Two years later this is more relevant than ever. Thank you so much for the science! You may not be my professor, but you are my teacher.

Interesting that my teacher linked an alternative video for this portion of the lesson. Thank you Wendy. I love your teaching.
Please continue to be nothing less than the honest beautiful soul that you are regardless of what others say. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. You are a fantastic teacher and I have learned a lot from you. Not just from the material that you have presented but it is the way you present it. Your passion for what you teach and the degree to which you want your students to learn and engage with the material is undeniable. Much love and respect
She's a beautiful soul, I love her!
Good scientific insight on such a delicate matter, unnecessarily entertained by society! If skin colour should be a parameter for measuring one's intelligence, then fingerprints should be an equally viable option, but I guess that's a lot of work. The most important traits I seek are curiosity, the capacity to learn and the ability to adapt, and that there is something anyone can do, not everyone of course, but anyone under the right circumstances. Thanks Wendy!
Had to watch your videos for class. Shout out to you Ms. Wendy for speaking out for us while teaching your lesson. The world loves you!
Wow, this is inspired me so much. Especially coming from someone in the science world, sucha beautiful message. Thank you!
I loved this one so much. I literally teared up. I am so happy that you tackled this subject head on. First off this is really really cool. I didn't know any of this. I'm Puerto Rican and you literally opened my eyes to an entire part of my existence that effects everything I do on a daily basis and my mental state. I'm working on my CSCS without a formal degree in this, but I love training people and wait lifting and from the bottom of my heart thank you for creating all of this. I'm going back to school for my BS and beyond and this will prepare me for years to come. Truly thank you for everything you've done. You touched my heart with this one.
Oh man...thank you for sharing this. It really hit me. I've been learning so much about how melanin and racism impact health. Sounds like you are doing really good work in the world.
Never expected to be brought to tears during an anatomy lesson. Thank you for being an amazing instructor and person.

2023 Histology lab exam 😭😭💔💔
I think everyone wants the truth. Maybe everything you said here is correct (it partially is, but is leaving out so much), but I am willing to bet there is no one who listens to you who thinks you wouldn't hide information to protect those who you wrongly think need protecting. Obviously, our genetic make-up says an extreme amount about who we are, as both those who have those extra melanocytes will tell you and also as epidemology will tell you (yes, different ethnic groups get different diseases statistically). Do socio-cultural factors also play a role? Well, of course, but the phrase "it's a social construct" is both misleading and has no explanatory weight. Also, you should be ashamed of yourself for attaching your own personal brand of political propaganda to educational videos. Make a separate video, label it as politics, and then express away.
dude you don't need to watch it, she's doing this for FREE she can say whatever she wants, as long as the science is right, which it is btw
@hegeleze U need to take several sits and keep ur fingers off the keyboard!!U cannot separate education and politics!!
She never said our genetics don't make up anything about us. She said shin color doesn't determine our potential and who we turn out to be. You obviously weren't even paying attention to the video, just as you aren't paying attention to what's actually going on in the world. .
I do not understand you Hegeleze!!! My skin color has nothing to with who I am as a person. I come from a mixed race with the majority of my family being white. My body produces more pigment than most of my family. Because of this I am constantly stereotyped to fit a role I do not! If you truly believe the pigment of your skin has anything to do with your character as a person you are an idiot!!! In fact my skin color has nothing to with with my culture! As a human race we mixing (reproducing with one another) and there is nothing you can do! Get over YOURSELF Windy has nothing to be ashamed of this is her video if you do not like it too bad!
Dude get a life, if you don’t like her videos then don’t watch them simple as that. She is right education and politics do go in the same category.
new President-- renewed science. you are so sweet.
