The funny thing is, I've been saying this since before the ECW/WCW buyout. Giamatti is an absolute genius, and he's a very close visual fit for Hayman. Giamatti's work on Man in the Moon showed he can handle biopic work well, and he fully embraces every role. I haven't been to a theater since 10,000 BC premiered, but I'd go watch this in theaters.
Nic would be better, honestly. He's already weird af, so he could get into the character, no problem. He'd have way too much fun with the whole "son of the devil" angle.😂
@@armenian_nightmare33 Sam is a badass, but he's a bit long in the tooth for the role. 30 years ago, he'd have nailed it. He'd make one heck of a Jesse Ventura, though.
MoistCritikal as the Undertaker is definitely an interesting choice, but having seen how he handled Sneako in the meatcanyon universe, I can say he’d do it justice.
While a Bruno Sammartino or Kurt Angle biopic would be great and inspirational, I want to see a kayfabe origin story of Undertaker and Kane. They have done it on a comic and novel, so why not the big screen?
It's amazing how you didn't mention Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle. Those two deserve their own movies the most in fact I think an Eddie Guerrero movie is already in development. Both of those two have legendary stories and it's disappointing that you didn't mention them
The movie is in the early states. I think Chavo JR is trying to get the right people involved to get it in development. I hope we get to see this movie one day.
Why don't they have a biopic on Bruno Samartino. I read his biography. Escaping from Italy in WW II. Going from sickly kid to WWWF champion. His life had everything. I would watch it.
Cheating Death, Stealing Life. It's the perfect title for an Eddie Guerrero biopic. Not sure who could really play him though. And for Heyman... The Shaman of Wrestling sounds like a great fit.
Interesting list! Also, I remember somebody saying that there should be a biopic about Eddie Guerrero and that he should be played by Pedro Pascal - that could work, I think!
Chavo Jr. has stated in an interview that given how well Iron Claw did and how for the most part it was faithful to the Von Erich story both how they were in the ring and their personal lives outside of the ring that him and the rest of the Guerrero family, and Rey Mysterio and his family are fine with A24 pictures doing a Guerrero bio-pic focusing on his grandpa Hector Guerrero, his dad Chavo Guerrero Sr. and uncle Eddie Guerrero trying to make Lucha-Libre a popular style of wrestling in the US during the 80s and 90s and the highs and lows of that real-life journey but on 2 conditions the first is it has to be a good film made with care and not made as a cash-grab to capitalize on the Guerrero name, and the 2nd is it has to capture both the highs and lows of Hector, Chavo Sr., Eddie, and the Guerrero family in the ring, and concerning their personal lives especially as a family outside the ring.
While I can’t deny the fact that SOME of these characters could stand a biopic movie - the casting, with the sole exception of Giamatti as Heyman is atrocious 😂
That’s exactly what I thought even Jared Leto as a “young version” of anyone is so silly he’s in his 50s and cage as taker would be awesome but again maybe twenty years ago lol
Paul G the way he talks in Cinderella Man always made me want to see him be Paul Heyman. I think if we want a more accurate Deadman we get someone younger, but can be physical and take on the serious. I say Alexander Skarsgård. He was very good in the Northsman. He can translate that to be the dead man better than Cage.... RESPECTFULLY
Half of these wouldn't sell but these would: SAMMARTINO: Its the American immigran dream and one mans journey JAKE Roberts: The Pro Wrestling Version of Nick Cage's Leaving Los Vegas with him reuniting with Cheryl (which just recently happened IRL) SHAWN/BRET: repairing a Broken friendship after twists and turns
Other great options: Bill Skarsgard as Edge Seth Rogan as Mick Foley Walton Goggins as CM Punk. Channing Tatum as Kurt Angle. LaKeith Stansfield as Booker T. Tom Holland as AJ Styles. Daniel Radcliffe as Brian Pillman. Terry Crews as Moose!! Mia Goth as Abadon. Any others we missed?
Watch Killer of the Flower Moon and tell me that Brendan Frazier isn’t a better Paul Heyman… I’ll wait. That movie is very long, but I’ll wait. He looks exactly like Heyman.
Some non wrestler roles: Ray Wise as Vince McMahon Edie Falco as Linda McMahon Paul Dano - Shane McMahon Alexandra Daddario- Stephanie McMahon Bob Odenkirk -Jimmy Hart Bill Hader - Jim Cornette John Carrol Lynch- Paul Heyman Stephen Root - Jim Ross Richard Kind - Paul Bearer Simon Peg - Michael Cole
He was almost Thor, but I always thought they mossed a chance to use him as Sabertooth. He would have been much better than the dude from Manchurian Candidate.
Some of these wrestlers could have their stories on streaming services. Mostly because if you're not worldwide known like The Undertaker, Jake Roberts, Bruno, Paul Heyman, HBK or Bret. People aren't going to be interested in watching it in theaters.
The Wrestler (even though Randy the Ram was fictional), Fighting With My Family (Saraya/Paige was barely known AT ALL outside wrestling) and The Iron Claw (The Von Erichs are known in Texas but not worldwide) have all done decent business at theatres; even in my hometown of Sheffield, England, where the films were pretty packed in our biggest cinema...
I think a Paul Heyman biopic starring Giamatti would be absolutely mint. Pls make it happen!
Danny Devito would have been perfect to play Paul Heyman
It would be PERFECT
Literally a perfect casting

