The point of the video is to show off each character's unique features. Since the gunner is the only party member capable of binding enemies, that's what the video focused on. Next, while I agree that using a Paladin to defend against the Dragon's fire attack would be better, that's only because that attack comes at predictable intervals.If a boss has a devastating super attack that can show up randomly, binds are better since they can free up your Paladin to do something else.

That is so bs, you can NOT rely on a bind to stop an enemy's attack, too unreliable. Better off relying on a Paladin instead.
