@@Bushradical Summer is going just fine. Have not got out for any major backwoods trips yet this summer as it has just not worked out but all in all it is a great summer. It looks like I will be a co-instructor at a "survival" course free to the public at a church in the Wasilla area in July. Nothing is nailed down yet on details. There is another totally separate "bushcraft" gathering that will also be in the Wasilla area in latter July that I hope to attend though not as an instructor. I may or may not be sharing details on both gatherings in upcoming videos depending on what I learn as details become available. Once again I'll throw out there the offer for you folks to stop by our place and say howdy if you ever are down our way this summer. You folks are always welcome. Connie or I don't foresee any trips up North this summer, at least so far. Hope you two have a great summer.

Wow! This past Saturday evening, I was heading north on an interstate in Michigan, and seemingly out if no where, a young buck ran right in front of my little economy car, he was so close i could not see all his hooves! I tapped my brakes and he barely cleared the front of my car! I prayed before I left on my little trip, so that was a miracle! I am so sorry you suffered through all of that! That deer might have saved your life before that tire blew. A little duct tape and you're good to go. My last drive to Alaska was way back in 89 from eastern PA. The most exciting things about my trip were the tornado on I-80 in NE near the WY border (hid under an overpass as it went right over us. 8"s of hail covering the road too.) and my manual trans going in the mountains 150 miles from Dawson Creek. Limped there stuck in 3rd gear. Darned if there wasn't a Ford dealership there with a trans for the stang for only $500 after the exchange rate. A 4spd manual 79 Mustang with over 250k miles on it. The best way to get the old urethane/butyl tape off is by heating the razorblade. You broke in the new windshield quickly with big bloody bug splatter. Road trips are great...

I had no film with me at the time. I was lucky enough to see the tornado heading right at me as I approached the overpass. Then the hail fell and it got very dark and loud. How you guys were able to fix your car's roof was great...

Hi Dave, sorry the trip didn't go smoothly bud, but I can relate though. When I lived in Wyoming, I had to go from Douglas, WY. to Sheridan, WY. and had an antelope come out of nowhere at around 11 pm at night and it jumped into my windshield in about the same place that deer hit your windshield, although the antelope flew up and over the car after it hit the windshield, so no other windows got broken. This happened in January and it was below zero out. Of course, nothing was open at that time (no cell phones back then either), so I put on my winter clothes for work and drove the car with the shattered windshield the rest of the way at about 30 mph, but I got there several hours later. Anyway, glad you didn't get hurt bud, Rock On!

As a driving instructor I have some helpful information. Last time I went to Alaska I saw over 50% of the vehicles with some type of crack in the windshield. Anytime you have a crack in your windshield it compromises the structural integrity of the windshield. I am not sure if this gentleman had any cracks in his windshield but if you do have cracks in your windshield it can make the damage far greater. You should try to always get a new windshield or fix any rock chips that could turn into a crack. Also, if you have a crack in your windshield and a rock gets flipped and hits the crack it could actually go through the crack into the cabin.

I came across your travel adventure vlog through my feed.
I have driven the MI to Skagway AK via the trans-Canadian Highway but in a fluorescent orange painted transit bus. What a 9 day trip!
You’re so right about the people in Saskatoon. I ran out of diesel 600 feet from a station. A guy and his buddy paid for the tow, hotel, engine service and a full tank of fuel plus dinner and breakfast for my family of five. I call them road angels. This guy’s friend even spent the night in the bus to guard our household goods!
    Thanks for posting this video.

Why would he thank the lord for wrecking his car?
If the Lord had any hand in protecting him, why not stop the deer from crossing the road just then?
Of course then the Lord would have not gotten any thanks for saving anyone. You know, your Lord is a jerk. He killed a deer and wrecked this guy's car just to get you to thank him.

The thing about people like you is you're way too simple minded, and the thought of reading the book, and asking Christians to help you understand it, never enters your hollow skulls.
So you mock God which is not a good idea, you also mock Christians, and you can't grasp the fact that what you believe is far more "supernatural" in that your explanation is like paying $200 to see a magic act, only the tricks and magic don't even have a magician!
Now THAT is blind faith I wish more Christians possessed!
What Christians believe is backed by the book which is backed by observable scientific evidence in geography, history, and prophecy.
All these things are observable! Even the parts people like you can't understand, such as the Exodus.
People have been trying to discredit the Bible for thousands of years and have failed miserably! That's because it's all true!
Now compare that to what YOU believe -
We came from wet rocks. A magical highly complex single cell just magically popped itself into existence, again, without a magician!
Then there's the who NOTHING exploded for no reason in spite of causality and "somehow" became TIME - SPACE - MATTER - and LIFE.
All that and no magician! And YOU mock Christians??!! LOL!
Perhaps you're not as uninformed as you appear to be, so I'll ask you two simple questions, let's see how you do.
      1) How do we get a single cell without first having fully formed, fully functioning, pre programmed DNA?
      2) How do we get DNA without first having a fully formed, fully functioning, pre programmed single cell?
Now I know a knowledgeable person like yourself has got to know how all that worked, because otherwise, you're going on pure faith completely lacking in any scientifically observable evidence, you simply wanted to believe it!
The reason bad shit happens is because we, people like you, reject God, and instead you go with blind faith.
So God's doing what every responsible parents do, when the teenagers become belligerent, mouthy and completely disrespectful, the parents kick their sorry asses out the door when they learn how their lives turn to hammered shit without mommy and daddy supporting, feeding, clothing, handing over cash and credit cards, buy and pay for cell airtime, computers and on and on.
God has every right to have completely left us 100% alone to show us what happens when man is in charge!
We've screwed up everything we touch, and are on the verge of total nuclear inhalation!
We murder, we steal, commit adultery, engage in bum bandito activity, we fight and cheat each other, we murder babies in and now out of the womb, and on and on and on...
But He hasn't abandoned Him, we've abandoned Him! And He still intervenes now and then just to slow us down enough to where their'll still be some of us left alive when He returns to judge the mockers, like you, and to get the planet back to it's original state of paradise!!
So, I won't hold my breath as far as those two simple questions go, I know for a fact you can't answer them, and you obviously don't even understand them!
You better get right with the Lord, because none of us are guaranteed a single second and could drop dead any second!
Once you take your last breath over here, and your first over there, it's too late, it's signed, sealed, and delivered!!
      Roll those dice Champ!
      Jack - Canada

I flipped my 4Runner, north of Watson Lake, near Ross River in 1998. Wife, Daughter and dog were in the car, all fortunately OK, despite being whipped around. Canadian passers by were gracious and helpful. Our dog was particularly traumatized. Did not even know I had a minor injury. But... it could have been worse. A mile in either direction the road had high steep shoulders and we would not have made it. We were able to flip the truck over and limp back to town. Truck was not repairable, or not worth repairing, as parts were far away. Perhaps the hardest part was getting out of Watson lake as bus and charter air service had been discontinued. And back into the USA with a dog whose papers were lost. But... it could have been worse and grateful to get out relatively unscathed - family and pup especially. Good people in Watson Lake too. Oh... my wife drove an Escort wagon for years! Glad this worked out, that you were OK, and could continue your journey. Maisie too! Canadians always impress with their decency.