Literally perfect, that’s who I think of when I see Paul Heyman and vice verse
Danny Devito as Trish Stratus definitely caught me by surprise, but by the end you sold me on it.
That one shocked me also, but damn it I'm all for it.
😂😂😂 managing T&A, how cool 👏🏼👏🏼
I'm amazed we haven't had a Bruno Sammartino biopic by now.
Yeah
For older Bruno I feel like they could use Robert De Niro
FACTS considering bruno had lived a interesting life and was one of wwe’s first big stars.
@@cliffordjackson3 yeah
Vince Vaughn as Jake Roberts is a good call
I feel like you can do Nic Cage as well as an older version
Nic would be better, honestly. He's already weird af, so he could get into the character, no problem. He'd have way too much fun with the whole "son of the devil" angle.😂
NO IT'S NOT
SAM ELLIOTT
@@armenian_nightmare33 Sam is a badass, but he's a bit long in the tooth for the role. 30 years ago, he'd have nailed it. He'd make one heck of a Jesse Ventura, though.
Hitting hard right out of the gate with Finlay/Graham. Two of my absolute favorites in their respective genres.
I would like to see three biopics of WWE superstars.
1. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
2. "Classy" Freddy Blassie.
3 "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart.
Id like to add "Superstar" Billy Graham to that list.
Nic Cage in 10 inch heels
MoistCritikal as the Undertaker is definitely an interesting choice, but having seen how he handled Sneako in the meatcanyon universe, I can say he’d do it justice.
😂 I think Charlie is a bit too tall
This is the only right answer
FACTS😂.
Idk if Nic Cage should be Taker
@@zanethind I think it’s a terrible idea

True
RIC FLAIR needs a bio pic!!✨ GOAT 🐐💞
Always thought Joel Kinnaman would make a great Undertaker. Watching him in Altered Carbon confirmed it
Gail Kim Ellen Wong or Melissa O'Neil a Asian Canadian connection right there
Tom Hardy as The British Bulldog.
Bruh
It's amazing how you didn't mention Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle. Those two deserve their own movies the most in fact I think an Eddie Guerrero movie is already in development. Both of those two have legendary stories and it's disappointing that you didn't mention them
people want Pedro Pascal to play as eddie
Would this biopic have any mention of Chris Benoit? I wonder what the directors would do about him, considering he was a huge part in Eddie's life
@meant4hell of course it would, but there would he no need to make the movie about what he did. End the movie at Eddie's passing, not Chris passing
The movie is in the early states. I think Chavo JR is trying to get the right people involved to get it in development. I hope we get to see this movie one day.
Giamatti is a great choice. Paul Heyman would need to narrate the biopic. I honestly think his story would have mainstream appeal.
Why don't they have a biopic on Bruno Samartino. I read his biography. Escaping from Italy in WW II. Going from sickly kid to WWWF champion. His life had everything. I would watch it.
Leonardo DiCaprio as your choice playing Bruno Sammartino??? Tom Hardy would be a MUCH better choice
This was no doubt a parody video
Cheating Death, Stealing Life. It's the perfect title for an Eddie Guerrero biopic. Not sure who could really play him though.
And for Heyman... The Shaman of Wrestling sounds like a great fit.
There is definitely more than 8 wrestlers that deserve biopics made about them
Vince McMahan biopic would be good. Rise and fall story
A movie I’d like to see would be about the Hart brothers, growing up in the dungeon to brets retirement
Taker’s going to give Wilbourn the Koko tombstone lol
Interesting list!

I'm pretty sure this was a comedy video... If they were serious, their choices suck
@@TucBroder if it was comedy, then they stumbled onto the perfect casting for Heyman ironically
Seriously, don't see how Leonardo DiCaprio could play Bruno Sammartino
Jared Leto is 52. A young Shawn Michaels
Jared Leto never ages though

