2023 LMH & LMDh Hypercars/GTPs in action at Monza: 9X8, 499P, 963, Cadillac, BMW M Hybrid, GR010!

- In the last few months I managed to record almost every car created by the new LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) and LMDh (Le Mans Daytona h) regulations so far at Monza Circuit, both during the 6 Hours race and during various collective test days.
The two rulesets lead to the creation of cars that are distinct but can compete equally for victory (also due to BoP-Balance of Performance adjustments) in the premier class of endurance racing, called 'Hypercars' in the FIA WEC and 'GTP' in the WeatherTech IMSA Championship.
LMDh rules allow choosing from a base chassis, of which there are four choices, from Dallara, Ligier, Multimatic, and Oreca, as well as a specification hybrid system on all cars, with freedom on aerodynamics, bodywork, and engine configuration. On the other hand LMH regulation allows bespoke hybrid designs and offers more mechanical design freedom in exchange for elevated development costs and optional hybrid power.
Hope you like it!
List of the cars in the video:
BMW M Hybrid V8 (4.0L Twin-Turbo V8)
Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh (5.5L Naturally-Aspirated V8)

THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!! Авто/Мото
You can tell by the sound which one was made in the USA😅
Yeah wonderful sound....if it would be about that - they would have won the Worldchampionship already! Just saw the GT40 movie - awesome!
I loveeeed that static angle at 2:09 ! The cars blurring by super fast and the changing sound of the engines and the wind, it’s a shame we don’t have more static cameras well placed like that in Motorsport lives
I'll choose the Collective WEC Tests 2023!
Static cams are the best in racing
I love that the Cadillac is still easily identifiable even as it whooshes past 😂
They look like they're exiting warp speed!
Vanwall and Cadillac sound immaculate
The Vanwall was so loud at Le Mans, if only it had the speed it needed.
Byclownlless manage the team, what do u expect from them?
It was loud at spa as well 😅
@@user-xn3vj4eu8la trackside barbecue?
At least it fullfilled the prophecy
@@user-xn3vj4eu8l It didn't ignite, so a big step up.
The cadillac is the best one, i was shocked of the sound at le mans
Reminds me of your old Group C video at Monza, Bozzy. This is a new golden age of endurance racing :)
Among the hypercar class machines, Cadillac has the most distinctive engine sound, followed by Vanwall (ByKolles). This will be the last time we will see Glickenhaus running as he will miss the 6 Hours of Fuji. I wanted to see the unusual design of the LMH machine, which was built in a very small garage, continue. But instead, I am very much looking forward to the debut of new machines from BMW, Lamborghini, and even Isotta Fraschini.
🇮🇹🇯🇵
I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. I'm probably never going to get the chance to see these cars in person but this is the next best thing.
Those Peugeot's are oddly beautiful, the more I look at it the more it grows on me lmao
Same, I love how unconventional it looks. It really stands out
It looked beautiful at night in LM.
That one curb sounds good with all the cars! 😄 Jokes aside, man does that Cadillac thunder, love it! 💪😎
The vanwall sound amazing
Cadillac sounds amazing
Yep. It sounds like Nascar mixed with the late to early year 2000s Indy Racing League (Indycar) nascar-like v8s. :)
That Cadillac @3:44 is such sweet music
Great to hear different sounding engines. Superb.
Merci!
I just now realised how well you edit those smooth sound transitions from clip to clip 👍👍
la mélodie de la Cadillac est géniale
Bozzy back at it once again 👏🔥
So nice to hear the Vanwall and the Cadillac, truly powerful sounds
What an incredible sound the Cadillac has.
The sound of inefficiency.
Thanks for the work you re doing mate! I would love some more heavy breaking zone close ups like those on 2:37 🤤!
The downshifting of the Caddy is totally sick
Got to see these amazing machines at Sebring. We are entering a new great age of sports car racing.
I was just watching your older lmp1 videos, perfect timing
😁👌
Thank you Sir. Amazing job as always
No worries! Thanks a lot for watching
Amazing audio! I'm in heaven.
