To get DIY-good at paint correction I feel happens kinda quickly. But to get professional quality takes a lot of practice. My girlfriend made fun of me for buying a hood to practice on every week thru the winter, but it got me comfortable enough to work on my car in the summer. I also used this hood to practice repairing rock chips, deep scratches, etc. totally worth it to me!
Hi Pan, I use the Sonax for my paint correction and just change pad for more or less cut. Yvan says not to use air pressure on a foam pad. I will say in my experience I really like the Sonax but I did find as the bottle aged on my shelf when I was getting to the bottom of the bottle I did get some dusting. That was before I learned from Yvan to keep your pad not only clean as you teach but also damp. I was changing out pads instead to keep a clean pad and it was always dry. Live and learn as they say. Thank you again Pan for all that you do. I have learned so much thank to you.
@@wichitpongarunruangchoke8507 Thank you for answering Danny's question. Yes a clean damp pad should be used on every new panel as you go. Wool pad for more cut, Typically yellow pad for medium cut and Red pad for polish light cut. Pan, Yvan, and Chelsea are my top 3 sources for the best teaching and information.
That's what I'm confuse about. I watches Yvan and decide to work with damp clean pads. Would like to use different pads and compound than DIY Detail offer. Can you please tell us what pads and coumpads are you using with Damp pad techniques. Thanks in advance
I used CarPro Fixer + CarPro Reflect combo last summer on my car before ceramic coating it. Reflect was awesome polish, long working time, low dusting and amazing gloss! Fixer got rid of the bigger defects with ease. Stellar work Pan as always❤.
I am a DIYer Since a young teen. I don't do it as an occupation but I do have as much if not more passion for my personal use. My personal favorite is Carpro Essence. Similar cut and Finish to Reflect, but it's a good primer before a coating. Wipes off super easy. I use it with white Rupes finishing pad for jeweling, or step up to yellow polishing pad if I have minor marring. Rupes Yellow fine polish has a bit more cut. They have The Uno Pure Ultra Fine in their line, which I think is their finishing polish to pair with the white pads. Havent tried that one yet.
Back in my early days of car detail in the mid 1980's, I purchased a 1959 Impala from a "barn find" with faded clearcoat but an overall beautiful car. A friend told me about a product he started using called Liquid Glass. Well after I compounded the car with a Turtle Wax compound, I used LG (all by hand, not a machine) I brought that faded paint back to showroom condition. I used LG until late 1990's.
Thoughts on Hyper Polish? Thought it might make the list since it's somewhat unique in the market with it's spray applicator (a little less unique now with DIY Gold Standard) but generally gets good remarks from OPT fans.
NV finesse polish is my absolute favorite and I would LOVE to see a review from you to hear your thoughts! Car Craft Auto Detailing turned me onto it and I was blown away. I’m a mobile detailer in Arizona and not only does it do well outside in direct sunlight, but it finishes amazingly on dark soft paints! The Last Cut+ and NV finesse is my go-to combo for 90% of my paint corrections.
Thanks for sharing! I have tested a few NV Car Care products in the past and they were quite good (ceramic coating, spray sealant and spray wax), so I have no doubt their polishes must be pretty good too.
I used to polish my own cars about 20-25 years ago. I just just tried again about a month ago. The new compound and pads make it so much easier. And with a DA, I don't even get close to burning my paint.
Pan, you said you prefer the DA. I don't know if you knew but the sonax perfect finish 04/06 shown here is polish made for rotary. Ex 04/06 is made for a DA and interestingly it's a lot cheaper (atlest in my area)

