I'm interested to see how Kimi and Kira will be handled. Also happy to hear the Rugrats reboot seems to be doing well if it's getting two more seasons. I've recently watched 14 episodes of the reboot, and it's quite enjoyable. The CGI has effectively grown on me.
I doubt that's going to happen. Paul Germain, one of the creators, didn't like that Tommy and Chuckie having younger siblings effectively made them more like older children instead of babies. Since Kimi is now older than Chuckie in the reboot, doing that again would repeat the same story, in addition to being derivative of the original program. I enjoy Dil and Kimi as additions to the main cast in the original, but I'm perfectly fine with them avoiding the older sibling idea in the reboot if it means sticking true to the babies being babies.
I feel like the new characters (aside of Howard and Dil) that we have seen in the past that Erik Casmerio has mentioned could be characters from other Klasky Csupo Nick shows like The Wild Thornberrys and Rocket Power which would be my guess right
Is it just me, but I don’t really want dill in the reboot. Yes he thought the importance of brotherhood in the movie but besides that all he really did was cry call Angelica names and made Tommy’s parents busy
I bet we'll get to see a reversed roles version of Chuckie and Kimi's roles I do like the older and younger sibling Duo but I think reversal roles are just as special. It's cool to see Susie get more roles and appearances. The Kimi vs Angelica idea looks interesting. I hope we'll see Dil too and Howard and who else Dr Lipchitz? The other characters who appeared in the later seasons and episodes of Original Rugrats and first three seasons? I wouldn't mind some episodes with remake versions of them too.
And w/ Susie as a baby, it wouldn't make sense to have baby Kimi there, so they aged her up. In fact, K already didn't fit in, she was just another Tommy (she was brave and helped Chuckie to be brave).
@@SillyCreatureSally Kimi does share several differences from Tommy. She was generally more on the impulsive side, and was also a bit more premature when jumping into action. Some examples have her dragging Chuckie into a situation, while Tommy would at least talk Chuckie into going with him.
Everyone is angry that Kimi came back ages ago, and Dil isn't here. Well, I think de-ageing Susie plays a big role in this. It means Kimi had to be aged up. (I know Susie is the same, but come on. We don't want too many babies.) For the love of Tom Gates, people, there is a sizeable portion of the internet, including myself, who swoons over Jack Haley. And people who see that DON'T EVEN RAISE AN EYEBROW. Let Dil come later. His introduction would have been harder, I'm sure. From what I have seen in the official trailer, it won't rehash the movie. That's not how reboots work.
I hope dean brett big justin big binky harold frumpkin wise guy morgan crybaby doughboy bilenda prudence to become new main characters in later seasons
@@SillyCreatureSally People watched that clip out of context, and ran away with the idea that the writers relegated Kimi to background character status, and mysteriously wrote her as Angelica's rival, not realizing they're reestablishing the story but alternating it, just so they isn't an exact replica of the original series. You only have to watch the end of the episode to see that Kimi warms to Angelica very quickly, and only scolded Angelica for telling the babies to scram. The writers may have made changes, but they wouldn't make changes that defy, or insult the original's canon. Folks need to know that Kate Boutilier (the showrunner) is one of the writers of Rugrats in Paris. I think out of all people, she knows how important the story of Kimi becoming Chuckie's stepsister is. While all will be revealed in Season 2, I don't think Kimi frequently appears in the trailer for nothing, let alone Chaz meeting Kira at the end of the first season.
@@SillyCreatureSally Because those people read the words "Susie is a baby", and drew a conclusion that they diminished her. I'll have to admit that I was worried that they demoted her myself. But once I realized the reasoning for aging her down (Which Eryk and Kate did give proper context to), the idea grew on me. She hasn't changed as much as people think, with the dissimilarity being that she's a year younger, and part of the main cast, instead of being a recurring character. Sometimes, I forget they aged her down, and just assume that she's more of a mainstay this time around. Also, for Kimi, Susie already fills the position that Kimi once did (Even if Susie is basically the same character she was in the original), so it wouldn't make sense for Kimi to remain the same age. I know I'm farreaching, because I know Kimi helped Chuckie become braver, but I also think Kimi being older allows her the chance to become her own character, while still being positive, and spunky. I'm not saying Kimi wasn't a favorite of mine in the original, I loved her character in the old Rugrats series. But I'm thinking of the pros to come out of this.

I’m hoping that Kimi gets to be Chuckie’s now older sister in this season of the reboot!

@@fictionalmediabully9830 anything is possible! Dil was a younger brother as well!
I would love to see Kimi and Chuckie’s roles reversed because I think it would be an interesting twist

I can't wait to see this new Rugrats reboot series and Kimi and kira on Paramount+ it going to be awesome
Really glad kimi and Kira will have more of a recurring role in the upcoming season 2. Glad these characters are getting more love.
They're practically iconic characters, even though they were introduced when Rugrats was beginning to run out of ideas.

I recently just learned why that's your favourite episode. I now know to stay away from you.
I hope to see Dil again, if not in season 2, then at least season 3

Renewed for a 2nd and 3rd season? This further proves that these Nicktoons can have better viewership on streaming services than on cable.
I hope that Dil appear in Season 2.
Same
@@SillyCreatureSally Thank you for agreeing with me.
He did
@@coreypaterson3072 I already know.
Can't wait especially since we basically have confirmation Dil and Howard are coming sometime in either Season 2 or 3 of the reboot

Season 3 already? How big of a hit has the Rugrats reboot been?
Very. I helped orchestrate the renewal ;) (I'm that close with the crew)

Kimi is not Angelica's rival.
I hope Chas and Kira get married in the reboot
Me too, and I also hope kimi will be chuckie's sister, and Tommy's girlfriend in the reboot.
My prediction is that Dil walks for the first time
Now all that’s left are Howard and Dil

Well, Susie is a better fit for the baby group in my opinion. She's the smart one.
Kimi needs to have a spin off about her life as a ninja superhero starring Charlet Chung
