Helmut Lotti (born Helmut Lotigiers on 22 October 1969), is a Flemish Belgian tenor and singer-songwriter. Lotti performs in several styles and languages. Once an Elvis impersonator, he has sung African and Latino hit records, and he crossed over into classical music in the 1990s.
Isobel Cooper (born January 24, 1975), known professionally as Izzy, is an English operatic pop soprano singer.
Born in Much Wenlock in Shropshire, she trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Her debut audio CD Libera Me was released in 1999. Other CD releases include Ascolta (2000), and New Dawn (2002).

I agree. They aren't destroying it. Sure, it's not the usual, but at least it's getting opera out there in some way to more people who don't know it. And it's still done nicely. It certainly isn't horrible, horrendous, nor butchered.

Is het nog steeds niet door iedereen geweten dat in "zang en muziek" voor iedereen plaats is en dat iedere "stem" (hoe mooi, lelijk of eigenaardig die ook moge 'klinken') zijn 'aanhangers' of 'bewonderaars' heeft... dat is nu eenmaal het geluk voor vele zangers en zangeressen..... ik vermoed dat alle muziek gecomponeerd werd om te'' bevallen'', of dat nu 'moderne' muziek is of muziek die "klassiek" genoemd wordt.... muziekminnenden die ervan kunnen genieten hebben "geluk" en "gelijk".... "of bepaalde muziek moet gesubsidieerd????" : als er geen behoefte aan is ???? als deze niet zelfbedruipend is??????? Als er een te klein publiek op afkomt??????
hoe kan je genieten van zo'n vresselijke manier van zingen?!met alle respekt voor Izzy Cooper en Lotti in wat andere liedjes dat hij ooit heeft gezongen..lol..

What is the highest note - above double-lined C - Lotti can sing ? He seems to have an extra Octave available whenever the mood strikes him, and he seems to be able to hold those high notes until forever.

Helmut Lotti soll kein Belcanto singen, hat keine geeignete Stimme und keine Gefühle ! Izzy Cooper hat eine wunderschöne Stimme und singt mit Leidenschaft 🤗🥰. Herrn Lotti ist die Sopranistin völlig egal, wie man am Schluss von diesen Duett (eigentlich eine Tenor Arie) sieht.

Both of them are professionals. Especially Helmut Lotti. He so talented and versatile he can hold his own 2-3 hour concerts and have a big paying audience. Which can't be said about the ordinary, less than mediocre, run of the mill shouting opera singer who even can't sing a "simple" pop song without the audience dispersing.
