Ordering Cult Beauty to South Africa? | FAIL

- Besties! Please watch in 1080p🤍 I attempted ordering from Cult Beauty so you don't have to. Was it a W or a L? You decide! After seeing so many positive reviews from fellow South Africans I was convinced to give it a try... but what a surprise it was.
Once again, I want to reiterate that Cult Beauty is a highly accredited beauty website in the UK and I do not think the main problem lies with them. The problem comes in with the international shipping to our country.

Honestly the shipping process changed. I ordered three times before under R500, didn't pay any customs and was delivered in two weeks. This was 2020/2021 that time I was in a remote area and still delivery was smooth. When I ordered again this year that's when I encountered problems. They use the post office now, it took 2 and half months so it was stuck in customs for two months and I paid R307 customs for an order of less than R500. So yea, our post office is the problem
Hi,which address did you use if you don’t mind me asking. I ordered some stuff and my order got cancelled 2 weeks later due to some “shipping restrictions “. Whatever that means…
The shipping problems are due to our Post Office. Parcels under 1kg are now forced to go through the Post Office and the amount charged by the Post Office (for parcels under R500) is not import duties but the fee the Post Office charges you to deliver the parcel.
Paying almost thrice via Takealot for the same products would never make sense to me. I’d rather deal with the hassle of the Post Office.
I actually got a fake product from takealot coz I was tired of waiting for my cult beauty order

@@amandamhlongo5457 And you can never tell that it's a fake unless you go through everything with a fine tooth comb. At 1st I realised that the way the batch number is written was different from my empties I had gotten from cult and from then I noticed so many things and my skin started purging. It's a lot,😢

So the shipping has since become terrible when they changed from DHL to FedEx. Before it took less than a week, now it's been almost a month or so. Was also charged customs for something less than 500. Which I never used to 🥺🥺
It seems like they changed owners which is why the shipping also changed! I was so excited to get all of these products to SA☹️

@@fariefaa the general rule of thumb is 40 to 60% of the total value of your purchase irrespective of the amount of money spent on your purchase.
I placed my order on the 14th of April and it still hasn't arrived and the last update from them is on the 20th. Should i be worried yet?
It was an absolute nightmare!
Their service was good, but from there on it unravelled.
They've send it in 4 different boxes and I had to pay at least R550.00 extra, because they used SA post office.
I had to pay R124.00 for a box with a tiny little sample inside, which I threw away.
NEVER AGAIN.
I placed my order in towards the end of January. I only received it today on the 12th of May 😅. I will never order from them again. The price is good but the wait time is not worth it at all

I'm literally in the same boat as you were, I've just been told that my order has been lost, I opted for them to re order, but I'm very skepitical at this point.
Ordered from Cult Beauty. Received the order 2 months later and majority of the products were damaged. So disappointing 😞
If it says At Office. First Notification to recipient. Does that mean they sent me an sms cause I got NOTHING and I’ve been waiting since December
I placed my order on the 17th of February and the estimated delivery was the 4th of March to the 10th, but it was not delivered, I received a msg saying I'm must collect my parcel at the post office on the 22nd of March.
The waiting and all this is not worth it, I'll never buy again from them I better buy from Takealot

I am still waiting for my order. It's the second time I order from cult beauty and I am not so happy thus far. Before it was with DHL and they deliver straight to your door and I didn't pay customs cause the products were less than R500. I'm finding the process now is just different. I had the impression that delivery would be to my door and not the post office. I don't trust the south African postal services at all. So we will see in the next couple of days what happens.
Hopefully you still receive your order! The postal service is a nightmare🤕

@@angelamokhabela5199 i have received my package now. It came via the postal service speed courier service. I had to pay custom costs but they only want cash. I didn't have on me but I had pick n pay nearby so made a plan otherwise my package would have Gone back to the airport.

@@angelamokhabela5199 I purchased products worth $40 around R700 ( I changed the currency on the site from pounds to dollars). And custom costs was R317.

@@hawamngomeni334 hey, it took 2.5 months to get here. Post office texts you the night before then they bring it. They only take cash.
I had placed an order 1st week in Jan, basically shipping status did say that its in SA my post office had not received it. i contacted them via Instagram - they responded with in the next 2 working days. So there after i also asked them to replace it. They did after a month I got in contact with them again. Thereafter just asked for a refund.
I recently placed an order with cult beauty on March 8, 2022, and have yet to receive my package. It was meant to be sent by FedEx, but my tracking status has been stuck on transit since the 10th of march and on April 2nd it changed to a delivery exception for reasons I don't understand I tried emailing cult beauty, but they haven't provided me with a valid reason why I haven't received my item at this time. I'm not sure who to contact because I can't find any information regarding who to contact in this case other than mailing them emails or chatting with them on their website. At this point, I don't know what to do. I'm very disappointed, Angifuni ukungasho.

I ordered mine on the 12. Was supposed to get my things latest on the 31st..i just got my package now. The post office delivered it but I had to pay an additional R420(duty/vat/clearance fee). I think this is mad considering I already paid customs but anyways...honestly I m done with the store.
