I think every Star Wars reader needs to learn is how to create their own Cannon, mix and matching books form both ‘Legends’ and ‘Cannon’. For example, my personal Star Wars Cannon includes the Darth Bane trilogy (legends), the High Republic series (Cannon), Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy (Cannon), and the original Thrawn Trilogy (Legions). I hold onto the bits I like from both sides of the line, and ignore the material that I don’t think makes the cut.

How does this have so few views?? At first I thought the view counter was bugged and missed a trailing «K»
    Amazing production quality!

I’m a huge fan of all of the continuities, and love youtini’s commitment to enjoying “all Star Wars.”

As someone who has been reading the EU since it’s conception, I like both Legends and Canon. Both have good materials (and bad) so it’s a mix bag. I remember when I first read the Thrawn trilogy. I ordered them from a book club and got them right when they were published and loved reading them. But I also love to read the new canon novels. Your video is great on those who can get confused about what is Legend and Canon, it can be rather confusing these days. So great video to put out there.

People take the Canon and Legends branding to literal. It's just a in Universe label. Do you Accept the Official history or the Myths. Its a reflection of our real world. Its meant to be fun immersive factor...

I resent how prominent the distinction between cannon and legends is. It diminishes the story telling tradition and shrinks the universe. Almost all of it works together anyway and it’s just a big fat label created by a company. When I collect, I only buy versions without the legends tag. It’s one big myth.

The 2 camps are Expanded Universe and Disney Star Wars, if you want a rich canon full of great diverse characters and amazing story arc the Expanded Universe is for you. If you want what Disney Star Wars produces then go at it. My choice is Expanded Universe and myself and like minded people dont consider Disney Star Wars canon even though officially it is...for the moment, till then May the Force be with us all and #LONGLIVETHEEU
