@@bisesantihok From looking on other pages who did react to the Israeli song, there were a lot of positive comments. Too bad these influencers and RUclipsrs are so afraid of the algorithm.
she mentioned in another video that she wanted to avoid the possible drama that might have happened due to the situation of Israel and Palestine, but Georgina is a kind person and she honestly said that Israel's song is very nice. I am from Lithuania and Israel's song is for sure my top 2nd. My number one this year is Ireland, because the performance is so phenomenal, but Israel is surelly the best vocalist this year. I am sorry that your country gets so much hate and negativity, Edan is there to stand strong and proud for you all
Strong semi final. Eden Golans vocals are out of this world. I am also glad to see better vocal performances from Belgium, Czech and Austria, because I really like those songs. And yes, I feel the same with Estonia. I didn't like it in the beginning, then it grew a bit on me but seeing this staging shifts it to the bottom for me again
☁️🤍Lovely reaction of Israel, how you explained the vocals. Interesting to hear from a vocal expert. I also love the part when she sings the word 'Broken' in a different way from the rest of the sentence.
Nutza from Georgia, Marina from Greece and Raiven from Slovenia are up there with them though. They are the 5 strongest female vocalists of the competition this year. On the male side France, Latvia, Switzerland and Australia are the strongest.
Surprised to see you including Israel after you obviously skipped that during the songcheck videos. I have to say, that takes a lot of courage these days.
Thank you for including Israel. So sorry you're getting backlashes fot doing that. And if United by Music means anything at all, it should be obviouse that People, singers and songs are not their goverments.
Latvia actually has two off stage backing vocalists (not on the backing track) - the producer of the song Liam Goddes, and Chris Noah (Latvian singer-songwriter, the writer of Lithuanian entry for 2023)
for Latvia there are actually 2 backing singers backstage (Chris Noah (wrote a song for Lithuania last year) and Liam Geddes (co-wrote this years song for Dons))
Thank you for appreciating Israel and not going with this stupid boycott hivemind. Very nicely done. Israel has one of the best eurovision act in recent years. Visually & vocally
For me, the true winner is without any doubt, Israel's entry Hurricane by Eden Golan. Whoever agrees, like or comment back please. We need the world to realize that music is a universal language that is there to unite us and things such as politics shouldn't effect the way we judge this epic musical masterpiece that takes on a journey filled with pure emotion!
Have in mind that according to the rules the backing vocals on the MAIN singer voice have also to be live. The recorded backing vocals are permitted only in case they don't support directly the main voice.
I really miss just pure live vocals. It made Eurovision sound different. But not everything sounds like the studio versions almost exactly and it's just boring
💙🤍Even though I don't agree with everything you said, I am still grateful that you shared your opinions in a respectful and not too aggressive way. Thank you for including Israel. I wish other people would not be so closed-minded and mean.
I'm not sure about Norway. Her dress, frantic moving and the lighting made me think of a witch in a bog. I like Armenia (despite the lack of lyrics) and Israel.
Your opinion on Greece being messy is very valid , its just the way you worded your response in the reaction video felt like an attack. You were constantly criticising the mv when it's a song competition not a music video competition and u were unnecessarily mean I think that's why a lot of people were against u. But at the end of theday everyone has their own opinions. That's the beauty of eurovision isn't it? A whole continent represented through music. M A R I N A PAME PUT YO HANDS UP
I agree on the backing vocals. It's within the rules as they are, but it feels like cheating. I feel like any pre-recorded backing vocals shouldn't be the main artist singing the main melody, because that should be live.
The Netherlands aren't showing their best. This song is very personal the Joost and his team have been talking about something very big for the eurovision performance. They have also trolled the fans a lot and tesed a lot of stuff. I heard he was also not happy when he heard that they had to show clips for rehearsals as he himself has said he wants the performance to be a surprise. So I don't think we should judge it just yet..
If it's anything to do with augmented reality, then unfortunately, I don't think it's going to save this performance. It's already been done in other national finals, which entries didn't make the cut. I think people are expecting something mammoth because of all the hype, and if it doesn't come up with the goods, it will potentially flop.
