Welcome to 4K Motoring!
Although we messed up our first oil change video, we caught our next one! This is a step-by-step oil change guide for our 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4S, which shares it's engine with the Panigale, Streetfighter, and Diavel V4 Models. We chose Motul for their superior oil quality and protection (but any Motorcycle-Specific 15w50 should work). Save money and change your oil yourself!

Thanks for the video. I will leave the maintenance light aka idiot light to stay ON and probably get it reset when I do a valve check or trade-it in.
Thanks for the info!
Next time i will try to do it myself ! thank you
Great video. Will this kit fit a 2023 Diavel V4?
Yes!
Really wondering what the oil color will look like in a year, I've gota clear clutch cover and the red oil would look great in that.
The red looks awesome in the sight glass initially, but 1,000 miles in and it just looks like oil
Hey thanks man, I have a 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 and I'm going to start changing the oil myself. I have had the dealership do it so far to document for the warranty. I have Put on 13,000 miles since this March. How do you document for the factory warranty. By the way I installed a Termignoni Dragster Titanium Exhaust on my Diavel V4 at 11,500 miles and also Upmapped it. 😂 See Slow Rider Ducati.
Save your receipts when you purchase the oil, that should be adequate documentation. By law, they can only invalidate your warranty if they can prove something you did caused the failure. Changing your oil yourself with a reputable brand is not something they can deny your warranty for as long as you can prove you did it.
Hi, what spec is the bolt use to pry open the oil filter cap? Does doing the oil change yourself cause any warning lights to appear? Thanks.
The bolts I use are M8-1.25x30 and they fit perfectly. Changing your oil yourself does not cause any new lights to appear or void your warranty, but I have also not found a way to clear the oil change light that occurs on the bike without going to the dealership. My dealership charges me a quarter hour labor to clear the light only.
@@4KMotoring thank u so much for the info. It’s really helpful.
If I do this myself will I loose my warranty? I have one more year left
Nope! Keep your receipts. Can't void your warranty for doing your own service by law
That was the easy part. Now figure out how to reset the service light!
Gotta go to the dealer because Ducati wants you to pay $500 for an oil change.
My dealer will clear the code and update the computers for about half of an hour labor rate, talk to yours about it! Still searching for a third party option, nothing seems available for the V4 yet
