0:33 Look at the newly coloured fence panel, there is a camera. I have seen these EVERY time before the speed camera, and ONLY before a speed camera. I think they are to photograph the variable speed limit or a red x, but not quite sure. Nonetheless, they are a very good early warning if you haven't clocked the speed camera yet
Did you get a fine? I think those are variable speed cameras, that's why they flashed. They actually were triggered because you were doing 60 just before them (I think).
Every speed camera has sensors under the road(normally marked with a small white line from start to finish) and it times how long it took you to get from one to the other then tells the camera to take your photo as you go past, they wouldn’t make it as easy just to slow down at speed cameras otherwise everyone would get away with it lol
@@ZX_64not the motoway ones, it just takes a photo of your car at the previous camera and then times you when you hit the next one. Using speed distance time it works out if you were speeding. Always makes me laugh when you see people speed past you on the motorway then slow down as they approach the camera thinking that will help
You were doing 53 mph at time of camera flash. 3mph over variable speed limit . If speed is in an red circle its and order sign and you have to comply.
ACPO guidelines, which all police forces and highways england follow is the 10%+1 guidance, due to various different factors. Such is the case with variable speed cameras on a motorway also. Flashed at 53 in a 50 won’t result in a speeding ticket. Possibly warning letter.
It's not safe to slam on the brakes at 70mph. He gradually slowed. He was at 52 as he passed the sign. If he got a fine for that, then that camera has been put there by heartless bastards who want to force drivers to either pay a fine or risk a crash.
@@greekpushty8388 Since then, I've seen something even more ridiculous - a 70mph motorway suddenly being 30! No gradual lowering of speed, just suddenly 30. I think in hindsight it was an advisory sign but you worry about speeding tickets anyway.
@@kpopfan674it’s an average camera, the speed you go past it has no baring as it times you from when you passed the last camera. His average speed would have been above the speed limit regardless if he went 10mph past the camera
Hey i have one question from Canada i am on highway speed is 70 As i was going up the ramp, speed was 50 km per hour (recommended) The drive safe car flashed I donno was it for me or someone else
When the Speed camera is active. And the sings of the panels showing the 50mph you need to drive with 50mph. If you pass that speed limit what is shown on this you get flash by camera. So enjoy your fine now 😂👍
People watching to make sure if you got caught by a speed camera----->

In qld australia we use infrared flashes on the new cameras. It’s so the flash is not harmful to safe driving

Im pretty sure it uses radar as primary way to tell speed while the marking is secondary way to double check it was speeding

Even if he exceeded it by 3 or to miles an hour, because that what it was?
From 2 mph over the speed limit, you'll get flashed
