I think a loft bedroom in the rear of the house would look good. Support frames to use low walls and stairs on the right going up. Kitchen underneath loft area. Also, with down wall on garage side, turn that into a door. Just thoughts. Keep up the awesome work your doing.
I'm really liking the idea of a loft. I have a problem of not being able to envision how things will look without actually seeing them, so my layouts are always all over the place and get redone numerous times. So you suggesting specific layout ideas is actually way more helpful than you realize. Thank you!
I agree. The problem was that when I made most of the chests, I didn't have lead plates to make metal chests. With the last one I made to help clean up the inventory, I just didn't think about it and made an improved wooden chest even though I had lead plates (and batteries to break down into lead plates). I thought about that after I'd already crafted the chest. But from here on out, if I make more chests, they'll be metal.
I plan to head to the scrapyard in the near future to look for bike parts to start fixing up a dirt bike I found in one of the sheds in town, so I'll grab some lead plates and more scrap while I'm there.
The problem with that is the big tree in the way. Unless I can figure out a route that will let me drive in from the back side, I won't be able to have a ramp in any of the positions other than the current one due to the tree, a rock, and I think a log. So I'll probably look at how I might be able to drive around to the back of the garage and put doors in that side.
I agree. There's a lot that I'd like to do with a base, but right now, we're basically limited to cabins and bigger cabins. Yeah, you can make them fairly elaborate (if you have a low population server or single player so you can increase the number of elements) but there's really not much reason to upgrade beyond wood unless you just really want to or you're on a server that's notorious for constant raids.
@@FlailyMcFlailerson sometimes I'll build to the plank level and it looks okay. Then because of time constraints and video making I'll just godmode to brick. Looks way better, and I don't think people mind.
I don't disagree. I like the brick look, and may go for that. But I'm trying not to GodMode anything I don't have to. I'd like this season to be a true long-play of the game. I may do some of the construction off camera just to keep it from being repetitive. But a lot of people have requested base building, so I'm trying to show as much as possible.

Add ramp to the back you can add three ramps you won't have to turn around then you can make it smaller
So just make it drive-thru? That's a good idea, so long as it would still allow me to have the roof like I want.
i think the better you survival the sticks planks and logs you get
you may have to move the ramp to the far left
I'm not sure if that would work due to rocks/logs being in the way. I'll have to check next time I'm in and see if there's a clear path.
licensed contractors are rare on the island
Make metal chest's you'll have more space🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Scrapyard is full of lead plates and also you can find them in torpedo factory

Are you playing on Wolf pack server maybe???
And by the way where are you from, I ask because of time difference hahahaah
😍
the Golden Rule : He who has the Gold makes the rules
I have no Gold, so I guess I can't make the rules. But since it's single player, there's no one to question my rules! I love technicalities 😊
As far as the garage goes. 3x3 will work if each section has its own double door for parking i stead of trying to pull in and turn..

just use the exterior walls but you won't have roofs
But I wanted the roof...The whole point of the garage was to be able to load/unload/work on the vehicles without being out in the bad weather.
Scum has some of the most boring bases. Cant wait for the next update
