It's cheap because you got ripped off when you bought the first watch so they've already got your money 🙂 Watch which you need to charge every day is a joke
As someone who has tried the OnePlus Watch series, Amazfit Watch series, Apple Watch series, and Samsung Watch series, here are a few observations to keep in mind. I noticed there are questionable reasons why the Amazfit and OnePlus Watch series tend to have much better battery life: these watches sometimes "guess" the heartbeat instead of measuring it accurately, often ignore phone notifications entirely, and have screens that are not as bright or of as high quality, with poor visibility from various angles. Personally, I love the design of Amazfit watches the most (I still wear them occasionally), but my Samsung Watch remains my primary choice. Oh, and Apple Watches are actually more accurate and smoother in operation, but I dislike how their design makes them more prone to scratches and cracks, with the screen left more exposed.
I don't think they need to merge the health app and the watch app together, I think they are very fine the way they are to reduce complexity and confusion, some people don't use the Galaxy watch to track their fitness, sports and health tracking they use other devices or just the phone alone, imagine not wanting to open the health app or watch app and you open one of the apps and you have features of the other app that is not relevant to you at the moment or at all it's going to be crazy, the watch app has so many features on its own and so does the health app, imagine merging both of them as one, the app is going to be crazily packed with irrelevant features to users and very confusing
In a world, where OnePlus Watch 2r exists, which has 3 times better battery life, better UI and 30% lower price, Galaxy Watch7 is a strange recommendation. Sure, OnePlus has very weak Fitness software part, but if fitness is important part of the watch experience, it's better go go with Garmin instead.
while i agree oneplus watch 2R is the absolute bang for the buck(i'd go for it too probably),but the discounted price for both is pretty similar also watch 7 is much more fast and snappier than watch 2R,watch a detailed comparison if you want
I really don't understand why the people get only 24 hours of battery life. I have galaxy watch 6 44mm, with AOD on + 01:30 hour in the gym every day + Bluetooth music direct from the watch and I get easily 02 days, sometimes almost 03 days
I've never past 2 days! GW6 LTE Classic 43mm here. AOD on and Bluetooth always on, but LTE off, wifi off, GPS off, airplane mode on, no digital assistant enabled, music played from phone and just the stock apps installed
@alex-coelho That is because you have the smaller version, the watch 6 44mm and watch 6 classic 47mm have better battery life. I'm telling because I also have watch 6 in 40 mm and the battery is noticeable better in the 44mm version.
@@fabiobertelli hmmm that makes more sense! although GW6 44mm's and GW6 Classic 43mm's sizes are basically the same, the former has a 425mah battery but the latter has only 300mah according to the Samsung website. Oh well, my choice for the rotating bezel had to come with some downsizes, no pun intended
You know what i find rather unfortunate is that the galaxy watch 7 and ultra can't connect directly to a chest strap. I need the google fit app for this, the steps / heart measurements are not transferred correctly to the Samsung fitness app,b which in my opinion is a major disadvantage. Even Apple can do that. I am a Samsung user and don't understand this disadvantage as the watch is bluetooth capable.
I'm thinking of upgrading from the 4 to the 6 bc sadly wireless power sharing is not a thing anymore on the 7 :/ I do tend to use that feature regularly when staying over at a friend's house for a few days without preparing for example and hence not having my charger, it's very useful to share battery from my phone so definitively the 7 is not for me
I would say my upgrade from the OG GW to GW6 was a major upgrade. From tizen to wear os. Massive difference from battery to performance. Only thing i miss is my rotating bezel
My wrists are so tiny as well, around 13.5 mm so I have trouble in finding a band that actually fits. I have the green Galaxy Watch 7, but looking for the release of the Garmin Forerunner 975 early next year since the GW7 GPS is so bad it is hard to pace myself while going on runs.
honestly depends on what you prefer to use, Its not that one is better than the other. What truly matters is what you like, a classic round shape or a modern square shape. and you cany go wrong with either of the option so dont fret to much.
I just don't see the point as the tracking upgrades are too minimal for me and like you said lack of rotating Bezel, the Bezel is why I buy Samsung, it's such a useful and signature feature only to remove it again this time around and release an Apple watch from Temu looking Ultra, it's a sad state I really don't see the point of the 7 vs Classic 6, especially with the price difference I'd really like to see a comparison
I just traded in my 6 Classic for a 7. I actually prefer the fact that the 7 is much lighter and also doesn't have those random stutters the 6 Classic did.
what is the strange catch ? also be sure that you have a samsung galaxy device to get all the functionality. I hate this reviewers who are always talking as if we all have samsung galaxy devices. Average people do not have the luxury to own all phones from all manufacturers. A good reviewer should always consider average demographic.
This is what I came here to ask about. Is it ideal for all Android users, or just those with Samsung? Wish there was more discussion on that front, especially from Ryan who says he uses a OnePlus 12 as his go to phone.
Well I have an old Huawei Watch GT 1st gen. Battery holds at least a week, it charges in 1 hour, and it tracks fitness, calories, sleep and blood oxygen. I use it mostly for work as I can call and answer from my wrist and for the 100$ price tag I paid 5 years ago, there is no new smartwatch that would justify more than 200$-400$ price difference. I had an Apple watch 8 for a short time and the fact you have to charge it daily is simply ridiculous.
The ideal smartwatch doesn’t have a round display. A radial analog watch, sure, but anything displaying text- like a smartwatch- is better off with a more square display. A round shape is often also worse for things like internal optimization, requiring a lot of unused space.
"It's still very much up to date even though it was released 4 months ago"
I should hope it is..
I upgraded from my Galaxy watch 6 for only $39. The faster SoC is definitely worth the upgrade
It's cheap because you got ripped off when you bought the first watch so they've already got your money 🙂 Watch which you need to charge every day is a joke

But could my smartwatch becomes the wireless "brains" for my XR glasses or titanium-clad paper thin foldable at some point?
Smartwatch bettery life already sucks. You want your phone for brains and watch for input. Look at Meta's Orion.

I guess, it's a good watch, although it isn't cheap, but looks really awesome. As about GPS problems, it may be fixed in future updates.

oneplus watch 2 is very bad in terms of accuracy of health stuff i mean way wayy worse
I like the cameo ps the Nothing ear Stick.😊
I have exactly the same watch/band combo, good taste.

LTE Drains a lot

i upgraded from a watch4 classic and like the watch7 44mm. i don't miss the rotating bezel. great improvement!
The heart rate tracking on Galaxy Watches are straight doodoo.

So what's better about it over the previous model?

When are we gonna get more bands for the Ultra? The default marine band leaves marks on my skin lol
did you test the LTE version?
peace be upon you sir from me
Which is better round dial or a square dial and why?
honestly depends on what you prefer to use, Its not that one is better than the other. What truly matters is what you like, a classic round shape or a modern square shape. and you cany go wrong with either of the option so dont fret to much.
If you are doing more traditional phone tasks then square dial
I prefer more classic round design

How can it be ideal with 24h battery life.. Anything less than 4 days is not acceptable to be comfortable.
What about the OnePlus watch 2?
No Facer & No watchmaker on the GW7. So it's a NO from me.
Go Garmin. Simple.
I would rather have the watch 6 classis with the BEZEL, 47 mm

Terrible vibration on GW7 discourages any desire to use them
Why do so many people write that the battery lasts for 10h on a charge?
If it's true, then how can you recommend it to anyone?
in my case id use it for 1.5-2.5 days before charging

Sure, but some people actually want it to look cosmetically like a watch. To each his own.