I am a major fan of Detail Kings products, an OEM company. In respect to compounds for one steps for light defects I go with Vibracut lite, 2 to 3 steps the Diamond cut series.
Hi Love your videos and teaching. Question. I own a 2022 Lexus GX460…. Paint is in excellent condition but it has minor scratches from the car wash and wear…… What should I use to make it look better and shinier? ALL IN ONE……. if so, which one? FINISH POLISH….if so, which one? And what foam pad for one or the other? Thank you.
Nice video Pan and we are so lucky to have so many amazing products. Every one of the products mentioned and many more will give you an amazing finish. Hopefully you guys are staying warm up there.
Since I have begun my detailing passion, I have made many mistakes in polishing. I have a 5” and 3” Rupes in my arsenal and a SPTA micro for tighter areas. (Sorry Rupes, just couldn’t justify the cost for an ibrid nano) I have learned to polish and to cut with compounds. I have even tackled some watering sanding. Definitely not for the faint of heart. My pad selection is varied, but most of polishing is simply refining. Removing some “spider” defects (most environmental) and rubs and spotting. And there are just many choices. You really do have to do some experimenting. I use Rupes, CarPro and Menzarno. My plan is to try some new ones soon. Thanks for the video Pan. Learned some stuff and also confirmed some stuff. Till the next one.
I would say for me Pan perfect finish works for me I come back to it every time my next polish that has worked for me is chemical guys VSS especially on Subaru paint!
Great video Pan off your list I only have asa 520 and Adam’s polish and compound other than that 3d1 p&s playmaker Koch chemie p6 Adam’s all in one and some others I have tried on my truck and trailer 😊👍
When you do your AIO video I hope you've vetted Vonixx Blend. It has replaces 3D Speed for me. Its a great way to get a decent amount of correction and a little protection at the same time. I'd put it over Rupes Uno Protect too.
@PanTheOrganizer i love this series! I have a question though. Do you have any video's or tips what to use to protect or seal motorcycle exhaust pipes and mufflers (not just the shiney chrome ones, since there are many kinds.) I'd love to know what your expertise would point us to. It's kind of difficult i think because the engine casing and pipes get hot, but i want to pretect them and apply some sealant to make maintenance washes easier. Thanks and keep being you!
Just compounded and polished my 2014 Porsche Cayman for the first time. Used Chemical guys compound and polish with a DA machine. Turned out great using their spray lube with their pads.

hey Pan thanks for the video... I was always under the impression that essence polish was good before applying a ceramic coating but it does leave some protection ... I m wondering if reflect is a better option for a coating.
Essence is good as a primer before applying CQuartz UK 3.0 as they have chemical compatibility. Not sure I would recommend Essence before applying coatings from other brands. So if you are applying a coating from a different brand, yes Reflect is a better polish choice. After polishing, don’t forget to wipe the paint with an IPA or paint prep spray. Then you apply the coating.
Awesome. I have the Perfect Finish from your previous recommendations. Going to be polishing my summer wheels which are black with tinted machine face, and of course, the black gets micro abrasions and scratches. Got the Chemical guys BallBuster wheel buffer for between spokes (dual 5 spoke design). Would you recommend the Perfect finish, or one of the other products for this purpose? Thanks.
Im using CarPro,Koch Chemie and Menzerna polish and compounds. So far very impressed from the Menzerna performance, but harder to clean compared to carpro or Koch. After trying so many pads brands ,now i stick to Koch Chemie,as i found them most durable, easier to clean and colour coding is just a extra .
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the amazing and informative content!I follow you for a year or so ,and I learned so many things thanks to you! Happy New Year!
Thanks Pan. Haven't used any of these u lined up. Being mobile i am always looking for something versatile, sun-friendly flexible and yet efficient for cut and finish. So i mostly use the onesteps, pad-dependent hybrid compound/polishes with no fillers. Excited to see the list u have under this category but some of my favorite ones: 3D-ONE, Scholl S20 Black and a couple of AiOs...
If you polish on a daily basis and always blownyour pads out, yes the forced air could potentially damage the cells in the foam. If you only polish a car or two a year, it’s of no concern.
I love the channel Pan and the new videos! One thing that would really help me is a video going over some options you have found to be good one step mild correction and polish. I don’t have time do do multiple corrections and polishes on my vehicles but would love to know some good pad and polish combos. I know you have mentioned it here and there but a designated video on specific pads with specific polishes would be awesome!