Nick densmore as mick Foley
Just say EUGENE 😅
Fit Finley!!! Him and his wife come to my shop to get their cars taken care of. Super cool people 😎🤘
Honey I Shrunk the Undertaker with Elijah Wood as Taker.
The Invisible Man with nobody as John Cena 😂
I miss two names on the Ric Flair the Storys you can tell in a non pg movie😂. And John cena played by himself
My top pick for this list is the Paul Heyman one. Chronicling his early days in the business all the way through to the present.
Adam Sandler as Al Snow
Ryan Hurst should play Undertaker if anyone.
Paul G the way he talks in Cinderella Man always made me want to see him be Paul Heyman. Sean bean playing regal can take my money YESTERDAY
hey, it was WCW that original portrays Regal as British upper class, not WWE.
I always thought Christian Bale could play Mick Foley.
Maybe
Kurt Angle or Mark Henry are the only 2 I want to see.
Anthony Mackie as Booker T
NO😅
Jared from supernatural as Undertaker?
Criminal to not have Eddie Guerrero on this list
Played by his son. Dominique Gurrerro
The Hardy’s most definitely. Think about how Matt started his own promotion got his brother and his friends a job in top promotions around the world.
All of New Haven, CT would be game for Paul Giamatti as Heyman!!! 😂😂 I’m starting a petition for our hometown hero right now!!
Nicolas Cage as The Undertaker sounds interesting
The Montreal Screwjob was covered really well already in the Wrestling with Shadows documentary film. Would be hard to top that.
You keep Jared Leto FAR away from Wrestling, the hell are you guys thinking?!

Some non wrestler roles:
Ray Wise as Vince McMahon
Edie Falco as Linda McMahon
Paul Dano - Shane McMahon
Alexandra Daddario-
Stephanie McMahon
Bob Odenkirk -Jimmy Hart
Bill Hader - Jim Cornette
John Carrol Lynch- Paul Heyman
Stephen Root - Jim Ross
Richard Kind - Paul Bearer
Simon Peg - Michael Cole
Vince Vaughn as Jake is inspired. Giamatti as Heyman needs to happen!
stephen lang as Vince McMahon well I wish walter matthau could play Vince McMahon
I'd watch all of them if they were made
No Flair, Funk, Foley, Sabu, Snuka, Saturn or Dynamite Kid?
Tarzan Taborda definitely deserves one
i would love to see a biopic of all of them. great picks
Most of these actors are as old, or older, as the wrestler you're asking them to play a younger version of.
The Sheik...Edward Farhat played by his nephew Sabu
Can we just get a God of War movie with Triple H as Kratos 😅
He was almost Thor, but I always thought they mossed a chance to use him as Sabertooth. He would have been much better than the dude from Manchurian Candidate.
The very very endof this video is just Chef's Kiss
I think Mick Foley deserves one, and i think Roddy Rowdy Piper should have one too
Who would play Jim Cornette
BRIAN ZANE FROM WRESTLING WITH REGRET
Really Adam? You want to cast a Yorkshireman to portray a Lancastrian? Can't imagine either one of them going for that! Lol
Eddie guerrero
Peter Dinklage would be perfect to play Taz
You forgot a good one. Eddie Guerrero. Either Gabriel Luna or Pedro Pascal would be awesome in the role.

Stephen Graham looks like Chad Gable.
Liev Schreiber would make a better jake Roberts imo
Omg!! 👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 wish any of these would get made!! The new “MCU” WRESTLING CINEMATIC UNIVERSE 🤩🤩🤩
The Undertaker should be played by, Kelsey Grammer.
Their life(gimmic) is a movie movie would be allways parody of that
Undertaker, hulk hogan, the rock, ric flair, Dusty Rhodes, Andre the giant, Roddy Piper snd macho man
Batista should play the Rock, Big Show - Andre, and Sandow as Savage
Gotta say, I don't agree with Dicaprio. I think Jon Bernthal would be a better pick.
The one thing that stands out to me is the spirit of poopoo
Ted Danson as ric flair
stephen lang as Vince McMahon
I thought you said Graham Stephan should play Fit Finlay.
You could only have Sean Bean as Regal after Regal dies, Bean must always die
Paul giamatti should play owner of the uwf
I used to say Heyman was like the love child of Paul Giamatti and Penn Jillette.
The only problem I have this those picks are muscles ! LOL .
Jared Leto looks like more Seth Rollins than HBK
Roman Reigns starring Jason Mamoa
A lot of these would end up on Netflix Hulu or some other streaming site
I agree with 8 out of 10
Jake the snake and Nick cage should play him
Nicolas Cage as the Undertaker? Who came up with that idea and what drugs are they using?
Austin Butler would be a better Michaels imo
almost feels like a real list til you get to the end and you say Nic Cage...making it a late April Fools joke
Yo I definitely want to see a Michaels ans Hart biopic. Also KJ Apa is in like jail rn right?
What about... Vacant?
The Giant should get 1 and get a no name actor to play him
Leo for Bruno? 🤣🤣
WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING CASTING VINCE VAUGHAN AS JAKE ROBERTS?🤔🤔
You just said Jared Leto should play one of the best wrestlers ever.
That's me skipping the rest of this list and future ones.
If this video doesn’t include Paul Heyman the video is wrong
Well, seeing as Jared Leto is a method actor, I hope he wouldn't let himself get a concussive kick for real.
I'm sorry... DiCaprio as Bruno? Nope. The answer is Tom Hardy
Nicolas Cage as The Undertaker 😂😂😂😂😂. He could play as The Gold dust.
