Vaxis II is so far my favorite.
Chris Pennie was a touring member of the band and only recorded on one album. "The Year of the Black Rainbow" - 12 years ago

Penne is a very skilled technician, but the return of Josh Eppard brings a soul and grove to the drum kit that I’ll take 100% of the time. Josh does more with less.

Noice. I'm surprised at the lack of Coheed reactions on RUclips. I know they haven't been as popular in the mainstream since GA1 and they've turned some fans off with some of their poppy stuff as of late, but damn is this band underrated. Killer musicians and a great live show.

Josh Eppard is the drummer. He was the original drummer of the band and left for two albums (No World For Tomorrow and Year of the Black Rainbow), but came back from The Afterman on.

What's up fellas! regarding the story behind their music, it's still a part of the original story that Claudio and Co. started writing way back when. They're still being adapted as comic books as well! Super cool stuff :) and they did take a one-album break from that story, but it's all coming back around!

Pennie isn't with the band anymore, he was technically only on one album, Year of the Black Rainbow. The current drummer is the original drummer Josh Eppard, who has been back for the past 4 albums and will be on the upcoming 5th.

@@johnnyneedham9831 The band needed to cancel some shows last year not just because of the pandemic but also because of some health issues experienced by Josh. There is one show where he actually collapsed after performing. But I'm glad to see and hear Josh doing great now. He was able to make a collaboration song last year with the title "Strange Things". Josh is also a badass rapper named "Weerd Science" You should check out his songs.
