Nice reaction, great idea to call in Jean Baptiste... Speaking of her collaborating with other musical geniuses: She did a track with Hans Zimmer for the soundtrack of Sir David Attenborough's "Planet Earth 3", the song is called "Mother Nature" and definiely worth a listen, though RAYE is so good on her own, she don't need anyone to elevate her... Peace and love from BavaRAYEa! Have yourselves a merry little Christmas!
Hey Rana, are you really using that German expression over there? Just wondering if I'm missing a reference.. Have a great day, and happy new year to you, blessings, peace and love from Bavaria!
@ Yes, I’ve used it my whole life here in Australia. But I had no clue what it meant until I lived in Germany. It’s one of those words people say.. but have no idea why or what it means. 😆
@@ranahooke1907 That's funny, wonder how it sneaked into your language. Of course some German words made it into English where you lacked a term with that specific connotation like Angst or Kindergarten, but why wouldn't you just wish Good Health, or say Bless You! like they do in other parts of the world, it seems to be a thing in Australia, or maybe even in a certain area and population... Are there any more German words or expressions in the dialect you grew up with (which would indicate a relatively high percentage of German immigrants at the time the dialect formed), or is it just Gesundheit? Not important, but interesting... also I wasn't aware you had been living in Germany... For how long? Where in Germany? Peace out.
I've watched all the Tiny Desk Concerts on NPR dozens of times and this is one of the best they've done imo. P.S Shouldn't you say 'watermelon' before you sneeze?!?!
Yea I think we gotta do a Tiny Desk Marathon. I've been avoiding them because I think we could react to them, but we always get side tracked and end up doing other reactions. I end up not seeing any. This was really great. Sound mixing, vibe, talent all top notch.
Thanks heaps!! Really appreciate you checking the full thing!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@ranahooke1907 yea that was fun! Thank you Rana!

This was such a fun reaction of Raye, she seems so lovely and man can she control her instrument! Loved the groovy sounds too!

@@PeteFindsObscureStuff i've been watching tiny Desk concerts for a long time. It's more of an intimate and informal set up, but always sounds great.