Thanks Pan you are awesome! And truly seem like a genuine good guy! I will check the video out forsure. I think your channel was recommended to me on RUclips a few years ago and I have been a subscriber ever since.
Of the polishes I've tried, my go to is Uno Pure. Not the Uno Protect with the added protection. I like the Uno Pure because it doesn't add anything, and has a long working time.
@@PanTheOrganizer I use it with the white foam pad on my own car, but I've used it with the yellow foam pad on my friend's car because he has more love marks.
Can I use Reflect finish polishing paste just to remove small scratches, like swirl marks? I want to get nice mirror effect before waxing. And can you, please, recommend polishing pads for light scratch polishing? Thank you!
Hi Pan, Many thanks for putting out this video. When a ceramic protection is put on a vehicle and let's say it guards for 12 months, then only washes can be done until after the 12 months, correct? And once the 12 months are over, would the 2nd stage of polish be appropriate-- not both, correct? I have another question about foam and non foam pads. How much compound should be used on either? I know you said not enough compound/lubricant may damage the paint? And if you buy a brand new car, is it recommended to to all the stages of compounds plus paint protection (ceramic/graphine)? Many thanks for answering my somewhat logical questions. I know they may be too simple to answer.
Hello Pan. Great video as always 👍 I have a question. If I'm not mistaken I believe I saw one of your videos about a polish that fies not require to remove before adding a wax, or coating. If there is a quality fine cut polish that allows me to put the wax on top, and acts as an adheiser please let me know. Thanks.
I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you mean by "a polish that fies not require to remove before adding a wax, or coating" ??? After polishing, you would do an IPA wipe before you apply a ceramic coating, to remove polishing oils and residue, and allow for a proper bond of the coating. Unless you use a polish primer (like CarPro Essence or Gyeon Primer) before you apply their compatible coatings on top (CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 or Gyeon Mohs for example). But that's a completely different discussion, and we'll talk about that in the upcoming video on all-in-one polishes. If your only goal is to apply a regular wax or paint sealant after you are done polishing, then it's not as important to do the IPA step. You could simply decide to apply the wax or paint sealant, as those only last a few months at best. They aren't designed for multi-year durability.
Hey Pan I'm a long time viewer love the channel. I'm looking for a video that covers polishes that have "fillers" and what they can actually fill with before and afters. I know if you can feel the scratch it's not going to be corrected but what's it look like after a filler polish. Maybe you can help.
You need an all-in-one type polish that has fillers and protection like Rupes Uno Advanced. See my video here: ruclips.net/video/0QJjnpCbG2Q/видео.htmlsi=x-2MK-wRqJxQj3MP
Pan, thank you for this latest video. I always look forward to all your videos. I'm working with a brand new cars finish and was recommended to use Sonax 4/6 Perfect Finish with the Rupes fine yellow finishing pads for my paint correction and polish. I'll be using a Griots Garage 15mm machine polisher in the process. I'm looking for the ultimate in gloss and clarity for my car that's located in northern California that will also be garage kept and never exposed to the elements or harsh environments. Basically a garage queen taken to cars & Coffee and an occasional outdoor car show. Maybe even taken on overnight trips out to the coast once or twice a year. Is there a super high gloss polish I can use following the Sonax Perfect Finish that might increase the gloss and clarity offered by the perfect finish?
Good morning pan! I've had great experiences with the sonax kotch chemi & 3D u have on display. Also sonax cut & finish is an excellent one step that finishes out beautifully. Cheers & merry Christmas!!
Thanks. So just to clarify, if paint correction is not needed and you are not applying a ceramic coating and you don’t want to reduce the clear coat you would apply a glaze to increase the gloss?
Happy New Year Pan, from SWOntario! Q-I have a ‘17 CR-V that I used a paint pen on various spots damaged by small stones from previous owner. The repairs probably not done properly-my fault! Can I correct these spots with compound & D/A polisher? Love you channel and your honest opinions of detailing! Merci!
Thanks Randy, happy new year to you as well. Polishing the touch-ups most likely won't remove that, unless you polish to a point where you'll make all the paint fail which you don't want. It's not a simple solution in your case unfortunately, and certainly not one that can be troubleshooted virtually without seeing the car. And it's beyond detailing at this point, it's more body shop /paint shop related. Your best bet would go to see a paint shot and ask their expert opinion. My impression based on what you are describing is only a full panel respray will solve this.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the fast reply!😄 Your diagnosis does not surprise me at all. The car is in excellent shape except for my small efforts, so it will still last a long time. All the best for this upcoming year and much-continued success!🙏
Thanks for the video Pan. I was just wondering if you ever tried Poorboys, Dodo juice or Monello. And what do you think about those brands for compound and pollish.
Any recommendations for Toyotas? I currently have a 21 4Runner with a bunch of wash swirls and an 08 rav4 with minor scratches(recently repainted). I’m leaning towards Carpro Reflect but wondering if people would suggest I look at another one.

