Thanks, that was helpful, particularly about the type of thread used to make your own belt loops
Great info - thanks!
@Madridme3 Yes, we have considered that and have reduced the amount of music used in our instructional videos. Thanks for your comments!
For the video we did not have a new bolt, but a few days later we did pick up a new bolt from the hardware store and replaced it.
Right 😂😂
What is the sew thread material you use?It is better to use 100% high strength polyester yarn thread to sew the straps.Or the break strength is hard to be 2ton.We have tested the capacity yesterday.
Use V-92 or V-138 Polyester thread to sew straps. In this video we used a PTFE thread which is as strong as the V-92 Polyester when new, but will never weaken due to UVR exposure. Sewing a Box-X stitch or several rows of a zig-zag will increase the strength of the stitch.
nice info, but really with a sail loft and a superb sewing machine that was some real rough sewing, would have been far nicer to sew a square block and double cross it through the centre. cheers
Cant believe you caved and didnt spend the two bucks for a new bolt...
Relax. They replaced the bolt shortly after the video
@@JK-hd2zb just now following up on three year old posts?
Video ends at the most crucial point
u should have changed the bolt, not a good company
Damn you Sailrite, you screwed up big time
Why on earth would you have music with an instructional video?
Madridme3 》 so we can tap our toes watching this video.😉
