 1.
im just trying to figure out the difference between the 4268 and the 4274. i take it the 4274 is bigger (longer) but it also only seems to come in a 2250kv so that sounds pretty fast. would the 4268 in the same kv rating as a 4274 (2250) pull less amps from the esc keeping things running cooler or would the esc and battery run cooler but the motor would run hotter?

Good day RC friends, does anyone know why I use 3s with this hobbywing 2200kv combo and an XR8PRO ESC Are the batteries lasting 3 minutes? My batteries are 8000mah 80c 3s but they last 3 minutes or less. Is the ESC being protected from something? The motor says in the manual that it is 2 to 6s. and the ESC from 2 to 4s But with 3s batteries I have not been able to make the batteries last more than 3 minutes. if someone could help me

Just got a couple hw combos myself. Picked up a new Quicrun 10BL120/3700kv for my Slash 4x4. Then grabbed a new xr10/3300 combo I was going to put into my Duratrax DX450 dirt bike but the esc is a bit to big so I'll toss that combo in my Bomber.

You can not get a better ESC for 8th scale racing PERIOD!!specially for $150. This ESC just won E NATS yesterday with Maifiled and Tessman in second.
You can see how well the Tekno handles over other buggys, is this new Hobbywing system a better bet than the Max 8 4278sd 2250kv motor & Max 8 G2 esc combo ?
I don't know about that that typhon looks like it does pretty bad ass, I would like to see the tekno and the typhon heads up or back to back rips with same tires
Yes it's a better system then the max8 g2 system. The race esc has the ability to run higher timing and even a boost setting to boost power by 25% maken them very fast an controllable. And also the system is smaller an lighter weight. But there not water proof for wet grass bashing or anything wet will destroy the race system. There's a reason for both systems.
@@mattcalder3602I own both the typhon an tekno eb48.4, and the typhon is easier to drive for none professional drivers like myself. But the tekno eb48.4 with steady hands an practice drives much faster an more precise steering and handling hands down. There's a reason tekno is king in racing an typhon is a basher. The weight and width of the typon makes it easy to drive, the tekno is lighter and narrower for precise driven.
It's a better system and also 230 grams lighter for the entire system

These Hobbywing systems are slow unless you use boost and turbo, then they will melt your battery terminals. Hobbywing sucks, I feel sorry for anybody who buys this crap.
Dude I run a LOT of Hobbywing stuff. I don’t have the issues you describe and neither does everyone else that races and bashes with me.
