Vlhova, with her longer legs definitely had an advantage on the bumps and on this course setting.
Petra did have a jump on the start, her start timing was right on. Look at it, her knees out of the gate before Mikaela.

Oh oh. Check the still frame at the green lights on the start. Petra has green light while Shiffrin still has a red light.
Because Petra had the advantage from the previous round. Look at the beginning, it says Shiffrin has +0.21 :)

Petra's start gate opened before Shiffin's did. Check the still frames on the video.
Michael Kingsbury yes, because Petra made 1 round faster than Shiffrin. Petra was faster about 0.21 seconds, so her gate was opened earlier than Shiffrin.
@@esga6861 Do you have a link to FIS rules on this? I wasn't under the impression that previous times were carried into the final race. If that is the case, then good.
@@esga6861 I'd like Petra to win once every 5 times, for the sake of the sport. To keep it interesting and give hope to new skiers. I'm a big supporter of Slovakian, Slovenian, Croatian skiing programs.
@@esga6861 I really like the way Petra hunches down and keeps her head down, to cut wind resistance, we've never seen that before in Slalom, great attention to detail, she's good and has a good spirit and beautiful smile.