Hi Pan, I have a 2024 Hyundai Tucson and wanted to apply a ceramic coating so I was wondering if you would still recommend polishing before applying ceramic coating since it's brand new and if so what brand would you recommend if I don't have a machine and plan on polishing by hand.
It's not a question or recommending to polish or not. The issue is more with the fact that most dealerships apply some cheap wax or sealant prior to delivery, and the only way to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection is by machine polishing. And to apply a coating, it's crucial that the surface is fully prepped, decontaminated, and free of any previous protection. That's why we normally polish a new car, as yes it can have defects even brand new, but mainly to ensure 100% clean virgin clear coat. A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: ruclips.net/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/видео.html So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: Mercedes S 580: ruclips.net/video/Vq_tfcwryVI/видео.htmlsi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: ruclips.net/video/OKga3yZVTqo/видео.html Volvo XC60: ruclips.net/video/tvDBBenhYFA/видео.html Tesla Model Y: ruclips.net/video/gohks8xP5NY/видео.html Porsche 911 Carrera: ruclips.net/video/2ckiivbFqs4/видео.html Mercedes AMG GT63S matte black: ruclips.net/video/eU8zg1lXvXY/видео.htmlsi=oGxoCp8PWt7gTncV Audi Q7: ruclips.net/video/t7HCBSVnizM/видео.html BMW M6 Gran Coupe: ruclips.net/video/0lC9uyKXs8Q/видео.html BMW M340i: ruclips.net/video/etXhJNaF0EE/видео.html Audi RS3: ruclips.net/video/641mAJfKDLM/видео.html Golf R: ruclips.net/video/jr19g4PWJsk/видео.html

All of these would work, but after you polish, always use a panel prep spray or IPA solution to remove polishing oils, before you apply the ceramic coating.
Hey Pan, I’m getting ready to do a paint correction however I have paint chips down to the metal in some spots… What would you recommend to do with them?
It depends what touch up paint kit you use. See what they recommend. But usually you do paint correction first, then apply the touch paint. Wait the required time for the paint to cure and then apply your wax or sealant.
Hi Pan. Thank you for all the videos you make, it has been helping me alot in my journey to become a professional detailer. You mentioned the scholl concepts compounds and polish. We have these products in South Africa and Scholl concepts are awesome products.

The skill gap in being a high skill paint corrector is mind boggling. You watch a video of someone using a DA and say, Oh that's it? That looks easy. There is a huge gap between beginner and expert in this. There is so many variables and tricks and feel etc etc. It's absolutely not easy. The act of moving a polisher may be, but getting results and a beautiful vehicle isn't. It takes practice. Unfortunately most people don't have endless paint to learn on. I started with my own and then offered to do my wifes, family and friends. Still not an expert but there is no question trial, error and practice is needed. There is a reason a legit company is going to charge you $1000 to $3000 for a quality paint correction. You're not paying for the $80 worth of pads and polish. You're paying for the skill that 99 percent of people don't have.
Well said. It takes time and practice to become great at polishing and yes hopefully when people watch my videos and other detailing channel videos they can appreciate just how much hard work goes into detailing vehicles at a high level. A ceramic coating job costs a lot not because of applying the coating (that’s actually the easy part), but because of all the prep that comes before that, including proper paint correction.
Yeah there’s a detailing channel that talks about actually working at a slower polishing speed. I put their advice in action with Sonax PF and Gyeon Evo Pure = turned out wild!!!
I have a new car with a microscopic spider webs, from an auto carwash and am thinking on not doing it but have a pro do it. May I’ll shop the car to Canada for PanTheOrganizer to do it 😂
Only way is to do tests. But don’t overthink the moment on paint hardness. Focus on finding the right compound/polish and pad combination for your specific level of desired paint correction. Generally speaking, German paints are harder than soft Japanese paint like Toyota.
Been awhile panda man I should save this one for later when I get my car not been detailing for about a year smashed up my beauty driving around in an old wreck but still keep tabs on you great to see you're still going at it have a good Christmas remember wax on wax off
Paint sealants are different from carnauba waxes. See my popular video on the differences between the major forms of paint protection here: ruclips.net/video/4ejfPHan3k4/видео.htmlsi=DXm49t0igJbev9az
Are all of these good on darker paints? I have a metallic gray paint, but it's very soft (Mazda). I've heard that some compounds and polishes can damage the softer paint jobs, but I don't know how true that is.
Pan I am noticing a faint clouding deep from the surface of my car after waxing which is driving me nuts trying to get rid of! I've carefully and thoroughly clayed prior to applying wax but the faint cloudiness remains. I've researched that a glaze applied after claying can repair areas of clearcoat issues through which haze or cloudiness can show through. I am assuming this is my situation. I am advised to apply my wax layer on top of the glaze layer to eliminate all signs of cloudiness. Is this my best course of action? Thank you very much for your advice!
What are your thoughts on the Menzerna Polishing system? It has multiple heavy, medium, and finishing products along with corresponding pads. Has anyone used them? They are less expensive.
Pan - If I am attempting to remove a 3yr old ceramic coating ( CSL ) and have no major defects will a Polish such as Sonax PF featured here work ? Thank you as always.

