These remind me of the brooms dancing in Disney's The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, LOL! The heavier thread looks nice on the solid fabrics.

I'm really liking the heavier threads on this project and wish I had a better selection of them. I thought this seam looked like a line of dancing flowers! But your interpretation of the dancing brooms is perfect!

When my thread starts to twist, after I have pulled it through I roll the needle between my thumb and first finger and it untwists it. That was an interesting stitch, loved it. Have a blessed week.

I do that without even thinking about it. But sometimes I need more twist out, and that’s when I let it dangle!

I have been learning to sew & I love generosity crazy quilting allows. Perfection is not going to be happening. I am hand stitching quilts that people can use & wash. I have scared of doing the stitches other than, I use back stitching to put the pieces together & I have been using a stem stitch of various colours to help hold the seams from top. I think I maybe I may machine stitch the crazy part & add a variety of different stitches. I am not brave yet to do the majority of what you have done, there are some that make getting there easier with practice. Thank you you’re an inspirational teacher that encourages me to try. Your pillow is scrumptious, love the colours. Thank you & have a grand day. 🌻

I'm so glad you're feeling inspired to try! Just remember that all these "fancy" seams are simply combinations of the same basic stitches! Happy stitching!

This is a great stitch combo! You always inspire me. I am working on an EPP project with lots of embroidery.

Dear Lisa, WOW another fantastic video, I have learned so so much about different embroidery stitches, especially the combination ones. Would you ever consider making a video on just how to do the different stitches, I think it would be fantastic for all of us who love your detailed and relaxed style of tutorials. Take care dear one.

I’m working on crazy quilt blocks I started quite a few years ago. They have a Christmas theme, I bought silk tie scraps from Robert Talbott factory. I called and they asked me if I’d like Christmas tie off cuts. I really hit it lucky they were beautiful and color coordinated. So they look pretty together. I’m having a lot of fun with them. This might not be the place to ask, but do you still go to crazy quilt retreats. I’d sure like to find one, but I want one that someone recommends. I sure wish I could stitch as quickly as you. This project has been so much fun to watch.

My first crazy quilt pieces were from scraps of silk ties too! Have fun with them!
There haven't been a lot of crazy quilt retreats since the pandemic, but I do know of a couple.
e-mail me at ivoryblushroses@gmail(dot)com and I'll send you the info.
