maybe, but if you have read hyrule historia you'll notice that skyward sword comes first in the history of hyrule. which means that fi could be navi, tatl, or almost any other character in any of the other games.
"Before I enter the sleep that calls me to the sword, I wish to relay to you words that I have recorded many times over the course of our journey. "Many have said them to you thus far, and now I wish to say them for myself... "Thank you, Master Link. May we meet again in another life..."
Starting tearing up by the 20 second mark. I played Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword a few years back, then this year my husband and I went through both games together. When he got to the point where he found the Master Sword in the forest in Twilight Princess, I teared up thinking about Fi.. knowing she was in the sword, but would never speak again. D':
The sad thing about this is...Just when she experienced what it is to feel...She got locked up forever. She wasn't needed as your guide anymore. She was still there when you laid ganondorf to rest in Ocarina of Time - Your blue swordglow indicated this. She was there when you shot a 'laser' in the first Zelda and every follow up. She was always there. And she could never tell anyone. Windwaker. She was buried. Underwater. Forever. These realizations made me tear up. This song didn't help.
And now, she even talks to BoTW Link, in the cutscene after he pulls the sword after waking up And in TOTK to Zelda after she was transported back in time by Zelda. She's always there...
She... She's always been there... From the very start, the very beginning... Within the Master Sword edges, always. She's always been there. For us. Even when the Sword lost its power. Even when the darkness was so deep we couldn't see any light. She was there. And she will always be. The best fellow we could ever wish for. Thank you, Fi. Farewell, dear and loved companion of my adventures.
I first played Skyward Sword the year my mother died after a 7 years battle with cancer. When Fi tells Link she will see him on another life, I couldn't help but cry. The people that love us never really leave us.
Skyward Sword would definitely be one of my fav games in the series if it wasn't for the awkward motion controls for the game, they were not properly integrated.
I think its a tie between twilight princess, skyward sword and windwaker because they all have unique things....well majoras mask is the most unique but uhhh...shut up
Its crazy to think... Through all his adventures... Fi was with him the whole time... Asleep... Not knowing of his return... But the legend moves on... without her... But she's always there... Watching over us as she sleeps through her slumber... She was the first help that link got through his adventure... Even if he travels through time... Adventures through twilight... Meets other amazing people... She's there... With him... Where are those invisible ninjas... their cutting onions again... T~T
This song is so good and so filled with such feelings that you feel sad through the whole play.Sad for what makes you feel,sad for it to end... Actually,Fi was never gone.She is still waiting for his master and friend(the Hero of Time),to see him again when the endless war between darkness and light finally comes to its end.
it's just so beautiful....I was not expecting to cry so much at the end....you really feel like you've been on a journey in this game, and the ending is so powerful.
Goodbye, my friend, thanks for the memories, yeah? Thank you, Fi, for your help, and for watching out for us through all these adventures. And thank you, Iwata, for telling us all these grand, wonderful stories, and for letting us meet all these wonderful people. Fi, Midna, Sheik, Darunia, Malon, Tetra, Niko, Navi, Makar, Ruto, hell, even Tingle... Okay, maybe not Tingle, heh. And giving us all these great villains, all these beautiful places, testing us all this time, showing us that we can be a little braver, a little more noble. Goodbye, old friend, know that even if you're gone... The Legend Continues after all of us are dust.
Whoever says that Fi is stupid has no heart. Or they have clearly not finished the game. Good bye Fi. It's been nice knowing you and it has been a privilege. Seeing your calm exterior but realizing that you held a deeper meaning than what was shown, it has made me look at life in a new light. You have effected people in ways that you cannot begin to imagine. This song defines my feelings right now, it has a greater things are yet to come feeling. A feeling of what's past and the sacrifices one has to make to embrace a greater future. For Link, your story ended, but for you, greater things have yet to come, greater things are still to be done.