A lot of backing vocals indeed. My country ( Lithuania ) with Silvester Belt uploads a lot of tiktoks from the woman that is the backing vocal, and she also uploaded a tiktok that she recorded during the semifinal performance, so she is somewhere behind the stage or aside of it? And she is barelly heard during the chorus. I even asked her why can't we hear her and she said " I just assist him, I dont need to overyell him " but I honestly dont hear any supporting female backing vocal at all during Luktelk performance.
I'd love to see people singing live. I am surprised with Nemo's backing vocals - he is totally able to sing this song on his own. Maybe for the rehearsals they are using backing vocals so that artists don't wear off the voice before the actual show? I hope for more live vocals during the competition. Nemo is among my winners (along with Croatia and Norway) and I'd love to hear him sing - he totally can do it :)
hi georgina i think you may have referenced my comment at the beginning. while it makes sense for entries that risk not qualifying to show their goodies in the 30s clips (such as ireland, malta etc) to get the viewers at home excited, some countries that are on the safer side may want to keep some suspense (like switzerland, the netherlands etc) much love ❤️
I'm not font of backing/ pre-coreded vocals (I had the same opinion with Madonna's tour as well), however I understand that singing and performing at the same time it's a struggle! Sometimes artists losing their breath or gasp. I'm not a fun of autotune as well... :/
also maybe regarding the added vocals, i think it's because they make the show more entertaining rather than feeling like an x factor audition. its hard to move around and sing so i personally would rather have a few extra vocals to boost the song than have 15 static entries where they just focus on their vocals. after all good show = more money so that's what they care most about
It would definitely be much more challenging (and possibly fun) to have backing vocals sing live on the stage, but the ESC has the limit of only 6 or 7 people in total being on the stage. That would pose a problem for those having a whole choir as backing vocals ( e.g. in 1999. Croatia was stripped off the points and was placed 7th instead of 4th for they had a backing choir vocal recorded). So the ESC would first have to change the rules. As for these snippets, I think it would be far more interesting if the rehearsals were kept secret and we would only see the final product at the semis and finals.
Put together a very capable baritone, tenor, alto and soprano (dramatic or coloratura, whichever required for the score), and a quartet can be just as effective and capable if they've been given specific harmonies. Although, putting very capable backing vocalists up against some entries would probably just enhance the fact that some of the entries are performers, but not singers, and that's something I'm sure some of them would rather avoid drawing attention to lol.
Woww! You have to react to the all 37 rehearsals! Eurovision uploaded video in the offical channel of all 37 rehearsals! Its gonna be fun to watch that! Thank you Georgina for this beatifull video again! ☺️
Well guess what dear Georgina. The backing vocals you hear on the Greek song is the backing vocalist of Marina Satti, Erasmia which is working with marina satti since 2016 and it is in the back of the stage singing live together with Marina, unlike most of the others having their own recorded voice as a backing vocal running to strenghten their main vocal. ^_^ The only recorded voice they are using is the "Ta Ta Ta" that comes as an echo from the word Meta which means after. Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Spain and many others are using recorded backing vocals to their main voice. In Spains case you can barely even hear the main singer because they set the backing much louder to mask her weak vocals. So you are right that such backing vocals shouldn't be allowed.
Eurovison is a song contest. It’s not Idol or the voice. So the singer should be given every possible help including auto tune to show off the song in a best possible way. Better show also if singing is pleasing to the ears and as the songwriter wanted it to be
5:55 yeah live back vocals are magic but it is cheaper that way that is now and that allows poorer countries to put up better performances (imagine performances without backing vocals at all)
I am also kinda mad they do not show us the best parts of the songs... And you are so right, some songs really overuse the backing vocals :( Some parts of like Greek or UK songs are only sang by the backing vocalists. Stripped down singing in Israeli performance comes like a huge relief after all of it :) Check out my analysis of the second rehearsals too 👋 ruclips.net/video/Ry629ys-9hI/видео.html

I love Denmark and Switzerland, think Denmark will be the surprise qualifier with her stunning vocals and praying Switzerland takes the win if the staging works as well as it looks
You’re so right Georgina, the backing vocals shouldn’t be allowed. It seems unfair. Backing vocals should be live x
For Dons they were sung live. Just in the backstage
The Netherlands 🇳🇱, Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Israël 🇮🇱
Tpo bad that both the Swiss and the Dutch singers spoke against Israel and Eden.