Hey Pan! Thank you for making this a mini series. I've been hoping for this for a few months haha. I went by a Ford dealership yesterday man. I spoke with a gentleman that works in the body shop. He's been there for 13 years. He said of the 3 types of paint hardness, mine is in the middle. What compounds and polishes are your favorite for moderate paint, sir?
It's impossible to say, as that also depends on the level of desired paint correction. Those are questions nobody can really answer without doing panel tests. As if I say use this, and it doesn't work for you, then you'll be left wondering haha. Paint correction is another beast of a topic. It requires time, practice, and panel tests to figure out the proper compound/polish and pad combo for your specific paint, specific level of defects and desired outcome. No two people have identical situations. I hope you can appreciate that. But certainly, a good starting point would be trying any of the compounds and polishes and pads in this series of videos, they are all top quality, and will get the job done for sure. It's fine tuning and getting higher up in the correction level that requires the testing.
@@PanTheOrganizer I understand Pan. I'm just trying to be budget friendly with trying to find something suitable. But like you said, you'll never really know which is the best assortment until you try several. Paint correction is definitely a big variable 😅 But I will take your advice and choose one from this series. I'll stick with the same brand for pads, compound, and polish for the sake of streamlining. If I can hit 85 - 90% correction, I'll be satisfied.
Pan I think you have Sonax Ceramic Spray already. I think I saw it in one of your videos, if not it's easy to use and smells really good. I sometimes use it on the go for quick detailing.
1. My cars are daily drivers and I only ever do single-stage polishing. Simply don’t have the desire/time to perform two-stage polishing. All I’ve ever used in Sonax perfect finish. Works like a charm every time.
Hi Pam, I am a noobie and bought the 3d aca500 and aca520 to paint correct my truck. It’s a 2008 Toyota tundra. Plan on using griots g9. I’m having trouble finding the right pads to use. What do you suggest? Thank you!