+GruntSquad92 You have to try it! It's such a good game! It has a learning curve, but once you get it. You won't stop playing. That's literally how it happened to me. I would play only 2-3 hours a day, but once I got into it I played 9 hours non stop and I had to stop myself to sleep xD
+Kahlo kahlow got SS on release day, finished it about 1-2 weeks later. i was only 8 years old then. the whole game brought tears to my eyes. ghirahim was FAB U LUS!, first of all. and the story,man! even though the plot was linear it helped the game become more story based. sure, the motion controls were a bold move, but it made the game interesting. SS is my fave zelda, aside from OoT. i don't understand why there is so much hate for it. i love the music in SS, especially din's power, farore's courage, and nayru's wisdom. i also love the ballad of the goddess and fi's theme. this song reminds me how sad the ending was. i was so emotionally attached to fi. she was interesting to play with and quite frankly, i couldn't imagine the game without her. midna will remain my favorite companion, but i really don't think that fi is annoying. at least be grateful that she's not navi... but for those who haven't played a zelda game, play windwaker, ocarina, and THEN SS. understanding the concepts of a zelda game is key for playing SS. but if you've at least played windwaker and OoT, then get of ur ass and play this game!!!
+theCosmicBat It is a very beautiful game. Wait you were 8? Holy hell I feel old. The music in this game is as spectacular as most other ones. This has a more melodic tone to it though.
I have not yet had the pleasure of playing this game but even so I can feel the emotion and sadness behind it, I can't help but think of the past and how I wish I could go back and relive those moments once more just to see my old friends and the innocence we all held back then.
Honestly, I don't get why people hated this game. Yes, it had its flaws...but the storyline was absolutely fantastic. This is and will forever be my favourite Zelda game.
The first time I heard this song, I immediately starting crying as every bit of this song being beautifully played brought out a lot of emotions in me. Though, while I still haven't played this game (yet), coming back to this song every time doesn't make me near as emotional as it brings me peace. Should my time come and I want a specific song being played to put me to rest, this song better be played so everyone can listen to this song as I have enjoyed it ♡
Fi is easily the best helper character in Zelda. For all you out there who say Midna is better, I'll respect your opinion, but take a look at it. Midna was nothing but sarcastic, arrogant, rude and unhelpful during your whole journey. Sure, she's got more character than Navi, but it's not a good character, because she's really just there to taunt you into figuring out what to do. Fi, on the other hand, was a bit too helpful, and was quite annoying. Until this moment. You realize, right at the end, that all the sh*t you went through, saving Zelda, defeating demise, forging the master sword, was her burden to bear too. But unlike Midna, she doesn't complain, give you sass or taunt you. She tries to be helpful. Hell, even though she's essentially an emotionless computer, at the end of your journey she registers an EMOTION. What does Midna do? She busts the Twighlight mirror and ditches you. Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. Midna isn't as great a character as people make her out to be....
david greenwood I prefer Midna. Fai was an emotionless robot that just danced and interrupted the gameplay. Sure, I liked her, but at the very end of the game. On the other hand I hated Midna at first but as I went through the game, Midna was becoming kinder and nice to Link. They became really good friends. She had a lot of personality and she didn´t explained the same things over and over again (Your battery is getting low), her advices were not useful at all. Midna had her own story, while Fi.... almost didn´t. In my opinion Midna is a far better character.
+david greenwood It's sutile, but fi develops during the game. It is in... well, details. Like the percentages, she stop using them to explain things at some point of the story. But she keeps quiet, because she is not a companion, she is your guardian. She is unable to fight, because she is unable to use the power that she holds (Hylia's power). Only the choosen one can use it, and Fi knows it. At the start is all a Mission, the reason why she was created... but later is the cruzade to protect her only friend. And that's why she still silent until you leave the sword. And then she only has a moment to tell what she feels. At the end of the game I don't really care about Zelda, because I cried a lot thinking of Fi, trapped on the master sword, doing her mission one time and another. Saving link for centuries... always quiet.