Just lovely ❤
Got to see the GTP cars at Road America a couple weeks ago. While I like the styling of the Porsche and BMW the best, the sound of the Cadillac is something else. One of them was first out in the first qualifying so I was able to hear it by itself and I swear you could hear it 20 seconds before you saw it. Another note though, I noticed the 963's actually sound pretty different from straight behind as opposed to the side. I mean all of them do to some extent but I thought it was pretty dramatic on the 963's, much more of a deep v8 sound comes through vs hearing them just fly by. 4:00 vs 8:20 is a good example. You'd think they were different cars even though they are literally the same one in this case...lol.
At Le Mans, I'm pretty sure the Cadillac was the loudest Hypercar. Upstaged only by the G56 NASCAR!
holy cowly, the 963 sure is two faced in terms of sound
Toujours au top les vidéos !
Incredible work as always Bozzy!
Thanks a lot!
it was fantastic to watch the 6hrs race in monza (despite the hot weather 🥵) fantastic video as always!
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Listening to these 😒
Watching these 🤩
13:16 That Cadillac THO!
Thunder RUMBLE!
That Vanwall sounds so sick
I knew you were going to go to the 6H of Monza and do a hypercar tribute video! Fantastic video Bozzy! Hope you had a a great time there! So which of the new Hypercars is your favourite? Looks wise the peugeot is easily mine (as for sound, I think we all know which one wins that! XD) Also video of the M Hybrid V8 when?? 😍
hehe yeah I had to 😅 One of the only chances to hear the Cadillac in Monza. Same as you, mate! Peugeot is definitely my favorite one, even soundwise it's probably the most interesting among the V6s. Reagarding BMW, it came to test at the beginning of August together with Isotta. Unfortunately I didn't manage to record it from other spots since Monza was mostly closed due to some disasters caused by a downburst a couple of weeks before the test. Due to the strong winds, the area around and inside the racetrack was full of fallen trees, which have destroyed many of the fences that divide public areas from track-side and marshalls positions. It was full of workers to try to clean and secure the various areas
@@19Bozzy92 It does sound good for a V6, but think the Alpine may have topped it now! Damn and that's very unfortunate about what's happened at Monza :(
Beautiful video! 😁
Thanks!
Ah yes the video I was awaiting since the race finished.
😉
Cadillac sounds so good
Good Lord that Caddy!!!
Thank you for the description as always, and I thought Toyota uses the V8, guess I was wrong.
And if the Porsche 963’s engine is 4.6 L V8, then the engine comes from the 918? Because when I’m listening to the onboard of 963 during 24 hr Le Mans, I was like “wait a minute, this sounds familiar….”
The 963 uses what is basically an evolved version of the 918's engine, which is an evolved version of the RS Spyder's engine
Last time toyota used a V8 was in 2015
Tipo6 sounds is like modern F1 sounds
2:13 the Cadillac's down shifts though 😫
*hand motion intensifies*
The Vanwall sound the best to me
The Isotta sounds like a V6 modern F1 car
Great
Good stuff, Bozzy! What kind of lap times do you think these guys were putting down?
So want to see these (big shock the BMW actually sounds alright). Very disappointed no Silverstone 2024. FIA if you're reading just make them louder!
😍😍
2:08 best part
the sound on the video doesnt do justice to how loud and good these cars sound!
Bozzy those new Top View Fly-by shots are the best for sound, could you perhaps do some more of that!? Which cars impressed you the most?
I'll try to record more from there in the future ;) I'm always so fascinated by the look of the Peugeot. Perhaps my favorite of these new era of sports prototype racing. The Cadillac sounds really good but also does the Vanwall (especially on off-throttle)
@@19Bozzy92 Thanks bro, enjoy your summer season there.
Ari vidé chi! 👋🏻
The Cadilllac sounds nearly identical to the Garage 56 Camaro cup car.
so fast :)
If Vanwall is a thing, it would be cool to see BRM get back into racing.
The Vanwall surprisingly sounds very loud and high pitch
it uses a version of the gibson v8 upgraded from the lmp2 cars
7:33 Cadillac COMING ROUND THE BEND!
Testing for next 6hr of Fuji
7:20 NO CAP! CADILLAC!
FIA WEC Historic 2023...
This was during the 6h monza raceweek right?