I've used Koch Chemie M302 on soft Honda paint, and it worked very well. Very pleased. Question: what to do on fiberglass? Corvette in particular. Also fiberglass on newer cars front ends. Can't measure the paint with paint depth gauge. Can't afford thousands on a more expensive all measurements gauge. How can you go about appraising the paint? Don't want to remove too much clearcoat. Great video Pan.
I had to do a boat the other day that had heavy oxidation and used the Meguiars 67 that finished very well with a rotary polisher with the Purple pad WRFC7. Didnt have to do a polish after as the gloss was amazing.
It’s a polish so it will correct minor swirls and scratches. If you swirls are really bad you’d have to start with a compound and cutting pad first, and then move to a polish and polishing pad.
Spoilt for choice, such good products around 👌. I like using Micro cut and it works well, last used it on a MX-5 in a dark blue and it finished the paint like glass, threw over some cancoat on and applicator block and suede rather then squirt into a microfiber. The level of beading and gloss was like it was dripping. 🎉
Hello Pan I’m struggling to find a quality brand & supplier for quick connect nozzles for my short pressure g@n. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ❤
Hey Pan, how often can you polish a car? I bought a Mazda MX-5, known for having thin clearcoat, and want to keep it for as long as possible and not run out of paint. I polish by hand, can I do that every year forever?
There's not fixed amount of time as every make and model is different, and no two cars have the same paint thickness, even the same model in different model years can have different paint and different thickness. Once a vehicle is properly paint corrected, if you use safe washing and drying methods you shouldn't have to polish the paint for 1-2 years or more. Preserving as much clear coast as possible is very important. If you want to know how much paint you have to work with, you'd get a paint thickness gauge. See my video here: ruclips.net/video/UqtwR_i5WK4/видео.htmlsi=OsPAruZGYTqgMXxC
It will be featured in my upcoming video about hybrids, as it can be used as a compound or polish depending on pad selection. So it's very versatile. :)
You don’t polish a ceramic coated car as that would remove the coating. If you use safe washing and drying methods, you shouldn’t have to polish a coated car for years. There’s only one polish that can correct very minor defects on a coated car, it’s CarPro Essence+ (not the regular Essence). More on that in my upcoming all-in-one polishes video.

Pan I need your view I have done ceramic job today applied double coat of Cq UK 3.0 car was in my garage for almost 8 hours after that then customer pick it up but it was raining where he lives 😅 so he called me to check what happens now so what’s your view is coating still safe or not..?
I can't do much to help you. CarPro requires 24 hours of curing without exposure to water or rain. You would have to contact them to see what they recommend at this point. For sure it's not a good thing.
I wouldn't recommend such a high pH soap for regular weekly washes. All you need is a pH neutral shampoo. Once in a while you can use the Bilt Hamber to do a deeper cleaning and to remove road film, if your coating has the chemical resistance to withstand it. Here's how I do a regular wash on my ceramic coated car: ruclips.net/video/X0msqeozDBU/видео.htmlsi=oHW5HOJyUfuSHH9l

Yo girl tripping she ain’t seeing the vision 😬
Hi Pan, I use the Sonax for my paint correction and just change pad for more or less cut. Yvan says not to use air pressure on a foam pad. I will say in my experience I really like the Sonax but I did find as the bottle aged on my shelf when I was getting to the bottom of the bottle I did get some dusting. That was before I learned from Yvan to keep your pad not only clean as you teach but also damp. I was changing out pads instead to keep a clean pad and it was always dry. Live and learn as they say. Thank you again Pan for all that you do. I have learned so much thank to you.
@_DannyG Yvan always mention damped pad will give you more cut.
Thanks Charles!
@@wichitpongarunruangchoke8507 Thank you for answering Danny's question. Yes a clean damp pad should be used on every new panel as you go. Wool pad for more cut, Typically yellow pad for medium cut and Red pad for polish light cut. Pan, Yvan, and Chelsea are my top 3 sources for the best teaching and information.
what do you use to damp the pads? does this apply to mf pads and wool pads as well?
That's what I'm confuse about. I watches Yvan and decide to work with damp clean pads. Would like to use different pads and compound than DIY Detail offer. Can you please tell us what pads and coumpads are you using with Damp pad techniques. Thanks in advance
I used CarPro Fixer + CarPro Reflect combo last summer on my car before ceramic coating it. Reflect was awesome polish, long working time, low dusting and amazing gloss! Fixer got rid of the bigger defects with ease. Stellar work Pan as always❤.

Been using meguiars ultimate polish for years with good results. Bottle is almost done so might try a new polish in the spring
Yup! So much safer today. And technology has advanced a lot through the decades to a point where compounds/polishes/pads are better than ever.
I really like the AMMO X foliate. Larry hit a homerun. You need to try it if you haven't already.
I haven’t
Pan, you said you prefer the DA. I don't know if you knew but the sonax perfect finish 04/06 shown here is polish made for rotary. Ex 04/06 is made for a DA and interestingly it's a lot cheaper (atlest in my area)
Hello Pan, I had this same question. Sonax says their Ex is specifically designed to work with DA polishers and Perfect Finish is for rotary.

