2020 + Silverado / Sierra LED reverse light and license plate light install

- To cure the dreadful look of the halogens GM decided to put on the rear end of this truck I did a quick easy LED swap! Here is a list of what I used in this video to make it happen:
1. A torx bit T-15 for the screws that hold in the tail lights
2. 921 LED reverse lights 6000k (to match existing rear facing lights)

3. 194 LED license plate lights 6000k (to match existing rear facing lights)

The 6000k lights match the rear facing reverse light on the third brake light and the rear facing lights on the mirrors. This install is rated "EASY" and should take about 20-30min.
Just did the same on my 2020 RST, I used bulbs from LASFIT. Took me about 15 minutes total to swap out all 4 bulbs.
I've had the Silverado about 3 weeks and have been looking to add more enhancing up grades and after watching the upgrades with LED's I ordered the bulbs....got them the next day and had them installed in 20 minutes....What a huge difference....Sea Ya!!

My sierra only has one connection on the back of the tail light assembly, I didn't see an jndividual spot for the reverse light. Am I just stupid ?
So I ordered the same bulbs and they are super bright however it was rather difficult to get the license plate lamps changed out not much room for hands between the tow hitch and the bumper
I had the same problem it was easy to install just had no room at all 😂

Did you put a bulb in the very bottom of the rear lights
The stock bulbs are incandescent, not halogen. Nice results though, thanks for sharing
FYI - the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denalis only have one harness going into them. Hence, can't change bulbs. Betting internal bulbs are now all LED. Freaked me out when I got the light off.

Well it is completely sealed. So, strike that. Sadly, the 2021 owners manual I have says it still has bulbs. :(

I installed the license bulbs in led and now my stock reverse dont work. Are they linked?? Anyone....do I need to install the reverse in tandem with the license LEDs??

I got 921 lasfit break lights, they wont fit on my 2020 chevy silverado custom, wonder why lol looked online and it says they fit but they dont lol

Heads up for 2020 Sierra AT4 owners . I took my tail light out and its a composite with only a plug in . No bulbs were visible .

No sir! I only get glare when it rains and the camera lens has water on it. But I had that problem before too!

How were you able to test lights from key fob? Is that just something on the higher-end models?
If you have your alarm on, all the lights on your truck will come on when you unlock the vehicle

You should try swapping front turn signals with LED's!! If you do I would definitely buy one with fans for cooling and with a built in resistor but I haven't found a good bulb yet. You should try it!!

How do you solve that?
I have a 2020 Sierra and I had to install a 50W 6ohm resistor to stop the hyperflash. However, I used GTR 1,200 lumen bulbs from headlight revolution.
1 resistor per tail light. Super easy install

Nvm it worked out, juss had to widen the metal thjngs inside the plug in just a little little bit and it plugged in good after that.

It cost me less than $15 for both sets of lights you did on rock auto. Sad gm couldn’t of at least specced leds all around on the high country

It was already LED (or appears to be) and the reverse lights were not. With this upgrade they will all match