Fi has gotta be the best companion because she always there and will never leave Link’s or Zelda’s side she gets to experience so many things and returns figured out that she too will always be a beloved companion but most importantly… a friend.
Fi has one of the best themes! This video needs more views because this beautiful song has a lot of emotions. I cant believe that something as wonderful as this only has 300 views...
I wonder if Fi would be an assist trophy in the new Smash Brothers. That'll be perfect to sneak Fi in a new game, and plus it makes sense. Someone grabs the assist trophy and out comes Fi to aid her Master. :D
This song is so beautiful with all the emotion put into it. Thank you so much Koji Kondo for making such wonderful music. This concert corale piece will always be my favorite. :')
But she still is there. In Ocarina of Time, in Legend of Zelda, she was there. And is there. She was with you, rooting for you, helping you, or trying to. Even though in Wind Waker she was buried, there is three parts of the zelda timeline, and Wind Waker is only one of them. Even though she is not needed now maybe, someday, she will be needed again.
My gosh this song... It's just so emotional... Last week after I graduated I was crying so hard and decided to play this song to remind me of my friends... I got completely killed by the feels
This game is #2 when it comes to my favorite games. This game is just amazing! In a way, I wish I could just forget about all of it and play the whole thing again.
This is one of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard, the combination of sadness and happiness is just amazing. I love those melodies that just sound like they're from ancient times, if you know what I mean, lol.

I think that most of Link's "fairy companions" have something in common--they all have their points that make them unique, and although they can all get annoying at times, to the point where you almost wish they weren't around, when they acutally leave, you can't help but feel a little (or even really really) sad. I completely understand why a lot of people didn't like this game but in the end this is one the most misunderstood games in the franchise. Playing through it again on the switch made me realize just how special this game is. I'm so glad that so many people were able to look past the horrid controls and experience one of legend of zeldas best entries. For anyone reading this and trying to decide if it's worth playing. Please do if you love good story and characters. Just please forgive the controls and some of the gimmicks, we hated them too lol.
Well I always cry at this scene, I just want to say Fi was an amazing character at the end Now I must go because no one told me my batteries are nearly depleted
If Fi taught me one thing, it's that I buy the worst brand batteries.
Made my day
HAHAHA that`s a great one :-)

Like if you cried while watching this in the game.
I can play it on the ocarina and it's really hard. You wanna know why? Cuz there's so much emotion! Even at the beginning with the blowing, I have to switch notes in a split-second and then there's the quick switch of notes... SO MUCH EMOTION =D
With music like this, just how mad can you be? I know I can't be mad at all.
Link will never be alone after this adventure. Fi will always be with him, dwelling in the Master Sword.
Listen to this on a day where the sky is blue and there are clouds scattered across the sky. You won’t regret it.
one of the best zelda games i've ever played, made getting a wii worth it really.
Tears? Wut are you doing? Tears!? STAHP!! TRoTTING
The memories there all coming back
This song makes cry... Fi has always been there... Alone... Locked into a sword...
This is so good! I really need to play this game again!

Love it :D
This farewell always gets to me ='(
SPOILER ALERT*How did link not cry when Fi said goodbye? They went through so much together...
He just knew it would have to end. No need to cry over what is doomed to happen.
Cleverdinoboy I know, Fi told Link that the batteries in his wii remote were low too many times
I know...
You never know what happens out of the game riiiight?
(Besides, I can literally see his heart crying in the cutscene T^T)

Wonderfull
~~~~~~~
Well I always cry at this scene, I just want to say Fi was an amazing character at the end
Now I must go because no one told me my batteries are nearly depleted
Indeed.
that would be so awesome
So touching...*sniff*
i'm going to fall asleep.....
The best video game song/soundtrack ever made. Even beats Dragon roost Island.
I love Nintendo
Sad but so beautiful
I'm having too many feels.
