I’m sorry about the audio glitch at 2:16; it seems as though I didn’t carry the Macabre trailer over properly. Again, I’m sorry! I’ll be more careful in the future.

WOW! I loveeee this. I don’t really have a lot of knowledge of early film, and this was so informative! I can’t wait to see more content from you 😊

What a fun and informative video - thank you! I love all the schlock of William Castles films. "The Tingler" still gives me the willies. 😊 Going to subscribe now and I really look forward to more of your videos. Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the kind words and subscription! I agree - the screaming in “The Tingler” is so unsettling, especially as the screen goes black. I wish I could see the film in theaters. Have a great weekend!

I love old films and don't have a single friend who even watches TCM, just not interested... (I'm 64, maybe too young or too old?) Love your videos & hope you'll make more! Thx.

The perfect drive in movies, try some Rodger corman ones too. I like your channel a lot, hope you can do a video on Forman

I completely agree. I’ve actually met Roger Corman before and he was incredibly nice. This was January 2020, just before the pandemic. We watched Masque of the Red Death and afterwards we were able to meet Corman and ask him questions!

I'm assigning this to my undergrad students as part of a class I'm teaching on the American horror film. Thanks for the great work!
Question: would you consider fixing the audio and reposting? In addition to the disappearing sound at 2:16, the audio mix is panned hard to the left, which makes for a weird headphones experience.

Hi, thank you so much! That is honestly a really huge honor and I would be happy to fix those mistakes for you. This was actually my first video and I managed to somehow record the audio in mono instead of stereo.. I can fix it for you this weekend and re-upload it on Sunday! Would that work? What other movies/videos are you making your students watch?

you missed Zotz! hah. In that one, the Columbia lady was portrayed by a live actress, with Castle pointing and saying Zotz! which actually would have killed her in the movie's lore. But she is a goddess, I guess and immune so only questions "Zotz?" and Castle is on screen with her. The film stars Tom Poston based upon a novel of the same name, but has different outcome and events. The Columbia lady returns at the film's end, saying "Zotz's all!" as in "That's all!"

STRAIT-JACKET was a poorly-produced film, but wasn't it a modest box office success?
