This might sound crazy, but use tire gel on the bed cover. It’ll make it look new again. I use Meguiars tire gel on any black trim and works great. Last for a long time
Yep!👍🏼 Been using it for years on everything and meguiars is by far the best Will last months even through washes and rain And if you have a primer hit rod like me it will actually make the primer look like a matte black plaint 😁🤭 Just takes a long time to wipe the entire car but definitely worth it
Great mods! That truck sounds awesome too!! The only things I would suggest is a CLOSED cold air box, and a oil catch can, to keep the truck from recycling oil through the intake. Thanks for the video.
Oil catch can is definitely coming. The K&N box goes all the way up to the hood and has a gasket that closes off the hot air. It’s my third one like this and been extremely happy with them. Thanks for watching the video and the feedback.
I went with the blackout badge thing, and then I just De-badged everything and added a Pinstripe. What a difference. I hate Badges, especially where Chevy puts them high up on the Front Fender.
@@tommysgreatoutdoors appreciate the feedback I’m not normally a truck guy but I always wanted one and this time I think I’m going to do it!! I’ve been driving my brain crazy watching videos on ford and Chevy trying to decide which one I want I’m leaning more towards the Chevy just based off the style of the 2021 Silverado
@@bigmike3007 both Chevy and Ford make a good truck. Personally I’ve had really good luck with Chevy. I also prefer a V8 over an eco boost, but that’s just me. Check out some of my other videos. I recently lifted the truck and added tow mirrors.
Air intake says it's for Chevy's up to 2020. You said yours was a 2021 like mine. Obviously it fits yours but I'm skeptical that there was a communication error.
You need a hitch or bump step protector in the hitch. Trust me, it's well worth it. The feds mandate any frame damage on any vehicle a total loss. I lost a perfectly good Silverado to that just because some idiot hit me from behind. Total loss on the truck. Don't risk it. Get something in that hitch to cover you from a minor rear-end accidents. With the costs of trucks, these days. BnW makes a hitch or weather tech bump stop. Cheap compared to a 50k and up replacement hassle.
Yeah sometimes I give a little too much info, it’s good for those that need it, and boring for everyone else. fortunately there’s a fast forward button…lol
Yes. As I said in the video, there are some of these items that will be specific to the current gen GM truck, but other items that are universal to many different trucks (or just a different part number for the same item for other trucks) Borla makes exhausts for just about everyone. K&N makes intakes for all kinds of stuff. The exhaust tips are for a Dodge but fit a Chevy. The bullet antenna fits any vehicle with a radio, etc...
A cold air intake? You mean a hot air intake? Those serve absolutely no purpose but the waste money I’m not gonna put one on my truck. You’re just getting a placebo effect. Good job, voiding your warranty.
Actually, according to federal law, they would have to prove that a cold air intake actually did something to damage the vehicle so it’s really a moot point that you’re trying to make. I would agree though that the particular open box intake isn’t the most efficient design because it’s obviously going to suck in hot air from the engine compartment.
Cold air intake alone does very little. But when you combine it with an exhaust system that reduces back pressure such as the borla atak, that’s when you see the benefits

@@bradbucklin2692 Now that the weather is getting warmer, I think I will try this.
Saw this comment and I’m tempted, but it says on the back of the bottle not to use on plastic panels 😓
Nice video! Like how you went through all your upgrades and gave information.
You definitely know what your doing with your truck sir 👌🏽🩸

Very nice video
Great well thought out vid!
Really solid video! I’m about to purchase me a 2021 Chevy Silverado. Is there any good phone mounts for iPhone you’d recommend?
I am hearing good things about bullet point mounts, but have not tried them myself yet. Wil probably get one at some point.

Whats infamous about the muffler valve?
The flapper valve will restrict exhaust flow to try and keep the truck quiet.
@@tommysgreatoutdoors ahh ok. I’m getting a weird noise coming from that area on my ‘24 diesel ZR2
Really like the video, however I wish there were links to the products.
All of the links are in the description. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

@terry4183 What the heck are you talking about when you say "Get something in that hitch"? A rag? Fill it with great stuff foam? An apple?

You're welcome!
Drives me crazy they don’t put the wheel well shields in😡
Yep they make you buy a more expensive package to get them. Should be standard equipment on a $60k truck.
Great video. Thank you!
A 4 minute intro on. 30+ min video. that's gotta be a record.
