excellent job at the explanations. happen to have a friend who fired up a g-portal server, just for him and me for now. he claims he cannot 'see' server setting on the esc menu (i cannot either) so I go to g-portal and manually adjust the settings. too bad they combined so many of the settings - but guess it made sense to them for some reason.

Currently starting a server for my wife and I and would like to understand how that is all working before I turn them on. I heard it was an absolute disaster but that they have kind of fixed them??
@@oneill6291 yall welcome to join my public sever instead of renting one. Its a PVE sever BDOL 1. Its the same one I record videos on as well. As far as the hordes, its still a work in progress..I currently have my hordes off on the server..

Thanks, I checked. Unfortunately I couldn't find it. When I put a flag, zombies don't appear in that area. In private areas, all global settings are allowed. For example, I put a flag on a church, there are no zombies there anymore. I want a challenge, let them all come. 😊
I watched this video as it is pretty good for SP mode, and I turned "puppets can vault windows", to "off" and welp I had one vault through a window.... Any suggestion on if this is my fault, for misunderstanding your instructions, or a bug I should report? 🤔
@@MarquisLudwig07 did the setting need a "server restart". Single player is simply going to main menu and entering the game again. Some settings are good right away, some need restart. If you restarted the game and this is still happening, a bug report may be needed.
I'll see if I can't "reproduce" it and see if it is indeed a bug - thanks for this video truly helpful for SP mode, now if I can survive 10 puppets/zombies lol #noobalert
@@KannieGamen since that video the Devs have reworked the horde system. Keep that in mind. However, from my understanding, yes. If you input 0 (zero) in all horde settings they shouldn't spawn. Turning them off.
@@KannieGamen use the cooldown setting, other settings will increase the horde numbers. horde cooldown and world cooldown will slow the respawn of hordes and standard puppets in the world.

man these new settings are so confusing. the old ones where better, we literally just had to search for the "max allowed zombies" and put it on 500 lol. as a non-english speaker these new "encounter blah blah per player multiplier" is so annoying and it gives me a headache trying to understand all that.

@AlfradoGaming-lq1jx I had Scum for years and never really gave it a chance. I was into Dayz real heavy. Went from playing on official servers and dealing with cheaters that pushed me to host my own. With many years of of server and mod experience for dayz . Switching to Scum is like a vacation as all the mods I'd need to add for the game play and features i like . Scum has out the box. Just a few short months in and am really digging it.

He needs to add his steamID to ServerSettingsAdminUsers in the configuration files in gportal.

What is the setting to show how much fame points, gold and money you have without going in your inventory?
@@Sublaser0 i do belive that is the way it is now with the last update. They moved things around to help clean up the main screen.

Hi , What needs to be done for zombies to appear in the flag area? When you throw a flag on the server, zombies do not appear.

So the horde cooldown: The higher number, the longer it takes before a ²nd horde can be triggered?
