I really thought they'd surprise me and keep him around...But bring on season 2 next year! See my full uncut live reactions to the episodes over on Patreon www.patreon.com/BrandonReviews
I honestly expected him to say something like that in this moment. Especially after seeing homelander feel sad about Ryan not doing a solo super save. I knew it would be something pathetic to be sad about.
a really interesting aspect of Blue's death is that he himself foreshadows it in the Orphanage. He says he's going to die, out of the light, a dog's death. Very melancholic, a "live by the sword " perspectice really. Season 2 is adapting a fan favourite arc, so strap in bc its gonna be dope.
I always felt so bad for D. You could tell that if he died in that fight, he’d be fine because he would have went down how he wanted to, being seen as a genuine threat by one of the Dragon Keepers. But instead, Peltrola cheap shotted Blue taking any chance of victory or loss from D… Well I’m happy that we will get to see more of the series’s best girl next season (and I’m not talking about Suzukiri) ^^
This makes me think.... is D Kaido, Blue Luffy and Peltrola that CP0 guy? The situation is very similar, just reverse who the strong one is between the two.
Actually, I took it at a different angle. The way I saw it was this way. Its very obvious that the Blue Ranger had to die, but in such a way that not only it makes sense, its also relevant and impactful at the same time. As far as he was concerned, he was living a life that he didn't want, or was forced into, and kept it status quo, while not only maintaining that false image, but also keeping a promise that he would uphold, until the time of his demise. While "D" on the other hand, felt like at the beginning of the story, as mentioned by the lunatic boss, he became a rare malady that was suppose to be create to become literal cannon fodder, that just do what the leaders and overseers want them to do, literally become expendable, long enough to slow, weaken, or even cause havoc, until they die. But somehow both "D" and "XX" developed some form of cognitive reasoning or "sentient" personality, which to their leaders, is an oversight that should be eliminated right away. Throughout the entire 1st season, its been a series of lies, deception, betrayals, and cover ups, due to a sense of duty, pride, and a sadistic sense of justice. Its a reason to give the people that are not involved, a sense of peace of mind living in an imaginary world, while the real truth its being silenced under everyone's noses. The story being told has been nothing but intriguing and disturbing. But overall, its a very new way to introduce a story in which what we are all suppose to be "normal" living, doesn't seem to appear the way it should be. And what's worse, there are too many collaborators, in which everyone doesn't see everything eye to eye. In fact, it generated too many conflicts, not only among the Monsters, but also among the Rangers, and the organizations themselves. But once the Blue Ranger dies, it literally sets things in motion to where even "D" remained dazed and confused, even after killing the Blue Ranger, which appeared that killing one for some odd reason what not in his plans. Defeating one yes, but not kill one. It just creates a problem that would have never been necessary. But it opens up a situation in which "XX" made that decision to be completely sided with the Monster Boss that they both thought was suppose to be dead/destroyed. And as for the other Rangers, it now puts in into motion to decide what their next moves are going to be. Especially with the "Yellow" Ranger, and her twisted form of entertainment, considering that her ultimate goal is to uncover the truth to the public that would have created a public outcry never seen before, while staying out of the way. I'm really looking forward to their return with an open mind, and a see how much further down the rabbit hole will the conspiracies continue to fall, now that the Blue Ranger is dead. Also, I'm curious to see how many Humans/Minor Rangers are willing to coexist/collaborate with the Monsters, while all this is going on? Until next time, Enjoy!
i am sad to see Blue dying this way and I am sally. Now I want D to kill peltora even more. Now knowing his baackstory he was criminal before this but with heart and changed for the better. He wated to protect those he care about and did not want to lose anymore loved ones and friends. While Red keeper his true scumbag not caring for others and only being being annoying because blue died and they can't maintain their ginyu force moves. They really know how to leave you hungry for more: what happned tu suzukiri, D more determined then ever to solo the keepers and peltora still on the lose
I initially dismissed this show because of the first episode, but I'm glad I kept watching. Animes are about stories and characters and this show has a strong story and very interesting characters. This is a must watch.
Blue Keeper's death was sad and great character. Can't wait for S2 next year and what happened to the real Hibiki and what happened to his face. We'll find out.
I'm just chagrined at the level of progress this show is taking the power ranger idea and twisting into a unique direction not bad 😌 can't wait to see more in the future, also XX really need to break out of that mentality prison something is telling me that it can only go south for them eventually 😣
For me it's the fact that there are humans who either want the monsters & humans to co-exist or they have unknown motives for what they are doing. I also believe Fighter D is getting stronger, when he realized that he had been hit but still felt light on his feet may mean that he's getting stronger. Hope he evolves to not quite a boss monster but better than a fighter. Something new.
Wow did not expect that blue dragon keeper will go down like that, but I’m curious what is Suzukiri goal I still think she either a boss monster or a fighter like D.
Bruh do u even watch the anime? It's literally revealed in the last ep (even tho it shouldn't have been revealed according to the manga but they did and it's pretty clear she's a human)
Wonder if D will also trie to save XX she seems sad that things ended up this way and she does not any other way to live. The boss monsters really don't care for fighter only seeing them as puppets and cannon fother
