This video was PERFECT! I ran it nicely but used the t tap connector HR sent. I have the same truck so the light green wire and black wire worked. The stock lights were 100 percent useless in dark areas and this solved the issue
XTR LP license plate LED light completely corrected the GMC reverse light deficiency, adding the LED bulbs to illuminate the license plate made it 120 percent improvement, get the double tap connector and light bulb grease and your good as gold, great job Headlight Revolution, if you can’t get your hand in to turn the tail light bulbs try using an open end box wrench to loosen and tighten bulbs

Easier said than done on the new body style 19+. I attempted to add additional led reverse lights by tapping into the trailer harness and got nothing but strobe/pulse. Did some research and it's due to the fancy trailering electronics. So off came the tail lights.

I'm wanting to install led taillights and turn signals. I've replaced the headlights all ready. I would like to also replace all the interior lights. Do you handle any of these types of bulbs and what do you recommend?

My 7 pin on my Nissan Frontier does. Trailers do come with brakes that are deactivated when the reverse lights on the vehicle comes on, so you can back the trailer

my trailblazer has a 7 pin harness, all you have to do is use a wire spicer and your good to go. No need to remove tail lights and add extra load where its not needed
It's definitely easier to tie into the 7pin wiring if you've got that trailer connector there! We try to produce instructions that will work on every vehicle no matter how they are equipped. Some vehicles do not have a 7pin trailer connector, but every vehicle has reverse light wiring at the tail light!

Is it possible to connect the xtr to reverse taillights AND an upfitter switch so as to be able to use the xtr light occasionally when not in reverse? Thx bg
Yes you could, you'd want to isolate the circuit with a diode or a relay to ensure you don't backfeed your vehicle's reverse light circuit with the upfitter switch though.
We have had some mixed results, some vehicles it makes everything visible, on others it does provide a little glare on the screen. I can tell you one thing for sure, those sure do help for those of us that still use mirrors!

Wouldn't upgrade the factory LED headlights? Man, you guys must not have spent much time driving one of these trucks. Headlights are pretty terrible. You'd be better off getting the halogen housings and dropping in a pair of GTR Ultras.
This particular truck has the full LED package, I'm not aware of any upgrades for them just yet. That being said, when they come out we'll be the first to try them!

Install Torx screws in license plate instead of factory screws. It makes it harder for someone to steal.

Your 7-pin trailer harness has standardized connections including backup and 12v constant power. So why take the brake lights off?

These license plate lights do not have dual functions, unsure of ones that do!

Trailers don't have dedicated lights that come on when switching to Reverse.

Will this work with a plastic license plate cover? Maybe, I will just need longer screws.
It should still work, but if the cover is on the thicker side you may just need longer bolts!👍

You could wire it to the 7 pin, Yes. Not every vehicle has a tow harness, We wanted our instructions to apply to every vehicle.