Great video. Have you ever tried Phoenix eod Papa cut or Fabulous? 2 of our favorite/ go to combo.
Yes but I haven’t had much experience with them yet so I wait before making my opinion. Phoenix EOD in general makes excellent products for sure.
Thanks Wayne!! I hope you'll have some great holidays!
I would say for me Pan perfect finish works for me I come back to it every time my next polish that has worked for me is chemical guys VSS especially on Subaru paint!

When you do your AIO video I hope you've vetted Vonixx Blend. It has replaces 3D Speed for me. Its a great way to get a decent amount of correction and a little protection at the same time. I'd put it over Rupes Uno Protect too.
I haven’t tested Vonixx polishes yet.
I am using Meguiar's M - 210 as a hand polish that seems to work well, but I would be curious as to how it would compare to the others mentioned here.

hey Pan thanks for the video...
All about the Zvizzer range of compounds and pads for me.

Pan! Thank you for all of your continued advice and wisdom. Ivan stated air tools damage the foam cell membrane, what are your thoughts on this?
If you polish on a daily basis and always blownyour pads out, yes the forced air could potentially damage the cells in the foam.
If you only polish a car or two a year, it’s of no concern.
I love the channel Pan and the new videos!

Hi Pan,
Many thanks for putting out this video.

Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!
Thanks. So just to clarify, if paint correction is not needed and you are not applying a ceramic coating and you don’t want to reduce the clear coat you would apply a glaze to increase the gloss?
Yes. But a glaze doesn't offer much protection, so I would still apply at least a wax on top.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks. I understand

- vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc
- vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements
- at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches
- at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery.
I explain all of this in this popular video: ruclips.net/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/видео.html
So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers:

Are these polishes good to do a ceramic coat?
All of these would work, but after you polish, always use a panel prep spray or IPA solution to remove polishing oils, before you apply the ceramic coating.
Hey Pan, I’m getting ready to do a paint correction however I have paint chips down to the metal in some spots… What would you recommend to do with them?
It depends what touch up paint kit you use. See what they recommend.
But usually you do paint correction first, then apply the touch paint. Wait the required time for the paint to cure and then apply your wax or sealant.

