    Anybody besides me recall the last "COMET OF A LIFETIME!!!"? " Months of buildup about how "It'll light up the sky like another moon!" and "It's gonna be SPECTACULAR!" and "So bright you'll be able to see it during the day!" Yeah, that's right, I'm speaking of the mega-flop called Kohoutek... That ended up being a barely visible smudge when looked at through large binoculars or a small telescope, and only if you lived far, far away from any population center and its street lights. I ain't gonna be getting too worked up over this one...

    The mini moon would not create an massive impact if it hit earth. Because it is so small, it could burn up in atmosphere. If it did hit, it would not create much of impact due to being so small. It would have little effect.

    • @cosmicraysshotsintothelight
      @cosmicraysshotsintothelight Месяц назад +1

      Do you know what the estimated size of the mass that caused the Tunguska Event? It was only a few times larger at 180 feet in diameter. That was an air burst explosion event. The mile wide Barringer Meteor Crater was produced by a 50 to 60 meter wide impactor and it excavated 175 million tons of rock. So hitting ANY populated area would be massively damaging.

      It is not a minimoon.... by definition a minimoon is an object caught for at least one full loop in Earths or it... this object is projected to only horseshoe and not make even one full loop.... not a minimoon.

    • @phoenixxavier9615
      @phoenixxavier9615 Месяц назад

      Any potential impact will depend on its composition. If it's one solid mass, it would cause a big bang if it hits the earth (see Barringer). Alternatively, if it's gravel frozen together, then it would burn up fairly quickly & would be likely cause an air burst (see Tunguska). But as nobody knows its composition, it could be anything in between those two scenarios. But this is all hypothetical as it's unlikely to hit the earth.

    • @o0TaxMan0o
      @o0TaxMan0o Месяц назад

      Corona Borealis, the "Northern Crown" constellation, is visible at different times depending on your location and the time of year. Here's a general guide:
      Northern Hemisphere: Corona Borealis is best visible in the spring and summer months. In particular, it is prominent in the evening sky from April to August, with June and July offering the best views when it is high overhead.
      Southern Hemisphere: The constellation is lower in the sky and is best seen during the winter months, from May to July. However, it doesn't rise very high and can be harder to spot.
      To view it, look for the constellation between Boötes and Hercules. It forms a semicircular pattern of stars that resembles a crown.

    The Oort Cloud is a theoretical concept and is unlikely to actually exist. This is because it is based on a long-time fallacious conception of comets as 'dirty snowballs in space', which they are not; they are asteroids with wide-ranging orbital characteristics. The fallacious concept of comets is also drawn from another fallacy, that of accretion disc theory. Comets in reality display robust electrical/plasma phenomenon, their tails being electrical plasma flarings due to changes in their electrical state in relation to their high speed change of position in the electrical environment of the Sol system. The comets (as asteroids) themselves are formed as debris from cataclysmic electrical fissioning events, either through material birth from Birkeland Currents or imbalanced proximal interactions between stars and planets naturally engaging in electrical re-equillibrium. 🤠

      yes, there is always a margin of error, 2012 or 2025 would only be a small error. We had to translate the Mayan calendar. Beside that, they would never inform the public. Imagine they would inform us about an imminent collision with a massive asteroid, everyone would know April 2025 the world like we know today would be gone. You think everyone would go his way like always? The chaos would start after only a few days. The governments would start to mistrust each other, start implement laws like, food, gas, water export are banned, despite being allied, that's why there is a secret plan in place for such an event, in every country only selected people would receive the info,the current governments would know nothing! Remember operation Gladio, as Italian PM Andreotti told it to the press? A secret plan in case the Soviet's would take over Europe? Anyways, something similar is already implemented and started long before project "Space force".
