Thank you Reuven and all others involved. Other than understanding in a vague way that the Talmud is an expansive commentary I've never gotten past that. I'm reading the Tanakh for the first time and am about halfway through Ezekiel.
Some questions for anyone out there who is knowledgeable on the subject:
-I'm assuming that the Talmud cannot be considered Divine, but is it considered holy or sacred?
-How did/does an opinion in the Talmud get approved for inclusion in the Daf and its appendages?
-If a scholar today has a fresh opinion that should be included in the Talmud how does he get it entered?
-Do Talmud scholars study strictly in Aramaic, or also Hebrew? And they must become fluent readers in one or both of these languages? Is study ever done in the language of the land of the student?
Thanks for whatever feedback you're able to give.

As an Indian, I know the struggle of Jewish people. The most intelligent people I have ever seen. It is very sad to see Muslims and Christians attacking these people. If I were Prime Minister of India, I would have brought Jews to India. ✡️🕎 😌