This one exceeded my expectations for sure. Walked into it thinking it was going to be a parody of the classic power rangers with a slight twist given who our main character is. Now I’m walking out of season one having experience a story where someone questioned the status quo and decided to basically start a renegade revolution. Definitely will be tuning in for season two when that comes out. Hell i’m glad there is going to be a season two of this at all.
I thought D was either gonna outsmart Blue or maybe have some sort of evolution as a monster to give him a little bit of power. That shot to his neck just totally blindsided me and I’ve been loving that so much about this anime. It just always goes in a direction you wouldn’t think and it does it so well
I actually liked this series for being out of pocket. D is good for being an anti-hero and Red Keeper is a well written Homelander psychotic vibe antagonist. The next arc is going to be insane and I'm happy we are getting a S2.
First off I will say F and RIP to blue keeper who no longer is with us. But yeah this was an awesome episode that had good action, great characterization, and even better twists. As first when fighter D did reveal himself to the blue keeper I did not know how that battle was going to turn out. Especially since D seemed to be on the losing side despite blue keeper’s injuries. But I did not expect him to by killed by a laser blast from a bird. As that was so unexpected, and as he transformed back into a humans after saying his final words. D was so unsatisfied because of how his kill was stolen by someone that he dislike as how as the keepers. Also we got to see some backstory in how the fighters were created as canon fodder for the boss monsters. But that did not go as planned as they were defeated after only 3 months. Some of them had blind loyalty and decided to go to the surface and fight and die with honor rather than being kept as slaves. XX asked D to join her but D was too much of a coward back then. Which really shows us how much he has changed as now he seeks out challenges even if they might be too much for him. But XX as she started off as more brainwashed than him. Still is not there as she does not know any other way of living than following her masters. Later we also got a scene with Suzukiri where she is a sociopath. Wanting the keepers secret to get revealed to the wider public. Also red keeper is such a psychopath as he only cared about his co worker blue dying. And it now will affect his team victory pose. Combine with how he beat someone else to death and then just went to a meeting without getting ride of the blood on his clothes.
The prologue is over and now the real fight begins (the official Twitter for the anime even says that ‘the real action begins now.’) Bailong arc is considered the lowest part of the series (the arc is really long in the manga) and it’s only up from here.
Ngl I’m salty. I have a bad taste in my mouth because D didn’t get to finish that fight. o7 Blue keeper. I hope saving XX is possible. It was great to see hibiki again. Lastly, I applaud the fight between D and blue keeper, it was a good fight 👏👏👏 I can’t wait for season 2
I don't remember the convo between red and his junior in the manga Even the scene where red caughts his member seems like anime addition I reread the manga few days ago but i Don't remember these scenes and even if there was something like this who was that red member even talking with as a manga reader I don't think theres anything related to this?
I love this show so very much, but i feel that this final episode was very disappointing. First time i would ever call any episode of this series like that. Blue's defeat was unceremonious, the fight wasn't particularly serious and i think we just jump cut to everybody finding out Blue is done for. I'm still excited to see the continuation and i already bought the currently released manga volumes to show my support... but i think that last episode would have made for a much more explosive finish
I really thought they'd surprise me and keep him around...But bring on season 2 next year! See my full uncut live reactions to the episodes over on Patreon www.patreon.com/BrandonReviews
The fact that red keeper was mad because blue keeper was the perfect height for group composition killed me
Red is my fav Idc what anyone says he's built different 😂
Pink for me but at a reasonable good enough distance 😅to not get my head kicked away like Nezuko did to that demon 😂
Wanna beat on how long his new JFC has to live? 😂
I honestly expected him to say something like that in this moment. Especially after seeing homelander feel sad about Ryan not doing a solo super save. I knew it would be something pathetic to be sad about.
@@Azure_Sky222 The anime is like "The Boys meets Power Rangers". The Red Keeper is just like Homelander.

Bro Blue Keeper’s death was crazy, XX eating Peltrola was crazy, and the end with Hibiki was CRAZY!!!!!!!!
How many plot twist you want in your work?
Author : Yes
Despite D emotions how things ended up, gotten respect his drive to continue his way no matter what or how things might unfold ahead
So glad we getting season 2 the next arc is going to be wild
Suzukiri is enjoying all the hard work D is putting in to collect the divine weapons.

Nah the uncertainty team assist was real in this episode
I am legitimately shocked in a good way I honestly thought xx would team up with d and I honestly thought D would out smart blue keeper
Ever since hearing the premise for this show 10 months ago been looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait for season 2
Ouch what a way to conclude this season 😧, well D will still be that guy for season 2 no doubt
As a manga reader all I can say is you’re going to love what happens next.
I'm so upset ToT... Blue Keeper was the best, he was real Hibiki's savior too. A lot of people got saved by him :(
Just a small correction hibiki and his sister got saved by the previous blue keeper (the one that was running the orphanage)
@@codyfox7362 ahh thanks for that! but still so sad ToT

Ok that was dumb don't steal D's kill it would have been honorable lost but nope. Four Power Ranges left.
Didn't thought it would end like that 😢 gotta expect the worst of future monsters bosses for season 2