That's not my area of expertise unfortunately. You'd have to ask a paint/body shop expert.
Can you link that video
I have a new car with a microscopic spider webs, from an auto carwash and am thinking on not doing it but have a pro do it.
May I’ll shop the car to Canada for PanTheOrganizer to do it 😂
Hello Pan, do you know what type of clear coat the BMW 2024 m240 is if it’s hard or soft. Or even BMWs in general? Thank you pan!!
Only way is to do tests. But don’t overthink the moment on paint hardness. Focus on finding the right compound/polish and pad combination for your specific level of desired paint correction.
Generally speaking, German paints are harder than soft Japanese paint like Toyota.
Been awhile panda man I should save this one for later when I get my car not been detailing for about a year smashed up my beauty driving around in an old wreck but still keep tabs on you great to see you're still going at it have a good Christmas remember wax on wax off
Merry Christmas!
Hi another question is the sealemt better or the paste wax ? Which is the best recommended product?
Paint sealants are different from carnauba waxes. See my popular video on the differences between the major forms of paint protection here: ruclips.net/video/4ejfPHan3k4/видео.htmlsi=DXm49t0igJbev9az
Ewocar polish can do a review on that? I’m in the states and I would like to try Ewocar polish but it’s not available in the US.
Another great video! enjoyed it and as always learned from it. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you! I hope you had a good Christmas Chris!
Are all of these good on darker paints? I have a metallic gray paint, but it's very soft (Mazda). I've heard that some compounds and polishes can damage the softer paint jobs, but I don't know how true that is.
All of these will work. You just have to do a few tests to see which ones give you the expected results for your specific paint.
The car has a beautiful metallic/candy apple red paint job which has been well maintained.
What are your thoughts on the Menzerna Polishing system? It has multiple heavy, medium, and finishing products along with corresponding pads. Has anyone used them? They are less expensive.
I used a few of them years ago and they were quite good. Not as easy to find here though. I think they are more popular in Europe.
Pan - If I am attempting to remove a 3yr old ceramic coating ( CSL ) and have no major defects will a Polish such as Sonax PF featured here work ? Thank you as always.
Yes that should be enough.
I really like DIY Detail's gold standard polish with the 3 pad system. Have you reviewed them before? I would love to see it.
The DIY Detail will be in my upcoming hybrids and one steps video as it’s very versatile. Stay tuned.
I made a video about polishing tips with the boys from DIY Detail here: ruclips.net/video/b9KDpKMmAi0/видео.htmlsi=pY67WYTnsQGMx9zV
Oh nice! Can't wait. @PanTheOrganizer
Paint correction is definitely a big variable 😅
But I will take your advice and choose one from this series. I'll stick with the same brand for pads, compound, and polish for the sake of streamlining. If I can hit 85 - 90% correction, I'll be satisfied.
😁👍🏻 Tell me which one(s) you tested and how it goes. ;)
@@PanTheOrganizer Yessir. I sure will. Merry Christmas Pan!
What about Pinnacle advanced finishing polish? This has worked well for me on black cars.
I haven't tested those.
Pan I think you have Sonax Ceramic Spray already. I think I saw it in one of your videos, if not it's easy to use and smells really good. I sometimes use it on the go for quick detailing.
Yes I have it. :)
Thank you!
You’re in luck, I will have a pad recommendations video coming soon, as a part of this series.
In the meantime, see my previous video here: ruclips.net/video/2JDvQBs1viM/видео.htmlsi=FgdsaF_ZiQqCDtxO
@pan the organizer, what is your take on the Gyeon polishes? Thanks
I don’t have enough experience with them to comment, but from what I hear from Gyeon certified detailers, they are quite good.
Thanks!😀👋👍
Would Carpro Reflect work good to get rid of swirls?
It’s a polish so it will correct minor swirls and scratches. If you swirls are really bad you’d have to start with a compound and cutting pad first, and then move to a polish and polishing pad.
Spoilt for choice, such good products around 👌. I like using Micro cut and it works well, last used it on a MX-5 in a dark blue and it finished the paint like glass, threw over some cancoat on and applicator block and suede rather then squirt into a microfiber. The level of beading and gloss was like it was dripping. 🎉
😁👍🏻
Hello Pan
I’m struggling to find a quality brand & supplier for quick connect nozzles for my short pressure g@n.
Pan, Guyz any videos on detailing laptops, more specially macbook screen keyboard etc
DIY Detail Polish is just a beast
It will be featured in my upcoming video about hybrids, as it can be used as a compound or polish depending on pad selection. So it's very versatile. :)
Just in time. I was lokking into this very topic today!
Glad it was helpful!
Yo Pan, aside from the Sonax, any other polishes you recommend for light polishing thanks man
Anyone of the ones I mentioned in this video you can test and see if it works for your specific paint.
@@PanTheOrganizer Right, thanks Pan
Which paint correction is best and safe to use with car with ceramic coating applied?
You don’t polish a ceramic coated car as that would remove the coating.
If you use safe washing and drying methods, you shouldn’t have to polish a coated car for years.
There’s only one polish that can correct very minor defects on a coated car, it’s CarPro Essence+ (not the regular Essence). More on that in my upcoming all-in-one polishes video.
I've found the Adams blue compound and the Adams white polish works well for me
Cool. What pads do you use with them?
Lake country orange to cut and SPTA red to finish polish
I love Lake Country pads, especially their CCS Foam line and HDO.
I use two pads for compound and polish doing an entire vehicle with no issues so for me it's fine..
Hey brother pan. Of topic question. Can turtlewax pure wash be used on a matt paint car
In theory yes as it’s a pure soap with no additives, but I didn’t try on matte paint. Perhaps check with Turtle Wax to make sure.
@PanTheOrganizer thank you I thought the same but I will reach out to turtle wax
Another great video. Please keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
would you say that carpro is good to use in sun?
Hi Pan. Do you have acces to 3M perfect it and mirka polarshine product to make a review from your professional experience ?
If I get enough viewer requests for it, perhaps one day.
Thank you. I hope so because you make very good reviews. Best regards from Belgium.
Thanks! How did you discover my channel by the way?
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips as we surpassed 975,000 subscribers and we have over 132 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks Pan I would do that
Can your use these on a 2yr old ceramic coating and finish with what product for shine
Great summary! 2024 is your year to hit 1M subs! Cheers.
Thank you! I hope you had a great Christmas!
