The chance that it actually works well is small. The EMALS is very energy intensive. That means if used as auxiliary carrier they will run out of fuel in a day. Especially if it is getting energy based weapons too in the future.
I heard it's powered with hybrid engines but I don't know what that means.. that's true.. without nuclear power, the EMALS would drain the entire ship power in just days.. and right now, China hasn't gotten into nuclear powered flattop technology yet..
sink under the radar I guess.. since Indo Defence 2022, there's no follow up for this equipment anymore.. for me, I think it's better to buy HIMARS than this anyway.. it's lighter, more tactical, and compatible with our existing transport, ie C-130J..

yes.. and for me it's innovative too.. combining CATOBAR config on LHA is brilliant idea.. if only the US Navy's LHA like the America class is using similar concept, they can operate the bigger F-35C instead of the B model..