Not all of the video as the bmw car never raced at Monza
@@lilquincy6292 but it was there to test just like issotta fraschini
@@MouseEvilBMW was a different day, the first seem of IF was during the 6 hour
Most of them are from the 6h weekend. Some clips are from a collective test day in May while others during a private test with BMW and Isotta at the beginning of August
@@19Bozzy92 thanks gor clearing up
Green one is the Lambo? The Cadillac has the best sound 😍
Unfortunately not, the green car is the Vanwall Hypercar, the Lamborghini is out testing ATM
Las 24 horas de Monza 🗿
Is it new? I thought Glick pullout already consudering they not go Fuji
It is. Most of the clips are from the 6h race in Monza of last month. Then a mix of collective tests in May and early August (BMW and Isotta)
R.I.P ,F1!
11:40
That vanwall deserves a better exhaust.
love peugeot
Bummer there is no Acura in Europe that’s the best sounding car in my opinion.
Wait for WTR and Andretti setup their base at EU to roll out WEC car. Right now they focus on IMSA
Great recording! I'm just sad that the Hypercars sound lame, in my honest opinion. All the Turbo V6 and V8 engines man... Just like F1's V6 as well, making me sad. The ones I enjoy hearing are the Cadillac and BMW. I can't wait for next year, as GT3 enters the WEC. The R8s, AMG GT3s, The 911 GT3 and the new Mustang GT3 are gonna make this up.
I doubt there will be any R8 in WEC next year, as Audi folded their works supported customer racing programme, and no customer team will have the money to finance a full WEC season alone. But the Lambo Huracan basically has the same engine, and there will be likely two of those on the grid. Ford Mustang not safe yet, depends on how many other manufacturers want in and how many grid spots will be on offer...Ford has no pedigree in WEC or GTE/GT3 racing, so they depend on the selection comittee by WEC. AMG also not safe...same as with Ford, no prior involvement with WEC in any way, so they might not get an invite. Porsche, Lambo, BMW, Ferrari, Corvette are pretty much locked in, then maybe Toyota/Lexus with the old RC-F GT3 as the new car won't be ready until 2025...Aston Martin, Mercedes, Ford, Honda maybe but all depending on how much space is available...the more Hypercars, the less GT3s we'll see, as the WEC full season grid is capped at 38 entries.
@@KaterChris Thx for the loads of info man! It's quite a bummer that there will be no R8s or unsure Fords and AMGs. To atleast hear a Huracan it's a relief on my side.
As for Hypercars, did Aston close their LMH Programm? I hoped to hear a V12 in Endurance Racing again too..
@@gunlyricsthe Vulcan is coming in 2025, it's actually happening this time!
@@Xiphactinus yes I heard from it too. You mean the Valkyrie right? Not Vulcan, that's a road car
Either way, finally proper engine sounds from the top class. And the cool thing is: Alpine's race car uses a similar to F2 engine, which sounds very cool too!
@@gunlyrics yeah I meant the Valkyrie, and I agree the Alpine's mecachrome engine sounds great. Hopefully it's blessed with some reliability.
I wish Ferrari have a V12 😪
Ferrari 😀♥️👌🇮🇹🇭🇺
Weird these Ferraris that don't sing
Those Toyota’s sound so boring and uninspired. So typically Toyota.
But they win every time
Yet they destroyed everyone...
Who cares it’s a forgettable car that will be forgotten when it’s all said and done. People will remember the Cadillac, Aston and the Porsche
@@motorsportfan1246 yes, keep thinking that, history remember the winners and the GR010 is a winner.
I can agree with the Caddy for the sound and the Valkyrie because its allready known street version, but don't count on it to be successful mostly being non hybrid.
But the 963?. Only a Porsche fanboy could say that nonsense, the same 963 that is getting destroyed by the Toyota and Ferrari in WEC plus the Caddy and Acura in IMSA?. Lmao!!😂😂...
Gotta love that caddy
Wheres V12 and V10 JUDD?
Give it another 2 years, the Valkyrie will be here.
Back in the 80s
@@kpcart Это было и в 90-х годах, сынок
JUDD, nice sound, mediocre engine at best...
