It think interrupts should not be in the trees at all, tbh. Make them baseline for ALL speccs and replace them with something more interesting in the trees.
@@kunstfan4693so in the world of absurd amount of healing, dmg reduction, gap closers for melees and no punishment for the wrong use(low CD or two charges) (really even as a warlock with circle, gates, displacement, warrior sits on me 80% of the time, priest got just no chance) with slows and CC chains, when most of the time u just can do 5-7 casts in a whole arena match, why priest can't have silence, lol 😅
The way that i am currently looking at Spriest, the bonus range can easily end up feeling like a bait talent. The second they make the tier set play around ghosts. Standing further back just isn't going to feel as good as it should. on top of that there's the issue of a lot of healer specs wanting the group to stay stacked for maximized healing. I can see the talent feeling pretty good in raid, standing with the boomies on pull. But outside of that i don't see a world where i would be going ham for that extra range. For future changes, i kinda hope they look at idol of Y'Shaarj, And creating a world where that talent is good, and have it interact with deathspeaker and voidweaver hero talents. Getting to create a "pet build" where we can random have 3-5 mindbender out at a time sounds hilarious if you ask me.
I think you're looking at it the wrong way, this talent just costs 1 point that we don't even have to change pathing for since we always want Improved Fade, and, just because you take it doesn't mean you have to camp at 46 yds the entire encounter. Think of it like less of a requirement and more of a nice buffer - if you have to go out of 40 yds to dodge a Nymue line or a Smolderon tornado or because of Rasz winds, etc etc, you still have 6 more yds of play before you have to stop damage. That's good even if it only lets you get 1-2 extra spells off in an encounter.
@@crazzluz1702 I see your points, as i said i do see where this in going to feel good in raid. That being said most of the possible issues i see are more relevant in discussing the talent for mythic+ specifically. But then again in my friend group i am known for my doomer takes on stuff. But even then i still feel id rather spec into extra defensiveness over the 6 yard bonus range.
I just want something to change with the spec tree, i dont know what specifically but something too just freshen up the spec a bit. Void crash choice node was nice, but i want more. like less 2 point nodes. Where is my yearly Shadow Priest rework at?
Honestly I don't see the need for the "phantom reach" talent in most scenarios. Seems like I'll drop this to take damage reduction even if it's only 2% and take "angelic bulwark" instead. As we progress further and further in MM+ keys, the damage taken is huge and you look for every little damage reduction/vers. We'll see how this plays out but it might be a better idea to take less versatility and aim defensives talents. I kind of like mindgames, sad to see it goes into a pvp talent but it's okay less button to press I guess, they simplify the rotation with new hero spells
I'm super stoked for cauterizing shadows, but not for spriest. In shadowlands it was too mana intensive for disc, and wasnt very helpful for spriest, but up through the high teens in mythic+ it was very easy healing for holy. Throw it down on a few enemies and it was like a free circle of healing comstantly going off. It was easily 15-20% of my healing.
Phantom Reach alone make the changes worthwhile. Never gonna take the other ones but Phantom Reach? Hell, yeah. As a boomie main and shadow "main alt". Great talent.
Wish they removed Vampiric Touch and baked in all its effects into SW:P - single, instant cast DoT .. with DP coming in as this extra insanity spender. VT and SW:P existing as separate debuffs are overkill in modern Shadow Priest toolkit and just cause to much overcomplication in the tree. Maybe VT could be this extra, non dps CD - like regen mana for party/raid healers as it originally did.
To a certain point I agree, but from a thematic perspective not sure they ever will. Fundamentally Shadow is always going to face an identity crisis of being a DoT spec vs. something else and I'm not sure they would ever fully go away from having our core DoTs.
I was hoping that they would remove mindflay insanity or change how the spec plays in voidform. I used to really enjoy playing shadow but I really don’t like feeling bloated inside voidform with procs from all sources and using voidbolt. I’ve tried to enjoy it this expansion but mindflay insanity feels like it doesn’t belong inside voidform unless voidbolt had a longer cooldown. I’ve played shadow for years but I don’t think I can play another expansion of shadow if the spec feels bloated again inside voidform and feeling limited in aoe scenarios that every other spec can handle. I just want it to feel clean to play.
I feel like they made the same mistake like always... They think priest is more a support DPS than a pure dmg, i cant say that is a bad thing, but it should be a choice, DMG vs Utility or Group Heal vs Self Defense. That a better design for me. Believe me or not, my heal wish me to have second dispersion or similar to that, than a vampiric embrace 😅
Three horrendous talents. Meanwhile our sp talent tree is outdated with really weak and/or useless talents that never saw play, and more likely won't ever.
Shadow is definitely not bottom but it’s not top either. Tuning has barely started yet relative to other classes so I wouldn’t be worried. If anything people are the top will be the first to get nerfed so pick your battles
Probably worst talents ever made for people who don't wanna minmax everything for pve or pvp. Really boring, does not fit the shadow theme and does not help at all in pvp. I don't like mind games either but those 3 talents are worst ones I've seen a while...
Just put silence in the class tree so that the only specs without an interrupt can actually get one.
a healer with a 4 second silence? pvp?

I need a talent where my dagger talks in party chat and tells M+ members what type of void spells KO'ed them.
The change seems pretty lackluster. That silence is in the spec tree is really fucked up if you ask me.

Yeah can’t see me wanting range in m+ ever vs DR.
I'm personally a big fan of more range. Love long range classes!

Why are there very little to no core shadow talent changes AND why is shadow form still so BORING compared to how epic shadow form felt in CATA😢😢😢
I hope they change or improve the activation mode of [Protective Light] a bit.
Been waiting for this video!

I like VT as is and with shadow crash it is maintained easily enough so I don't think that change is necessary.
Need Phantom reach to work on psychic scream. Im always in melee for my aoe interupt anyways so why does it matter if my kit is 40 or 46.
still no mind sear

Yeah we got Mindgames removed but it can still be overwhelming in your opening burst, especially with archon giving you 3 free surge procs

All you do is complain you should just find a new class.
